RUNESCAPE BOOK OF RECORDS! - just a standard post this time
Iantiger replied to psycofishy's topic in General Discussion
Can we have a Lowest Combat Level wearing Dragon Armour? Because in 1 or 2 months I fully expect to own that title with Omegawrayth :D Muahahaha! -
my story about being scammed, but how did he do it!?!?!?!?!?
Iantiger replied to pingu2k4's topic in General Discussion
The only thing I can guess that happened is bug abuse on the part of the scammer. I really can't imagine how else all those crazy things would have happened which resulted in your death. It was partly your fault for going to Edge to make such a large trade. If somebody requests I make a trade, I make sure it's at least a 1 minute walk away from the wildy - Falador or Seers or Varrock, in fact almost anywhere but Edge  EDIT: Sorry about the double post - I removed it. ~Ian -
All rares will eventually rise again, it's just a question of how long that rise will take to happen. I think we should all way till Duke Freedom sees this, because nobody knows the rares market better than him. It seems all second-wave rares are dropping at the moment. I stocked up on Easter Eggs, buying 4 for around 3.7 mil each, hoping they would rise over Easter. I suddenly looked on the official forums the other day forgetting about my eggs, and noticed a lot of people buying and selling for 2~2.5 mil which is quite worrying... Halloweens rose at Halloween... Santas rose at Xmas, but Easters are now dropping at Easter. I'm sure it's nothing to worry about, probably something to do with the fact that the Easter event this year involved a different sort of Easter Egg, so people are having trouble selling because a lot of RS2 products don't yet realise the difference between our 'rare' easters and the ones given out during the event this year. Perhaps when they all melt in a few days we'll start to see some price increases. Back to halloween mask; I think if you wait until halloween you can be sure of the prices rising back to that high of ~50 mil for a set, if not surpassing that value. ~Ian

Yes, you also need to make sure you're cutting an uncut sapphire. I'm moving this to the Help and Advice board. ~Ian

Tip.It Times Presents: Pure Essence, Pure Disaster?
Iantiger replied to oddfaery2's topic in General Discussion
I disagree with you Anderz. I think that Jagex are very concerned with macroers. People who break their rules, and go unpunished can brag to their friends "Hey! Guess what I did in Runescape and I haven't been banned yet!". Eventually the problem will get out of control. I think that, although Jagex are there to make money, they are equally concerned about stopping as many people as they can who are breaking the rules, and I think this update was primarily designed to control that. However, I can see your point, but I think you're looking into this too much. More members and thus more profits may be something that Jagex looked at as a possibility of happening, but I seriously doubt it is the main reason they released the update. On Topic: A very good article. I am not particularly in favour of the idea of the monsters, or the mystery box/random event, but I endorse the idea of a skill total requirement. ~Ian -
Oddly enough, I've remained self sufficient for ages. Since I started Runescape, until the present day (around level 104) - I still prefer to get my own raw materials - fish my own fish, mine my own ore. I have no idea why I do it, I know that it's tediously slow, and I'm losing out on money over the time I spend doing this, but it's just a habit I've grown into. Occasionally I'll buy my own materials, but more often than not, I'm self-sufficient. I'd say Runecrafting is the one difference for me. For a very long time I've been buying my essence, because taking the time to craft it is missing out hugely - it's so cheap anyway - and crafting nats makes such a large profit it doesn't really bother me spending 10% of the profit on essence. ~Ian

Hehe yeah similar things happen to me. It's ironic that when you're a low level (lower than the person), they call you a newb, but when you're a high level (higher than them) you get called sad. There's no middle ground with these people... ~Ian

I've heard there's good money in merchanting magic logs. You can apparently buy for 1k and sell for 1.1k - that's a 10% profit which is pretty dam high compared to some of the profit margins you usually make with merchanting. ~Ian

Hmmm I saw him there too... I shut him in the pub garden  If so many people have seen him in the Burthorpe pub perhaps it's his uber top secret base where his plots to take over the world are planned  ~Ian

RuneScape firsts (and other classic moments)
Iantiger replied to ixfd64's topic in General Discussion
Ah so many old names! I actually traded with Snake Slava in Edgeville bank the other day! I wanted to buy a lot of prayer pots cheap (for merchanting purposes ;) ) but he wanted 7k each for them dam him! TKS was a LEGEND! I looked up to her as I was growing up in Runescape, and to Vampiriss who took her spot as number 1 fisher for a while. ~Ian -
It depends. As a young'un I was raised in Falador, but recently I've spent long periods at Port Phasmatys, Dagganoths, Dust Devils, and now the Monastery XD ~Ian

Hah, well they're only human after all  ~Ian

Woah I haven't seen that before  Sweet! ~Ian

Happy easter guys. I haven't had a chance to log on yet and check the ingame event. ~Ian

Prayer without a doubt - I mean even ectoing on P2P it takes a lot of money and patience to get enough bones! Smithing must also be in with a shout - it's just a goal everyone idolises - to be able to smith full rune is a dream which every Runescaper has had for 5 years now - kudos to those which have achieved it. ~Ian

Ardougne gets my vote ;) ~Ian

The same typo not only made in the title, but also 3 further times in the topic body? On topic: To noobs, I just ignore them or annoy them with my uber wit, and to newbs, I try to help them out, but sometimes their stupidity gets the better of me and I just run away or something else quite mean :( ~Ian

My grandad could beat Birmingham armed with nothing more than a pint of water and a shiny gold coin (don't ask). Joking aside, Birmingham are on the up, my tip to avoid the drop at the moment. ~Ian

I've got some friends who like it, but I personally don't see anything great about it. ~Ian

Maple Story.. any ex players or ones still playing can help?
Iantiger replied to FishRFriends's topic in Off-Topic
I played it and got to like the 2nd job? Then I found ROSE online and just forgot about it... didn't it become P2P like ROSE? ~Ian -
Has the link been confirmed as safe? ~Ian
