  1. Pretty much 1k+ ish I had 745 charms with a 20 hood 60 bottom 60 top left over. The hood drained quicker or you had already used it for something else?
  2. I think rates were around 50-60k an hour. Have a look at zaaps1's guide in the AoW.
  3. I agree with you here. As a little mini-goal, I ranged 3k blue dragons at the enclaves for d bones and hides and got 75 prayer, 82 crafting, and 87 ranged out of it. I enjoyed the entire process. Sure it wasn't fast or the most efficient thing I could have done, but I actually quite liked the whole process. My next minigoal is 95 ranged at avies and using the bars on smithing  Also: Fixed.
  4. Welcome to the ex-P2P club  FoG: If you really feel it helps, bring along d hide and rune armour, but personally I entirely focus on offensive capabilities. When you're hunted, armour makes such a minuscule difference that it really only bogs you down when you try to run or hunt down a running hunted player. My setup is: Rune Scim Maple short on switch with steel arrows Power Ammy/Str ammy Monk Robes Runecrafter's Hat Rune Gauntlets Explorer Ring Prayer is the #1 life lengthening measure in this game, aside from total avoidance of attacks. However, at 75 I often find games ending much sooner than I can drain it with a protection prayer, rapid heal, and +15% defence, so I'm thinking of switching with d hide. I highly recommend switching styles throughout the fight against tough opponents. All xp in FoG is halved Spiders: Full rune Rune scimmy Power ammy Rune Gaunts Zerker shield or regular kite (recharge on zerker is cheap now, like 3 games) Bring an invent of trouts as they're dirt cheap and will be able to sustain you there for a stupidly long time anyway. Salmon if you're willing to spend a little more. The next step up would be salmon or tuna. You can train all melee styles here. Finally, Great Orb Project is a decent F2P moneymaker with talismans. You also get a minute amount of RC xp.
  5. The only reason you ever would want to cannonballs is to pay absolutely no attention to the game for 3 minutes at a time, but still get something done.
  6. I'm actually interested particularly in the number of charms obtained from 1 recharge. How many bursts/barrages can one get within the 6 hours with lures and all?
  7. Non-banking teaks is faster at any level. Ivy is definitely nice if you don't want to pay attention though.
  8. Well it was clear it benefited more, but I wasn't sure if that was enough to overcome the faster speed + poison (though I was pretty sure poison didn't matter much anyway outside long boss fights)
  9. Is it just clearly cut that the 2h is better? Does it benefit more from zerk or tactician?
  10. Well ever since the release of the rings and the clarification of the berserker effects, I'm sure it has been thrown up to debate plenty of times which weapon is better to bind now in light of the update. I've read lots of discussions on this topic already and it seems that if you purely ignore accuracy initially, the spear has a higher DPS. It also can be poisoned. However, it cannot take advantage of any ring bonuses. The 2H is slower, but has an almost comparable rate of DPS, again if you were to ignore accuracy for the time being. Using the berserker option, the DPS comes much closer. But of course to this point, we've ignored accuracy, which we've all come to know is incredibly vital in Daemonheim. Furthermore, there's the battleaxe. It's one-handed allowing tank (even though I think this ability is pretty much useless even at like max), zerk, tactician, has slash and crush, but most importantly is speed 5. So how can one factor in accuracy? I remember reading past threads about the CLS vs C rapier and how people determined that if X weapon hit Y% of the time, then one would be superior. How does that work exactly. Finally, would tank ranging in full rune with a sighted maple bow be viable at SoS spiders with only 40 defence?
  11. Replace knives with darts of the metal above and you've saved some money. (Exceptions are black darts and dragon darts of course)
  12. Cannonballs, churning butter/cheese wheels from milk, and cooking the skills I typically use for low attention training. The first two aren't that great for money or xp, but they take a long time to complete.
  13. Not to mention you hit harder with the cbow and its accuracy remains a consistent +90 (98 if you're using zammy book, which you should). However, you can get around the accuracy loss with the crystal bow with the double bow trick, but that requires a fair amount of attention.
