For the shield, an unholy (zamorak) book is actually the best for the shield slot. that gives about +12 attack. next best i think would be rune defender. Other than that it looks like you have the best set-up possible in you price range. Oh also, i wouldnt recommend void unless you plan to pk in it. me and a friend did a lot of testing and found it to be alsmot exactly the same exp per hour as normal d hide.

what about the price of the bars?

I collect strange fruit.. despite the fact that they're tradable i've never accepted them from friends. (was once offered 60 from a friend that knew i collected.. was painful to turn them down :P) I think only collecting the ones you get yourself makes the collection better.

The thing is, the one thing i really don't understand and that annoys me greatly: What's to stop the people that traded via the duel arena before, just going into the wild and have one person die to transfer the goods. In the wild it's even less controlled than the duel arena. Since tehy can track trades, logically it doesnt seem that hard to track duels too.. whereas its near impossible to track who loots a deathpile. Using the logic that Jagex used with this whole staking thing.. they should do the same for the wild. 'Only allowed 3k in items over the ditch' or something like that. (disclaimer: i'm not actually suggesting this.. its just logical that they should if they were serious with their motives behind the staking nerf.) I had a theory on why they might have stopped staking. I have no actuall evidence or anything and its purely speculative, but basically staking is just the same as gambling except with no age limit.. perhaps they were tryng to protect themselves from a lawsuit? :-k As qeltar has said, they're either being plain dumb, or deceptive.

That happened to me, i just kept killing them until they dropped it.. took about 15 kils.

I got to rank 13 before i called it a night, was around rank 30 when i logged on today :( Saw a lot of tipiters there too, gratz zot and mpg321 on getting high ranking early on. And gf sxq power :P i got lucky.

Good idea, after all.. there's 'spectator' NPC's in the sign up room, why should they have all the fun :P

indeed :P that was at the swiftswitch riots btw. i think the main reason things exploded today was how unexpected it was, coupled with the savage cut in staking amounts. To me, as a part time staker, leaving you able to stake 3k was like a kick in the face.. i'd rather not be able to stake anything at all. generally i dont think that people do demand perfection and a 100% approval rate of updates, there's always a few people that will rant, but that's unavoidable. The big updates that cause a big backlash imo are ones that really havnt worked. I will give credit to jagex for fixing most of them though. Pure ess: I dont think Jagex ever anticipated that macros would buy membership, but some simple maths on potential profits and losses of gold-farming companies could have given them an idea. Shame this update wasn't reversed but i guess the impact wasnt really seen for quite a while. Banning IRC/chat programs: This, at the time, seemed like a totally knee-jerk irrational reaction. the whole way the game is designed allows people to easily browse websites and use chat programs. luckily they changed the rules again. Assist system and primary skills: nothing more than a bit of short-sightedness i think here. For what ever reason they didn't think people would use it to beg, i guess they should have done but whatever.. it was fixed quickly. As for staking. Qeltar raised a few good points on the other threads about an alterior motive and wanting to stop staking altogether. whatever their reasons, the RWT excuse seems flimsy at best. theres so many other more effective ways they could do it.. regular trading or killing them in wildy for instance.

You and me both mate -.- i tried for over 2 hours to get a tourney started, we even got everyone there to get all their friends to the same world, and started a thread on RSOF to try and boost numbers to get a game going, but they all cancelled with 5-10 minutes left. Maybe it will be better when more people up rank, but i'm done with RS for today. Been quite a frustrating day. The thing is, they say this is to stop RL trades, yet rl traders can still trade between accounts via regular trading or by fighting in the wilderness. Does this mean that JaGeX will put a stop to these 2 activities too? Qeltar made a good post earlier.. either they're lying to us about the reason for the change, or they're showing how out of touch they are by destroying this great part of the game.

Agreed meili, i just got my perfect stats: 99 attack, 90 strength, 99 defense with 99 hitpoints, don't exactly easy stats to attain, and they leave me quite weak in pking, the only pvp my account is really good at was staking and they throw us this =D>

Btw , gf stakers, if your truly good at staking just win some tourny's instead of relying on the luck. tourneys you have to win 6 in a row, duels you have to win 1.

I'm usually the first to laugh at the amount of idiots that rant as soon as an update comes out, but this is actually a joke. I wonder what the actual percentage of people it is that rl trade through duel arena compared to legit stakers. I'm taking bets on it being under 0.5%, 3k max bet, pm me on rs :lol:

you need teak shelves 2. the ones that you use a gold leaf to build.

it's one for every farming 'cycle'. so every time herbs/allotments advance a stage a spine will regrow, which is about 20-30 mins.

lleyta, 2-3 trees and close to a bank. Hardly ever anyone there either.

V. nice combat stats, shame it's pced but each to their own i guess. how well did you do in arena with those stats? i'm 99,90,99 myself and do pretty good boxing, although 99 str still sometimes owns me.

Remember that PC monsters give half hp.. so its 2 range exp per damage done, or 1 range and 1 def exp if training on defensive/long fuse.

Two ways, both are more efficient, faster and MAKE money: 1. Ice troll cannoning. 2. Aviansies. aviensies arent actually good exp at all. they are only used because they have good drops i get the same exp per hour there as i do ranging bandits.
