  1.  No way... I cant imagine that people do those things. #-o That actually also happened to an ex-coworker of mine that I still keep in contact with. She had put a customer in a fitting room, walked away for about 5 minutes and then headed back to check to see how she was doing. As she was getting closer and closer to the fitting room, she kept thinking, wow... what is this awful smell? When she got to the fitting rooms, she saw that the customer had already left, but when she looked in the room where the customer was, there was diarrhea all over the fitting room. :-X She said she nearly vomited seeing that... I hope I never have to see that in my store. LOL, must be some secret cult we haven't heard about. Those sneaky poopers get around ;)
  2. I've worked in retail for five years, and man have I got some stories to tell. I'm a manager for a large mobile phone retailer :) About four years ago, I had a customer acting a little oddly near the dummy wall. He was just standing at the same spot for ages then started sort of gently shaking his legs (as though he was dancing to music only here could hear). After a minute or so, he moved on out of the store, leaving behind on the floor what at my distance looked like a mars bar. On closer inspection I found it was actually a fresh poop.... now that's messed up. A while back one of my collegues Brian, crossed the shop floor to speak to a scabby looking guy. Just before he reached him the guy pulled out a knife and slashed at him. It completely missed and Brian legged it back behind the counter to hit the panic alarm. As he did so the guy was reaching over the counter trying to figure out how to open one of the tills. I came out from behind the store room door and shouted that the police were coming. In response to this, he looked about frantically clearly looking for something to make his effort worthwhile. Seeing nothing, he quickly settled for the customer care phone on the wall, grabbed the receiver and sliced the twisty cable. Amazingly he held the phone towards us, laughed, then ran from the store. Guy was clearly a maniac. Lastly, I had a bloke a few months ago who came in to pick up a handset that we'd repaired for him. Happy with getting his phone back, he left without incident. Then about an hour later he came back into the store, dumped his phone on the counter and started a ranting. His phone was now completely wrecked. The screen was smashed up, and the flip was broken off and hanging by the flex cable. Clearly it had been dropped down a set of stairs or something. Anyway, amazingly this guy accused us of doing this to his phone before we handed it back. I knew we hadn't since we always show the phone out and working before taking payment, but this guy just wouldn't let go. After much shouting he eventually left saying that he'd call his lawyers, report us to the papers etc... Now the crazy bit happened. About two hours later the police came into the store and asked to speak to the manager (me at the time). To my amazment, the guy had reported us to the police and now they were following it up. There's no point getting into any more detail, but the fact that the guy had paid for the work and some other factors meant the police abandoned it quickly, but it was embarrassing and infuriating. LOL, I've got more, but I've written enough.
  3. LOL, so you finally got your wish. Now... is eight new spaces enough? I recon not.
  4. I presume it's still either Shilo Village or Barbarian fishing, although neither are very profitable. Even at 99, I'm told fishing monkfish is best as sharks are still very slow.
  5. According to the results this far, 19% of the gamers will quit immediately. I'm going to keep an eye on the RS main page to see if there's a true drop in the number of players compared to last week. I said in another post that people who are displeased are more likely to express their annoyance than those who are happy with the changes or merely have no opinion. So it's truly difficult to gague just how many people will actually quit immediately at the moment.
  6. I think the majority of changes made today are fantastic and will benefit the game in the long run. Yes, quite a few of the changes need to be tweaked, and those will likely become a reality in the short term. In the meantime, I'm delighted that sweatshops the world over have just woken up to find themselves out of business hahaha
  7. Yup, definately agree that it's time to remove that pesky ditch ;)
  8. That's a fantastic article written at short notice. I'm pleased to read that it's balanced, and considers both parties (those who like the changes and those who don't) It's true that no matter what changes Jagex make, however minor, people will moan. I mean the Rants forum on RSOF has 15 times as many posts as the Compliments forum (even before today's update). Clearly people are more likely to express displeasure than they are to express their gratitude. I think that when the dust settles on this one, most will look back and be thankful for the changes. The minority, and I truly mean the minority, will have left the game or will have accepted the changes and carried on. Either way, we just need to weather the usual storms.
  9. PC is apparently pretty awful experience since the last update that splits levels into various boats. So yeah, Bandits is probably faster exp for you.
  10. You also need a witches necklace thingy from a slayer master to enter. Most important thing to bring is a light source of course. They attack with a mix of mage and melee, so dragonhide mix is best, or just wear full guthans. There's also a couple of safe spots for range. The black mask drop rate is something like 1:600 in my experience.

Mushrooms protect something, either mages or palms (i think). Yer, I think it's a bush though :)
  12. Do you work for Jagex? No. Then you can't possibly backup your first two points. Second, eggs have been confirmed as useful for summoning and of course you can collect them... how else have I managed to save 99 so far? Read the other posts about trading speculation.
  13. Yeah, I used to be able to offset the money invested in the kingdom by selling the maple logs collected (whilst keeping the bird nests). I'm still doing it since the nests are worth a lot and this is the only really fast way of collecting them. But it's definately becoming less appealing.
  14. Popular activity New way of performing activity What's changed exactly? It's better than ever now. Spam?
  15. Jagex deserve a lot of respect and kudos for tackling such a difficult problem as Real World Trading. They've done a tremendous job and it's great to read the full explanation behind their thinking. I can't think of a single other game that has gone this far to stop cheaters. That pretty much sums it all up. Well done Jagex! \
  16. Been suggested many times before. Not a bad idea or anything, but I think that Jagex are probably already working on it, or have put the idea on hold for now. Either way, there's potential for abuse (fake scams), spamming and server slow down. These are things Jagex would need to consider when developing a messaging system In the meantime, my true in-game friends have my actual email address and we keep in touch that way lol.
  17. Yeah, that'll happen soon I guess. Perhaps just the one pin that unlocks both your bank and the exchange (don't want too many pins to memorise)
  18. I truthfully hope it's something they never implement. I enjoy that fact that real life status has little bearing on your character in game.
  19. Dunno about the rune thing, but they've already confirmed that bird eggs will be useful, and I'm sure most of us have a least a few of those in the bank. I myself have 99 lol.
  20. Yer, but make sure it's only the Elves at the Lletya, as the other ones don't drop them. You can collect as many as you want and enchant them all.

Cactus is great for spines for yew tree payments. Mushrooms.... rubbish, but can be used to make food Beladona, for herblore I suppose Calquat for exp.... sometimes (assuming it doesn't die) Spirit trees, which are awesome. Nice to have a selection of new teleport locations.
  22. Yes well we now know for CERTAIN that eggs will have a use in Summoning. So that at least is one item that's worth collecting. Well done to everyone who suggested before the most recent diary release
  23. The only other forum that I use that's related to Runescape are the official forums. Compared to TipIt, they're very oppressive. Everyone thinks they're a mod' and the censor is very touchy. I find it so strict that I only ever used it for trading. Since the GE was released, I haven't used the forums once. I guess that might have been Jagex intention all along.... to reduce server traffic? Anyway, TipIt is awesome lol...