  14. Talk to Hajedy near the spirit tree patch. He's near a cart. It's only 10 gp and takes you to pretty much beside the Shilo general store. And on the CT dragons, try a dragon halberd and spec whenever you can. Otherwise you should be able to max out your hits in single blows. Just pretty much find the hardest weapon you can find. Antifires should protect you from fire for the most part.
  15. Generally you just grow the most profitable herb regardless of what potions they are used in, sell the herbs, and then buy back the herbs of the potion that are most efficient. I had around 2k snaps stocked up and then when summoning potions were a ridiculously cheap 12 gp/xp, I cashed in and herbed up :)
  16. Which greens did you visit? If you bring a superhard hitting weapon like a GS, you can get in 50% of the damage, or at least majority if there's more than one person, on a dragon within 1 or two hits. This actually ends up being pretty darn quick. Just bring a superset and your best offensive gear. A lot of bots there are <100 cb so they only aid in your hunting
  17. I'd imagine buying ores, making bars, and then smithing bodies would give you a nice lot of smithing xp. Have a look at the xp rates per bar and pick the one that's the best balance between speed and gp/xp ratio.
  18. Yeah, that's what I'm doing. I'm trying to come up with ways to spend that money. At 61 Runecraft, I get back 76 coins for every 50 I spend. That means I can make 3 million coins per hour, and about 5k Runecraft XP. Is that 3 million including the time it takes you to buy the essence and sell the runes?
  19. Can you elaborate further on the uses of these styles please? Have a look at the Tip.it Bestiary, Runescape Wiki, or Runescoope Monster Guide and search specific monsters as you encounter them. Each of these guides generally provides a list of weakness. Use the appropriate style accordingly.

Perhaps I will then. The problem is I'm not sure how to run a clan and I don't know if I'll be able to find anyone to help me. I also don't have a ton of spare time. Still though, starting up a clan for this bracket would definitely seem to cater to a lot of people's needs.

Then go with friends instead of trying to find a clan...? I unfortunately don't have many friends, RL or not, who play RS. Those who do are on typically at weird times or might be doing something else like boss hunting. I only managed to team up with them on a few occasions out of pure luck and because they also had a few people wanting to dging. Finding an actual clan committed to dging seems like the best way to assure that I'll find people willing to dg.
  22. The RuneScoop Guide is a pretty good read. While I'm not sure how it changes for F2P, I suggest that you rush all of the "low" floors on complexity 1 until you get to the last 5-10 floors, meaning you skip dead ends and ignore certain monsters. For those after the "low floors", do medium and kill everything and open every door. Low floors can be considered everything below the top 5-10 floors. This of course depends on how many you've unlocked. The idea here is to get through as many of the low dungeons as you can as quickly as possible and then max out your xp on the deeper dungeons, as they naturally offer more xp.
  23. 41 dungeoneering 80 atk 76 str 82 def 87 ranged 89 mage 75 pray 75 summon Other somewhat useful skills are 73 herb and 68 rc. It's been terribly difficult to find people to consistently dungeon with. My levels aren't stellar, but I think I've got the grasp of the skill. I've read A LOT of guides on the skill and I think I have a good idea of how things work. If required, I'm willing to solo myself a bit more to get some more floors unlocked.
  24. Sinkhan replied to Sly_Wizard's topic in Rants
I feel like this is a pretty reasonable rant. I'm "only" 110 CB, but for the day or two I tried to get back into dungeoneering, it was near impossible to find a decent team. It either consisted of people who didn't know what they were doing or teams only looking for 120+ and at least 70 dg, which I only have 41 in right now. I was powerless to do much at the time so right now I'm scouring the forums for a decent clan or team willing to take on members at my level. It seems like the age old catch-22; you can get a job without much experience and you can't get much experience without a job. Until I find a group willing to take me in, I'm going to have to nearly max out all of my CB skills and solo a lot of dungeons. It sucks, but it that's the way it is  I don't mind soloing dungeons, but the one or two times I went with friends it was super fun. Can't argue with the xp either.
  25. The official FAQ just came out and it's bad news for spear users: Source
