  1. I've seen a couple, but honestly, the microhelper is the best one. It has the friendliest user interface and easiest way to search for items, monsters, etc.
  2. Taking the RuneScape banner as your sig... not very creative, but I still love the picture! 7/10
  3. Unfortunately, that's what the current population is like in RuneScape. Immature, inconsiderate, unkind, selfish, lazy idiots. Pity about your items. I suppose the noob in question did not even repair your gravestone when you died, therefore making it impossible to get items back? :wall:
  4. I actually made a rant about how horrible that game is messed up. Check it out here... Those are just my thoughts on the matter. Jagex definitely NEEDS to fix the GOP. I don't know why they have let it go on for so long. #-o Personally, I don't see why that constitutes as bug abuse, though. Bug abuse is using the bug to gain an unfair advantage over other players, which you're not getting; if anything, it should be the team that wins the mind altar that gets reported for bug abuse!
  5. In my opinion, you don't have to list all these things. Just put down one: 1. Playing the game using features within the game does not make me a noob, it just means you don't know how to play as well as I do.
  6. I still think I'm right. I will admit, GOP does give very good incentive to raise RC. As a matter of fact, I myself would not have raised my runecrafting to 50 had GOP not existed. But just because it "gives motivation" does not mean that the game has to be horribly executed. As a metaphorical example: If a student wants to get a good grade in a class (play GOP), he has to study for the test (level up Runecrafting). However, that kid can study for three days straight; if the test is poorly written, questions are worded vaguely, instructions are not clear (flaws in GOP) the student is not going to get a good grade. Therefore, my reasoning stands that the test, or GOP, needs to be fixed, rather than saying, "Oh, well, the students wanted a good grade, so they studied for the test. It's really the studying that counts."
  7. I really hate to make a rant. As a matter of fact, this is my first rant - ever. But this is just something I cannot get over: The Great Orb Project minigame is THE WORST GAME EVER. The controls suck, it's got tons of bugs, and any and every lvl 50 runecrafting noob is allowed to play. I'll start with my first point: Controls. I normally don't mind playing any game, even boring ones, but if the controls stink, I get exponentially angrier the longer I play. When I try to attract an orb, I have to make sure it's on a perfectly straight path, otherwise it will get stuck. And repelling? If I stand directly behind it, it will move off to the side. Controls that hard to understand and manipulate need to be adjusted. Second point: the bugs. I've lost rounds to the other team because randomly, for whatever reason, my team will be unable to move the orbs at all, for a whole round. I've been left out a round because suddenly my feet stick to the floor like glue, and I can't advance to the next altar. I've even had the experience where we were collecting the most orbs, but the tally was not being marked for us. I mean, come on. How long has this game been out? And they still don't have things fixed? #-o And now my final point: The noobs who play. No, I'm not talking about those people who have never played before and are not familiar with the controls, though those are somewhat annoying too (if they're on my team ). I'm talking about those pathetic people who waltz through the game, doing absolutely nothing. They will literally stand at the edge of the field and wait until they get rune ess, then craft them. In addition to the rc experience, they also get any tokens we happen to win. And then they get to do it all again! Wow, free exp, free rewards, no effort? Sign me up! -.- Again, if it weren't for the majorly obvious flaws in this game, I wouldn't be posting. But there are nowhere near as many bugs and glitches in other minigames as far as I can tell - why should GOP be the one that's filled with stupid problems?
  8. Great updates, even for f2p! The only bad thing is that it's very likely that Jagex now realizess that Falador has been giving free haircuts for over a year now. :P
  9. It just so happens that I am a particularly skinny person, and I love to play RS. Maybe I'm fat psychologically? :?
  10. *sigh* I kind of suspected as much. Let me guess; members have tons of ways to do it, right? Ah, well. I guess I'l do RCing. I want those cool robes from the minigame anyway. I need to find a way to Target so I can get those pre-paid cards! I'm willing to pay, just not able because of my parents! Someday... someday...
  11. Okay, I just got my first million coins today, and I've decided to celebrate. I want to spend it all on skills, but be able to earn it back by selling the products I've made. (Getting a little extra profit wouldn't be too bad, either... :P) Is there any way (in F2P) to do this? Oh, and the only skills I do not want to level up are Firemaking, Woodcutting, Ranged, and Defense.
