It's happened to me a couple of times. Usually it just happens once then it works fine, no need to restart my browser. I'm not sure what caused it, but its never affected me enough to try and find out. I'm using firefox 2 btw.

MS paint is fine for cropping bits ouy of a picture. Don't use a magic wand as you lose a lot of control over what gets selected, bits get left out etc. Just copy the area you want, and then go round it by hand removing the pixels you don't need in the pic. It's a lot more work granted, but you get a lot more control. If you don't cut corners your work will be better for it.

Definitly an improvement on your last grunge sigs. I can't say i know anything about the effect or the program you use for it so my CC is limited, but i think you should focus on her face more than her chest :P if you just move the character down a bit so her face fits more in the gap in the B/G it'll look better. also the Text kinda blends into the sig too much. Easily the best i've seen from you so far though. :thumbsup:

Dravenstormn: lets say we change the v in your name to a p.. Drapenstormn. now i'd find that pretty offensive. i only changed one letter. How many names in RS could you change one letter and find something vaguely offensive in it. the word 'fuken' isn't even offensive, you'd have to add a 'c' to actually make it a swear. And think about it, if you really have to try this hard to make a swearword out of it, chances are, you already know the swear.. rearranging and changing letters in peoples usernames is hardly going to teach children new swear words.

well, the demand for potions was largely from pking, so that's likely to affect it a lot. for example, i just bought 100 sup restores for 5k each, compared to the old price of 9k.

I can assure you, sara boss is one of the harder ones. Me and a friend (both 120cb) have duo'd all the bosses and sara was probably the hardest. At bandos we can manage 4-5 boss kills, zammy 5-7 and at sara we only lasted 1 1/2 kills.

It's just been moved and renamed a bit. Look between Bounty Hunter and Clan Wars ;) if you mean the graveyard of shadows, that was always there. It's where Carrelangar tele took you. The bone yard was like a bit pit full of big bone spawns and skeletons, probably the best place for f2p to train prayer. But yes, it's gone now.

you've got the basics of shading down quite well, and the dithering works quite well.. although you should define where your lightsource is coming from, right now it looks like the light's coming from the centre of the sword blade. Also, the perspective is a bit out.. the people in the background wouldn't fit through the doors in the castle as it is, and they're further back than the castle so they'd look like giants if they were standing on the same plain. def. some potential though. did you hand draw the lettering? it looks really good.

I don't really understand what all the 'stuff' is around the deer. Sorry, maybe it's because i'm tired, but to me it looks like a lot of modern abstract shapes on top of a nature scene. It looks like the tire from a truck with part of the rim at the top, an african mask or something at the bottom, and random abstract shapes to the left of the piece. Also the text seems to fade into the picture too much. Sorry for the harsh crit, but it doesn't really do anything for me.

i see no text in the top right :? As for the sig, it's cool. I love the detail and the colouring. It would maybe look better if the middle was darker, and maybe make the eyes 'glow' a bit more.

well, i left Rs and i know a lot of people on my list did. I'm still active on forums and IRC, but at the moment my channel has only me and one other person in it. usually around this time it would have about 20 people in. Tipit seems busy as ever thankfully, but time will tell as to how many people will stay.

I noticed this about the intervals at which i bought certain things too. I realised i could buy green bodies and nats together and alch for no loss.. the nats i bought as expected, sometimes a small wait, then i'd get them all at once. But with the bodies, usually i'd get nothing until i log on the next morning, where i'd find 100-200 bodies waiting for coillection. I find it hard to believe that the number of people buying them is always exactly divisable by ten (i buy in 1k's). I guess the GE could have a system where it shares out good in 100's then hangs on to surplus untli another 100 can be sold.. but the fact that it's such a closed doors system just fuels speculation.

