More Whiners? Mage Training Shop Prices Fall
All_Bogs replied to SilentDragonfly's topic in General Discussion
I think it makes sense that boots cost less than the robe top now. Also, I think Jagex seems to have underestimated the amount of effort that goes into getting the items and has dropped the prices a little because of that. It's not like the real top of the line items are 10x easier to get; the top and bottom still require a fair amount of points to obtain (bottom more than top for some reason), and the mage book still costs a ton of points as well. It's merely the minor items such as boots that've seen a bigger decrease. That, and it's still a mind-numbing amount of telekinese games that needs to be done. -
Good point, it's not like a single healer attacking you will kill you anyway :P

I've seen some weird names around RS; none of these are actually mine though :P Examples would be Voose Lagina, Erorr, Zezima Fu (o.O), Rhinohumper (O.o), I Love Pinus and Pindle Bot (Diablo 2 players should fine that one amusing). Oh, and some guy called Ineedstuff
-
Well, the gold mine's awesome, and the clothing's...well, unique. The place sees some use at least :P
-
It's mildly amusing that some bots are set to auto-logout as soon as a Mod nearby talks :P it makes it kinda obvious who to report if you write down their names in advance. Which is, basically 95% of the level 3's, and 100% on P2P. And, I might add, 100% of level 3's walking around in the standard Bald with Ugly Clothing outfit. Also, I've noticed that a lot of silent low level skillers wear a wooden shield, on F2P at least. Those are easily picked out as well. I guess the Gnomeball makes for another easy sign. As for reporting them, don't hesitate, if they aren't autoing, then they'll be fine regardless of how many people report them, especially in these times, were Jagex is flooded with Macroing reports.

Quit, unless stats would be carried over. In that case, I'd mine like hell 8)

Tip.It Needs your help - New mage training area items!
All_Bogs replied to bambino's topic in General Discussion
I think the stuff between ""s is the examine of the item. And I can confirm that the Apprentice Wand's examine is correct, with the spelling mistake and all :P -

Beginner's and Apprentice's don't seem to replace any runes. And Peronix, there's a "Value" option, y'know :P -

Beginner: +5 Magic Attack / Defense, +0 to the others. No special effects as far as I can tell. Apprentice: +10 Magic Attack / Defense, +0 to others. No special effects as far as I can tell. Judging by the trading posts all over RS forums, I'd say they are tradeable. Both Wands autocast the same spells as your everyday staff, that is to say, the 16 Elemental Spells. Upgrading to Apprentice Wand replaces your Beginner's Wand. The price, I don't know the Beginner Wand price. A general shop will give a whopping 600 coins for an Apprentice Wand. -
Goodbye Everyone! (Plus a warning!!) [EDIT] Ban shortened!
All_Bogs replied to demonfirzen's topic in General Discussion
Did they give the Tip.It part as snapshot evidence, too? If so, that's ridicilous, since it's mentioned as a "safe site" to Pmods.. -
It takes 60 Cosmics iirc, not to mention other runes, to purchase one (1) Cosmic Rune. Awesome, isn't it?
-
Sure, there's Barrows, but I wouldn't mind having more things to choose from, aside from that. So any high level update is welcome to me :) Fishy.

Like Hotho said, converting legs to skirts would be good if it was still around. But I don't think we'll be seeing it now, thanks to the Dragon Legs and Skirt price difference, as well as having tons of different leg armors now. Another thing is the fact that you can "use" items which players now, which is as far as I know completely useless, and gets in the way often with cooking and such. Also, I don't like the fact that powerful weapons are almost useless in RS2 due to being slow. Frankly, a Bronze Dagger outperforms a Steel Warhammer, that can't be right.

First of all, it's not my friend, if I search for "Age Limit", I could care less about a topic named "Level 71 looking for clan". Second, the other topic I found is kinda locked, so it's hard to continue discussion there. And as for the topic itself, I don't know what they're planning to achieve with this, but hopefully it has something to do with making the chatfilter not quite as strict.

Then no sane person would be able to collect them all. I mean, no one can stand doing the same Telekinese puzzles about a 100 times each  So no :P

stats of the mage training arena equipment! (WIP)
All_Bogs replied to gunshafted's topic in General Discussion
Apprentice Wand; +10 Magic Attack & Def; +99 blah. -
The most boring thing in the universe made more boring. Must be Jagex
-
In ideas on how to make the Telekinese game somewhat entertaining? To be honest, I can't see what Jagex was thinking. You need to do 100's of these games to collect all items, yet there's only a handful of mazes, which are mind-numbingly easy, and require a pointlessly large amount of time and running  Not to mention the xp is crap.

What quest (easy or hard) has the best reward?
All_Bogs replied to Retefael's topic in General Discussion
Tears of Guthix. That 4 to 6k xp a week really adds up in the end. I know that without it my farming wouldn't have been quite as high. Desert Treasure's a good contender, too, as is Family Crest. -

All_Bogs replied to gunshafted's topic in General Discussion
Jagex sensed it too; Enchant xp has supposedly been decreased to 73xp for a level 6 spell, and 68xp for a level 5 one. -
I can't even recall the last time I've misspelled my username. I'd guess I missed the double L a couple of times though.

A website redesign, where you'd login on the main page once, and get access to forums, all "login required features", and playing the game itself, ofcourse. Also, I'd like some local storage where things are stored such as your last attack mode, run/walk state, music settings, the way worlds are ordered (I order them in ascending numerical order, not that wacky standard order). And as for actual in-game things; to be honest I can't really thing of anything. Well, maybe adding a side-specific altar to CW's so I don't have to keep dieing to recharge, as well as giving the defending side a small advantage over the attackers, because as it is, defensive advantages are hardly existant.

Cannons: Saradomin: [bleep]ed balls which hit more often? Why the hell would [bleep]es increase their accuracy? :?: It's not like cannons miss a lot as they are right now, anyway. Guthix: so uh, take the fastest ranged training device in the game and triple it's power? Naaaah. Zamorak: how the bloody hell do you apply poison to cannonballs? Plus, compared to the others, this one is so bad no one would use it. Mange Bow: I like the idea of charged arrows. I don't like the idea of extreme damage on a bow. Double Spear: I kinda like the idea behind it, it'd look pretty cool. It'd be a fast 2-handed weapon, expanding the two handed weapon range with something that's remotely useful besides the powerfull but slow R2H. Monk's Staff: Well, making it as strong as other weapons but with an added prayer bonus would obviously make other weapons obsolete. However, making it weaker than existing weaponry would have people not touching this weapon at all. It falls in a bit of a void, although I like the idea of having something in the weapon slot with a decent prayer bonus.

Mythical's Oldskool RSC picture thread (lots of classic pics
All_Bogs replied to a topic in General Discussion
Har har, Damage Inc numba 113@@@ Nice pictures. I recognize some names, others I don't. While I was playing at the time, I wasn't really hardcore into the game, and apart from the occasional post on the tipit boards (and earlier, the first version of the official boards) I wasn't really into the community, either. Regretably, I only have few RSC pictures, all of which are taken after summer 2002 which is when I bought my current computer, and as it is, there's nothing really special in it. As for you m0dus, the url tags won't work because the image has a dynamic address (the my.php? part). It is possible to directly link to imageshack by using the "hotlink for forums" line which you get after uploading, like I do here. After the release of the Legend's Quest, a mithril gate mysteriously popped up in the Barbarian Agility course.
