I hop if there's someone before me. I hop when someone comes in and picks a fight/indicates he's going to stay. As the slayer spots filled up, and the original hopping "slayer code" waned, I've learned to quit getting frustrated and just hop. I don't see any charm in wasting my limited time to play in arguing or "fighting" over a spot to see who has the biggest [self-censure]. If I boost some silly teenager's ego by making him think he's oh so powerful because he drove me away, so be it.

In farming, all experience matters unless you want to spend a fortune, so if a hops/berry patch isn't too far out of the way, why not do it? For example the berry patch at Varrock, it's just one rechargeable bracelet tele away. Same goes for Miscellania berry patch: when you're there for updating MTK, you might just as well pass by the patch. As a bonus, it'll give you a stack of free poison berries to pay for calquats. Or when you're at Yanille to get your sand (unless you use lunar), why not use the hops patch to get the hops you need to pay for that evil plant in Ardougne, which gives another 1,5k farming xp? But maybe I'm weird that way. Whenever I'm in Catherby, when not planting trees, I still do a quick run to my palm tree for 6 coconuts.

For now, I'm fine with it. I'm finally finding some time to catch up with the load of quests Jagex spawned over the last few months (still four to go, only completed the first part of Summer quest yesterday :). For me, the game has plenty of content as it is. I was shocked out of my wits when I realised that GWD was released well over a year ago, when it feels like it's still brand new, and I still haven't found the courage to try out the bosses. Or summoning, I still feel like I haven't had the time to really invest in the skill. Those weekly updates were simply way too frequent for me to keep up to date.

Slightly off-topic: you can fiddle around a bit with the Tip.It combat calculator. At 99 melee, you could reach 138 with 98 prayer and 96 summoning. Good news for me, considering that my melee and slayer was nearly maxed by the time they released summoning.

Keep it simple and light. And keep your hands free for equipment (such as axe, secateurs,...). You can fiddle around a bit with the basic wear in Varrock's clothes shop, which is weightless/no fuss and can be nice if you combine it well. I wear ringmaster top, hood + slayer cape, red boots, red gloves, explorer ring or cw ring for easy banking. That's it... 3 KG I think. When doing running trips, just boots of lightness and spottier cape. Efficiency > looks. Plus, a cheap outfit means no worries about randoms when you're reading forums, watching TV,...

No, shame on you. I don't know how you define "this world", but there's a reason why the digital divide is considered a real and important social issue and a part of social exclusion. Read this for an eye-opener.

Do Catholics use medicine? Determining when someone lives or dies is exactly what you do when you take antibiotics/cancer treatments, etc. Actually, catholics say that all life is sacred and that every suffering has a meaning (being a reflection of how Jesus suffered). God gives us life, so we have to do all in our power to keep that gift, even if we suffer; only God has the power to take the gift back. So, inducing death is not allowed, whereas sustaining life would be applauded. Even though I have many doubts regarding this attitude, I suppose we should be thankful of the deep impact of catholic education/research on the development of medicine.

From 85/90 to 99, Dorgeshkaan really is the fastest course. I know the hard-core ape atoll'ers are against it, but I would suggest you try it out for yourself. It's faster and requires a lot less clicking, making it nicer, in my opinion, to do while reading/watching tv/... But it takes a while to get the hang of it.

Putting things very black/white for a minute, I'd say pick according to taste: For the best parties: Spain. For the best education: France. For the biggest amount of (ancient) culture: Greece.

The thing is, I wasn't talking about my "boobs", but about my FACE and my subtle capabilities as a woman to charm the socks off any man. Gods, you teenagers really have no sense of subtility.

No (harsh) reproof meant, but the exact same topic is still on the first page, made yesterday. http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=765852

23, but a happy 23. A lack of sleep is rather a sign of me having fun than me being down. So, yeah.

From my experience, do it on Wednesdays if you can. The chat is always full, lots of people hunting, making sure you have the locations in no time. I've only been able to hunt on Wednesday once, and I had my 15 penguin points in less than half an hour because there were always plenty of people at the right locations! You simply tele and follow the crowds. Last week, I waited until Monday evening and it took me 1,5 hours, with me being the most active searcher and pointing the road to the others.