Wow nearly missed this thread in the sea of others about the update. I've always been interested in the RS ecomony, it was always unique in the game world due to the size and complexity of it. The thing i find realy strange is the price floors of the GE. The fact that there is a floor to how low prices will go, and that items can't be sold for more than their shop price. As i've already noticed with dragon daggers.. they started out with a max price of around 33k, now it's 30k which is what the store sells for, leading me to believe that when an items player value falls below it's shop value it can never go back above it. The way runescapes free market worked would never allow prices to fall far below alch value anyway, people would notice this then buy items to alch, so to artificially inforce this seems a little over controlling. likewise with the upper caps on prices, the prices were never decided by how much jagex thinks it's worth, but the rarity, usefulness and how easy it was to obtain. i'm wondering what will happen with new items that come into the game.. will they automatically have they're specialist shop price put into the GE? Although Runescapes old economy was quite different to a real world ecomony, it's still possible to draw some comparison, i'm trying to think of a real world example of a goverment artificially controlling markets but i've drawn a blank on finding one that's actually worked/not resulted in civil war or massive sanctions :-k

that bit made me laugh, because it's so blatantly a big pack of lies. yes they are set by player trades, but only within the narrow range that the game allows. Also, it says it will never rise above a shops main stock price.. does this then include thing's like whip's, where the price doesn't reflect its shop value at all.. if the price drops below the shop value, will it then be capped from raising above it again? Examples would be a whip not able to rise above around 160k, dragonfire shields not able to raise above a couple million. i noticed earlier it was mentioned that dragon daggers aren't going above 30k in GE, although i'm not playing atm so i cant verify.. i remember when the GE came out dragon dagger's had a max price of around 33k, does this mean that since the max price fell below the cap, it can never go back over it? It looks like as well as these massive price drops we've seen, any kind of natural recovery is also being capped.

yes.. the bounty hunter game. except it's multi combat only and filled with big teams of 1-itemers.

to all flamers: how is his luck any different from someone posting a rare monster drop or boss kill reward? this whole game's based on luck. OT: good job.. i've only ever managed to pop 1 baloon. it was in a 5mil party and the loot was........ 14 bone bolts :o they were added to the 200k i already have in bank lol.

Yeah the wildy went out with a bang with that war huh? the level caps will mean either 3 seperate wars, or very limited participance.

IMO the bounty hunter game in no way makes up for the loss of pk anywhere. this is my experience of it today: Ok, so i enter the game on my own, in standard cheap tank gear (full rune, blk d hide etc) and bump into smellysocks and a couple other tifers. we team up and go hunting. I get an easy kill and the drop was a few shark and a superset.. i didnt need but a team mate did.. i drop a few shark and loot then go to trade: 'you cannot trade in this area' ok.. that kinda sucks, guess i'll just drop the superset and get my shark back: 'you cannot drop items worth over 1000gp in this area' for real? despite the fact that my items won't show up to anyone, i cant drop them. i have to spend time combining, emptying and dropping vials. a little later we get a nice full rune pk.. it was my kill, but of course i can't share the loot with my team mates (they helped a lot btw.. ty guys if you read this) i feel bad having to run off with everything. i then try to escape through the portal but i have a 'penalty against me' or something, meaning i have to stand there for 3 minutes on very little food and pray hoping i dont get attacked. of course.. another clan shows up and i get piled, and thanks to the 'penalty' i can't even protect 1 item. fun pk trip

Is this a serious suggestion? really? Well while we're at it, i say we start a petition to make the coca cola trademark and formula open for anyone to use, and make microsoft open the rights to the xbox 360, allowing anyone to use the technology, software and name. I don't really think you understand how business works.. the runescape game engine, name and everything associated with imagery, merchandising etc is copyrighted and trademarked so that Jagex and only Jagex can use it to make money. you cant steal copyrights with petitions :roll:

I think you hit the nail on the head with why im retiring. I loved runescape for the feeling of freedom, it felt more real than a regular game: if your buddy needs a tool or a weapon you could lend him yours. if you wanted the adrenalin rush of doing something incredibly risky.. staking a large amount, going pking in maxed bonuses, hitting a dangerous dungeon knowing that if you die you lose your stuff then you could go do it. With these updates the game feels so much more structured. 'If you want to do this activity, you have to do it this way' kind of mentality. These reasons, and the fact that my favourite things were boss killing and pking are the reasons i judt don't want to play anymore. I'm grateful for the memories and friends i have from this game, but i think it's time to move on.
