No, prices go up if demand is higher than supply, not if supply is low. If there isn't much of an item, but no one wants it, why would prices rise? In the same manner, prices don't go up if supply is relatively high, but if there is a surplus. It drops to try and reach equilibrium. Geez, if you're going to patronize him about proclaiming himself an expert on economics just because he understands supply and demand, at least do it right. Well, then I'm sorry that you and half this goody two-shoo forum have fallen into the nerd mindset of pathetically dichotomously placing alcohol and sex into the "bad" category, while stuff like playing Runescape is in the "good" category. Wanna know something funny? Ghandi drank a ton as a kid. Ghandi smoked a lot as a kid. Hell, he was one of the most disobedient SOB's a parent could have, and that was in frikkin' India. But hey, you guys are right, he drank and smoked, and turned out to have a sucky life and be a burden on everyone. If addicted to those substances, yes, they can be problematic. But in moderation, they can be great for experiencing life. Me, even as a teenager I'm more of a fan of wine than beer, but I've got no problem with a buddy cracking open a beer and relaxing for a bit. Sex with a long time girlfriend? Whatever, just use protection, sex is chemically known to increase metaphysical bonds anyways, so more power to ya. The same goes for Runescape. In moderation, it's fine, it's great relaxation. Problem is, you guys are comparing being addicted to something to doing something else in moderation. You're trying to justify your addictions by saying that someone having a drink at a party is a bad person, or at least does a bad thing. Drinking alcohol is not a bad thing. Alcohol is not a bad thing. Seriously, this is such a frikkin' stereotypical puerile introvert mindset- listening to everything mommy tells you and don't even think about it for a second, making the other person the bad guy so you can be classified as the good. Hell, a few beers would be good for you guys. Grow up, get out of your frikkin' dark corners and experience the world for crying out loud, it'll do you a bit of good. If you think you have an addiction, do what you can to get rid of it. If you don't, then don't feel a need to justify your fun when there are are no points available to be utilized for justification. You referenced only one meager attack done by the Japanese, while either referencing every single attack on Japan, or pulling a stupid and thinking that the two bombs actually killed millions. :-s You also appear to think that the bombing was solely retaliation. It was not. It was a last ditch effort by the US to stop the Japanese and their complete, barbaric domination of Eastern and Southern Asia. This isn't an "eye for an eye" (which, risibly, you appear to be supporting), this is "let's end this as fast as possible". Get your facts straight. And to get to the actual core of your "argument", go look up what the Japanese did during that time period, instead of just referencing Pearl Harbor off the top of your head. Don't even think you can compare the methods the US used to get Japan to surrender to what they did to our soldiers and the people of East Asia. They had to be stopped, one way or another, the debate here is how. I believe that the bombing was the best way to cause the Japanese to surrender with the least number of human casualties, while others argue otherwise. You on the other hand, are arguing that the bombs weren't used for the purpose of ending war, but for total and utter revenge. Phail. "Fat?" :-s . You're nowhere close dude. In fact, that's about, if not the, perfect weight for your height. I'm over 140 at about 5'7", and my body/bone structure isn't broad at all. At 5'9", if you were less than 155 pounds, I think I'd actually start getting worried about the effects of being underweight. Ambassador, the BMI isn't perfect, yes. It can't account for broadness of bone structure, nor quantity of muscle mass, so with the muscle you say you have the "overweight" technicality just comes from all the muscle :P . But against your point, it's not that it doesn't account for athletic people, it's that it doesn't account for people who gain significant quantities of muscle mass. I.e., it'd still work for a cross country runner, even if it isn't as useful for a linebacker :P .