  12. Well, I guess it's my personal preference, then. I like getting some money making drops while I'm training. Although that would explain why it's taking so long to level up... #-o
  13. Although, my favorite training is the cockroach soldiers (tough for me, only lvl 67, but you should be ok) or if you'd rather save food the cockroach workers. In addition to being pretty good xp, they drop pretty good stuff and are usually pretty empty.
  14. He was probablytrying to click someone else in the chat box and muted you by accident. It happens, but I feel bad for you. That's gotta stink.
  15. When they do come out with mechscape, a lot of younger kids will follow. And frankly, I'll be happy, because then Runescape will be less filled with annoying "0mg ur liek, s0 c00l can i has phr33 st00f pl0x" If you couldn't tell, I like medieval-like settings better than sci-fi. Of course, I will naturally try Mechscape, so I at least know what I'm missing. :
  16. Actually, "newb" refers to a new player. "Noob" is supposed to be... well, insulting, I guess, but it's not really.
  17. Ok, so basically, I've narrowed down the list of all people on this thread who are actually somewhat ethical and admit that stealing is wrong: psvstef aharonsafe Killerred005 joker2022 lordkafei laura0077 diib Fairness Thank you to all of these people! At least I'm not alone. I will absolutely and totally agree that the pmod was overzealous and he did not need to report anything. I also realize that if the accused thief actually did steal bandwidth like he claims, then it is very unlikely that Jagex will do anything about any report. The one and only point I want to get across: using a neighbor's internet is stealing, and stealing is wrong.
  18. No, no, no! You people are looking at this the wrong way! Yes, the guy with the wallet was an idiot, the guy without wireless internet protection was dumb. That still does not mean the wallet or internet is free to take! Despite what I believe about Darwin's law, it is illegal to take advantage of stupid people! Okay, fine, maybe the pmod was a little overzealous. Can we at least agree that if in fact the guy was telling the truth and he was stealing internet connectivity, it was not the right thing to do?
  19. The question here is not whether the mod is supposed to report based on rules, but if he should report based on ethical standards. Which, IMO, he should.
  20. I did read his post carefully, including the part where he quoted me: Way to sound smart, there, lcchs.
  21. If you take her purse, of course it's illegal if she is connected to the internet. What does that have to do with anything? :D From I think you're saying, you mean the wireless connection from in the park? First, I'd say that would probably be a public access point anyway, something the city put there for convenience. That's totally legal. If you mean it's a private network, that is unprotected, then yes, I would frown on that. But like you said, there are gray areas for many laws; this would definitely fall in that area. If she's in the park, she may not realize that she's connecting to a private network.
  22. TBH, I'm really disappointed at how unethical many of the members of Tip.It has become. A couple years ago, almost everyone would have said, yeah, great, go PMod! Get that thief banned! Now everyone could care less. Yes, it is a petty crime, not really worth mentioning. Does that really mean everyone should do it, that no one should care? Stealing is stealing, whether you steal gum from a candy stand, internet usage from a neighbor, or money from a bank. Also, just because the person does not PROTECT their internet does not mean it is yours to take. If a lady sits down to eat lunch at a cafe and leaves her purse on the back of her chair, it is still ILLEGAL to take it. EDIT: I see a number of more ethical people are starting to post here. Thank you! At least not everyone is morally corrupt. =D>
  23. Oh, I see. So, if I waited for a bit, and then made another character, I'd get the cooler, newer tutorial? I hope so. The old one was not particularly enthralling.
  24. So I recently made a new character just for kicks. I understood that Tutorial Island is now a thing of the past, and instead, you go through the tutorial by killing a dragon with a White knight in Lumbridge, or something like that. When I logged in for the first time, though, I found myself on the one and only Tutorial Island, with no dragons anywhere to be found! It was the exact same tutorial that I had done three years ago when I started RS for the first time. Why is this happening? Did Jagex get rid of the new tutorial already? Anyway, on a more interesting note: I noticed the combat tutor, Vannaka, is combat level 146. I also remember from back in the day, he was 146 when I made my first account, and that was long before the release of Summoning, which is the only way players can get their combat level above 120. Could this mean that the secrets of Summoning have been known long before the rest of RuneScape found out? EDIT: Apparently Vannaka is also a Slayer Master. (Yeah, I didn't know that, I'm F2P, so sue me. -.- )
  25. what about the one that's in lumbridge? specifically where is it? I can't seem to find it... :x Ah, geez, never mind. You guys are so slow... XP
