  1. The reason you saw that is because the only thing ever needed for mage staking was 99 hp/magic/possibly some defence lol. A 1-1-99 with 99 hp and magic is the same exact thing as a maxed main when it comes to mage staking. Not true at all. I was 108 cmb with 99 hp, mage, and defense. I staked a lot of level 80s who thought the same thing that defense didn't matter. I won like 99% of those. And I was a relatively "bad" staker. I sucked at the obstacle trick so I always staked just regular boxing with wands and movement. I had plenty of people to stake though these were usually for 1-10m, the phat stakes were no movement. Even with out the obstacles having movement on add a lot of strategy to the game, there was very little "gambling" involved. If you screwed up you knew it and you usually lost because of it. Defense doesn't matter... I was a maxed mage as well and fought several 1 def pures whom I splashed against quite frequently. http://www.runescape.com/kbase/guid/magic_faq - The Knowledge base can still be inaccurate but I think it's mainly your Magic level that dictates the defence and not the defence skill, but that's just my assumption  Staking options should be like a trade window though where you both select options, if your options clash it needs to match exactly before you start (you can see what opponents options and it'd be a side by side window of the equiptment and rules) then certain stakers dont turn on plates, or other things to try and cheat their way in ;) Yeah I've read that before but I still disagree with it from my experience. The fact that from the thousands of 1-def pures I fought, I splashed just as much as they did while I was 99 defense, makes me believe that defense doesn't matter at all. Perhaps jagex mean the gear you can wear at higher melee defence levels then, meaning on stakes where you have no armour it makes zero difference

  3. My account is secure enough, let's go one step further, my computer is secure enough.
  4. They never reigned :P Why not? They don't do any programming they just post on forums and organise events like this.
  5. Could be like how zombie fest works, at certain time you will be instructed to follow a J-Mod to fend off hoards of raging undeads. The community management team won't be able to pull that off tbh
  6. Since Ryan was first please discuss the update here. :shades:
  7. Wouldn't Runescape lagg more if more players were logged into game and using the servers? Yes... Especially considering bots tend to send much more "clicks" over the net than regular players who tend to get distracted more often :) Such as on w84... I wouldn't say more clicks is necessarily right, players talk and spam click things ;)
  8. There is no such thing  -- Bamboo is definitely the best entry level tablet you'll find. However, if you get more interested in the field of digital art, upgrading to an Intuos is worth it. Then there's the Cintiq, but the opinions are mixed on this one. Some people like the fact that you actually draw on the screen, but I've seen a lot of people argue that it lacks the precision and feel of an Intuos. I haxed, I got intous 3 sorry a few years ago ;)
  9. there's no real excuse, if Jagex wanted players to have a set, make a full set what 2 pieces of the armour currently have and let it all be bound that way its balanced, it does seem a shame, gauntlets/boots will never be used, and very rarely legs will be
  10. The cave in the north-west wilderness (zamorak temple in around 40 wilderness near kbd) has been unused since it was introduced with Whilst Guthix Sleeps, has no left click option.. and looks like a gooood location to have it.
  11. True, and you can 1-item. So if you have plenty of food, a decent weapon for f2p, and some green dhide, this could be paradies. You limit your drop table severely by doing that, corrupt dragon and lesser statues? no thanks :P
  12. new money maker, peak mode at corp, wait for player to die, telegrab ;) if teams still use karils that is :P
  13. Since there's a topic already going on (that I didn't noice) about staking it's better to discuss it - here ;)
  14. Boxing was like.. the most safest :P for noobs, at least I mean, you could totally pwn your opponent if you wore like Barrows and then just equipped Torva when the fight began, you know :P That stake would take toooo long though ;)
  15. how it was always done ;) I find changing the options are harder than it used to be maybe because I haven't dueled much :P Box staking used to be quite fun though!
  16. Pirates hook, eye patch & the pirates hat ;) I can see it from here
  17. I have an Intous 5 and I loveee it
  18. A polished professional logo within a day is kind of dreaming isn't it :P?
  19. Will staking have default templates, say: Melee #1 default which is only melee, no movement, special attack, nothing else. Boxing - Only fists can be used, no movement or anything else. to make it fairer and less people cheat staking?
  20. They will stay I think, encouraging players to trade around the GE
  21. Then I can give away my bank to friends can't wait