I'm sorry, I haven't understood a word you wrote either. I'm simply going to assume we are on a completely different plane.

Same here. I've been playing for three years now, and I can count the times I've been bothered about being a girl on one hand. Edit, hah I see that on the 23 of November 2007, I wrote the exact same in this thread:

October 15th 2008 - PVP Worlds + Game Log In Improvements
Sumpta replied to darkjab's topic in General Discussion
Mweh, this is so not my cup of tea. I doubt that even those gloves could tempt me onto a pvp world. But I'll happily take advantage of a rise in need for pots and food that I will supply from my safe world :. -
As long as we're talking about legal ways of making money, especially when we're talking about the rather insane amount of 830 $: - either you're old enough to work, be it a student job, menial tasks, using a talent (playing music, graphical design,...) or a 'real' job - or you depend on others (parents, grandparents,...) and can only hope to win their affection and save what little they like to give you When option 1 and option 2 aren't possible, the only thing you can do is economise and wait for better times. It's what we all do when we want something we haven't got the money for, job or no job: tighten the belts, drop some of the things we don't really need and save. Welcome to the adult world, kid :P.

CURSE YOU WOMEN AND YOUR EVIL POWERS. Life hands each and every one of us both tools and deficiencies we have to work with. It's just a question of using the tools available to negotiate around the deficiencies. So you'll find me completely unrepentant :.

Is there a point? Is there a reason to live or die?
Sumpta replied to No_99_Melee's topic in Off-Topic
Bleh, wondering about the meaning of life is wasting your life. Why am I here? What is my purpose? These may seem questions that make you look smart or philosophical or deep, but they don't. A better question would be: what am I doing with this life that's been given to me? I agree with the corny message of warrior. Life's what you make of it. We all have our own reasons why we get up every morning, and I daresay they're all valid. -
In response to the discussion above: obviously a person who chooses euthanasia takes the time beforehand to think about his life and get the lasts things done if he is so inclined. Euthanasia actually gives people that opportunity, which you often don't have if you wait for a natural death. I won't be able to say goodbye if I'm slowly turning into a vegetable. Nor will my family and friends be able to say goodbye to the person they knew and loved. Also remember that just because you decide for euthanasia today, doesn't you'll be dead tomorrow. There is still quite a lot of paperwork to do, arrangements to me made etc. You get to decide what to do with the time that's left.

Best way to train crafting in my very humble opinion is to combine different methods: - buy the daily stocks of seaweed and get your 84 buckets of sand every day to make glass - buy up to 64 staves from zaff every day for air staves - you could buy the air orbs or make them yourself; either way you make money - make bracelets, but accept a loss - craft dragonhides if you can get them, but accept a loss If you're aiming to get a high magic level some day, don't let the opportunity of crafting pass you by: there are great enchanting, alching and glass-make possibilities in the skill. You will regret not using them later on.

Depends on your frustration threshold. You will fall very often.

I'm from Belgium, where euthanasia is allowed, and I am completely pro. When life has gotten to the point that it is unbearable to you, you must be allowed to end it. Recently, a famous Belgian writer was euthanised by his own choice. It was rather controversial. He was developing Alzheimer and decided to end his life, while he was still conscious enough to make the choice. I could not support his choice more; no rational creature deems a life without reason worth living. But since he didn't have full-blown Alzheimer yet, he was criticised. The church chose to call the man a coward, because according to them, a human being gains by suffering... people give up too easily. I wonder what gain there can be in spending the last few years of your life in agony...

Enjoyable read. I do like your posts, but the insights can be too elaborated. The problem with philosophy and the big questions of life, is that it is easy to make threadbare points. On some points, there is not always the need to be explicit. The best writers leave some gaps to be filled in by the reader, even if this means that not every reader will get your precise meaning. Turning away from the reasons for happiness to the mystery of the feeling itself... Yesterday, I read the following sentence, by an author who excels in succintness, and she completely sums up my feelings about happiness: "...and Elizabeth [...] rather knew that she was happy than felt herself to be so." (From Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen) I often feel like this. I'm aware I'm going through a very happy period, but I don't really feel it. Happiness is hardly quantifiable and it is usually a sentiment that is rather felt after a certain period in your life than during it (namely, when your life is worse).
