  1. I think a lvl 99 achievement certainly deserves something more spectacular than sparkles. Dunno if you're ideas are the best, but definately agree with the concept :)
  2. I'm level 84 now, and personally, I never bothered with salamanders. I found the trap setups too tedious. Instead I spent most of my time from about lvl 60-70 on falconry. I managed about 35k per hour on spotted kebbits, 40k later on dark kebbits, then finally about 45k per hour on darks/dashing kebbits. Dunno if this is faster than salamanders, but maybe give you something to try out to break up the boredom ;) p.s. I've been using red chinchompas since level 70 and caught an average of 150 per hour. I now catch double that amount at lvl 84
  3. I'm finding it very difficult to sell stuff on the GE now. I leave stuff there (at the lowest possible price), then log out. The following day nothing has sold. I find that upon examination that most of the prices have dropped again, leaving my own items overpriced, therefore not selling. I wish you could customise your own lowest price rather than what Jagex set for you.
  4. To bad it won the award for best national song.. :-k Source? Personally, I don't think you can win with this one. Just get her a proper gift, don't skimp out on some wishy washy stuff for someone you've dated for only 2 months. And that's before we even get on to your song of choice, ooooh boy. Trust me I'm no cheap guy, I was raised to treat a girl better than that. I think gifts like this are fantastic. I mean, anyone can stroll into a store and pick up a gift, or buy a voucher. Writing then having the guts to perform a song shows that you put a lot of effort in and really care about the person it's for. Just to be safe though, I'd buy her a little something too ;)
  5. I'm delighted with the result between Celtic and Shaktar Donestk on Wednesday :) My throat is still sore from shouting and singing lol. We just need a point to guarantee qualification (and maybe not even that depending on other results). Great result for Liverpool too, and an awesome comeback by Tottenham. Chelsea were amazing to watch against Rosenborg. Disappointed by Arsenal though.... I don't think they showed that team enough respect and deserved to lose.
  6. I haven't thought about it yet. Jagex said in a recent statement to the BBC, that Runescape would be the company's primary focus for the next five years (despite releasing other games). I guess I'll go play other games whenever this happens.
  7. It's just left over coding from class definations that can't be removed with removing other more important uses for other stuff. The same effect can be seen with "Pick up cat", even though it's not yours. I think the effort required to edit the class and redefine where appropriate would be a massive task and jsut isn't worth the effort.
  8. Witch hunt??? It's hardly a witch hunt. Witch hunting was all about killing people who were believed to be something that doesnt' exist... Real World Traders DEFINATELY exist. This isn't a witch hunt... it's a purge! Exactly what the vast majority of fair rule abiding players want. You mention that Diablo 2 was ruined by item duplication and character manipulation... while that's true, the only reason it got completely out of control was because the game engine was designed to allow a large amount of manipulation.... Runescape has not been designed this way. Besides, the problem with Runescape isn't character manipulation or item duplication, it's real world traders. A different issue completely. Jagex are losing the battle to stop them from creating accounts. Clearly it's very difficult to stop macroers and gold farmers from doing so (other than tracking payment methods and IPs, which can be worked around anyway). So the best way to beat them is to stop them from effectively transferring the money in the game, which Jagex are now doing a fantastic job of stopping. Large unbalanced trades are easily spotted, so RLTs find other ways including Wildy Deaths, Duelling, Party Rooms etc... Jagex is simply and systematically removing these means through what the majority of us consider to be valid and intelligent means. I'm delighted by the recent updates and hope the PURGE continues. If they make life difficult enough for RLTs, then perhaps they'll leave and attempt to ruin other games instead.
  9. I agree with most others that say it should be left alone. It's fine the way it is. If it takes over an hour to regenerate your prayer, what's the point. Might as well visit an altar for all the effort it takes.
  10. I think this is a genious update.... and yet another blow to real world traders. Well done Jagex. :)
  11. Mutter - Rammstein
  12. Long Road To Ruin - Foo Fighters
  13. Yup, definately Burnthrope. If you absolutely insist, head for the small pond at the north-east tip of the wall. On the north-east and south-east sides of this pond, there's 4 spawns total which will keep you at a good pace. I recommend dragonhide armour (as they hit with mage and melee), and whatever food you can manage. They're only 45 slaying exp per kill, which is why I ignored them. But their drops are ok, with noted teak logs, nats and the odd herb. Cannon is a waste of money against such low exp' monsters, plus I think it might shoot at the random snakes from time to time.
  14. Farming - plant trees (and pay farmers) Construction - if you have no cash, you may need to use limestone (mined) Firemaking - coordinate with woodcutting. just burn whatever you cut Theiving - cake stall in Ardy (15k-20k exp per hour) Cooking - coordniate with fishing... just cook whatever you catch Herblore - buy or grow guams. cheap and easy 2nds to acquire
  15. The only glitch I've noticed is that I can't seem to create a black mystic set... there's no option for it strangely (just the regular blue mystic set)
  16. Rune boots - 81k (and I still can't sell them lol) Rune Xbow - 29k Rings of Forging - 2.7k G Maul - 90k Black Mystic Top - 151k Rune arrows - 380ea (I used to sell at 300) Steel arrows - 32ea (but I still can't sell at this lowest price)
  17. Disappointed with that, but can you blame him. He won't have a competitive match to manage for nine months. Maybe he's figured he'll quit while he's ahead lol. Don't want to sound too cocky, but I expect either Celtic or Rangers to win that cup most years.. assuming they take it seriously (since our fixture lists is already pretty full)
  18. A Thing Called Love - The Darkness
  19. I've had a few MoM, but no sandwich ladies thankfully. It's a bit of a nightmare, as the are is so crowded that you can't actually see the randoms. Wonder how many people have been posioned by the plant so far lol...
  20. Great finds :) I truly hope there's an eventual use for the bird eggs... I've got over 100 saved now and they're just wasting space.
  21. I can't seem to make a dark mystic set for sale. I have all five parts and enough to make three sets, yet the Black/red set isn't available on the Sets List. Mystic is available, but it doesn't seem to apply to the dark set. Anyone else noticed this?
  22. Man, it was over 6 years ago my first death, but I still remember it quite clearly as I lost everything lol. (it was before banks were released). I died at the hands of a lowly goblin... think I lost about 50k in cash which is a splash in the ocean now, but back then I was wiped out lol.
  23. Yup, construction room is a winner. And if you don't have the level to make the stuff, just find someone who can make your flatpacks.
  24. Agira's advice is good. If you're P2P however, I'd suggest the Ogres at the King's training ground north-west of Ardy. They can't hit back, have low def' to range and drop herb seeds which may help you turn a profit. They also drop big bones which you can use to further your prayer levels fairly rapidly at zero cost.
