The costs to get an EEE are higher than those for any godsword - by far. That's why I still like to get a godsword for slayer (saradomin).. The healing + prayer regen is better than every other item.

Ex-Professional Gamer's view of the "Scrub"
pulli23 replied to T. Skill's topic in General Discussion
Uhm "professional player" is such a stupid term.. It is a self-proclaimed professionalism. Anyone who gives himself that name is just full of himself. Professional gaming means you game for a living- he earned money from competing in tournaments. It's not a pretentious label, it's what his job was called. And it's only recognized as a "job" within the self-made circuit. I see it just as gambling: it's not a job, just some people are lucky to get more money than they spent! -

Experiences lie, math does not; we are subject to a lot of sampling biases For example, my experiences told me that magic defense affected Korasi sword strength. It does not. To be completely fair, like i mentioned previously - GS have SOME use - maybe like one (TD's if you're too slow at switching whip to be effective). But for all intents and purposes it is effectively never #1 at anything else. It makes sense to think of it as basically useless. Uhm what? This mindset is similar to what the old greek-mathematicans had: "if my experiences don't match the perfect mathematics, my experiences are wrong".. Luckily we've grown out of that mindset, and now we think "if my experiences don't match the perfect mathematics, the perfect mathematics forget to include a certain variable". Experience is always more important than mathematics: mathematical rules are used verify & fine tune the ideas you've gained by doing experiments!

Well as I said the 1-item rule (and non-skull-retailation rule) are used to protect skillers there: you've an advantage of 3 items less risked while skilling in wilderness. -
I'm 100% sure it didn't work last winter (2009-2010)..

I hate how runescape always tends to become a monotonous 1 weapon-best-the-rest-can't-even-be-considered feast.

Imo, seeing as there is no chance in losing anything then you shouldn't gain anything from it either. It's like spinning roulette and if you lose, you get your money back. smite? -
You only get the xp per essence crafted: so when you get double runes (or triple) your xp doesn't double. So indeed you need to craft 16k ess to air runes.

No it does not.. I've been the last 2 years sometimes not a member for half a year: and no money was subtracted ever then!

Dragon dagger super poisoned.. or "dragon dagger P++" like jagex forced us to call it.

Some of the rules applied to new bh have done a lot of good. Before you lost ep when teleporting, everyone used to tele out when they had no food. And I can see new wildy being full of 1 itemers especially for the first month or so, so I hope you still will have to risk 76k to get a drop. I will be looking forward to protect item coming back so their is a risk of prayer dropping and smiting people for godswords, so their is actually a risk in bringing these items like their used to be. I'm not gonna like the return of unskulled dharokers though, maybe a good idea will be auto skulling in wildy but still being able to use protect item, and a requirement to be risking 76k to go in wildy. 1 itemers are a lot more harmful than they used to be, back in old wild 1 itemers had dds, now they can use ags, claws, korasi and actually pose a real threat. If there is no downside to no honour things like teleporting, pjing and 1 iteming, people will do it. tl;dr some of the rules and restrictions in bh now did good for pking and would be good to see them adapted for new wild. You know: just don't attack 1 itemers? - then they have to skull themselves and you can smite them? The idea of non-retailiation skulling was to protect the skillers: skillers get 3 "free" items into the wilderness. -

as I said I couldn't care less what some decadent people in their high white castles make up, in 20 years from now they'll completely change their minds, again. - I do see here people saying that loosing your gear which "worked oh so hard for" is similar to being robbed of things like wedding rings. THAT is stupid, and shows you can't seperate reality from games! -

You clearly know nothing about biology or psychology, so please stop trying to espouse as fact what is clearly personal opinion. I know that you shouldn't let emotions get the better of you.. This is just stupid, it's not my "opinion".. Anyone who does that in a game should be banned from the game: clearly they can't draw the line between reality and fiction of the game.. And if they can't, what stops them from murdering - after all in the game it was actually advised to make money by killing humans! Really you don't need to know anything for that: anyone who ever gets fussed over a game - more than the feeling "[cabbage] why this", but the deep saddening feeling you feel when something really bad happens - is either addicted or has another mental problem. After all, it's all a game -
lol I'm passing near there each day with the train :P. Though which side of "hollands diep" you are born? (brabanders ftw!)

You need to stay hydrated to survive, you don't need a rune platebody to survive! If we're talking about basic needs coca cola is probably farther down on the list than a rune platebody  If you're emotionally invested in something because you spent time/money/effort getting it, whether it's a physical object or a "virtual" object, it can be significant to you. Some are emotionally invested in their characters and avatars, and others aren't, and neither one of those choices is inherently better than the other. But getting emotionally affected for a game is unhealth.. This is just a game don't forget that.. Nothing depends on it, nothing will come from it and in the end it will stop! Same goes for just about any accomplishment you can think of-- RL or RS. When you die, it doesn't matter how much you time you spent exercising and being healthy-- your body's dunzo. It does, we aren't animals anymore.. You've got to control your feelings, and your mind should tell you it's only a game, you can just "restart"! -

I'd strongly suspect that you don't have children. If you did, you'd appreciate the heartbreak that a child endures when his items are basically stolen from him. As a parent, it's gut-wrenching to discover that some douchebag has scammed your child out of items he worked so hard to acquire. This is one of the reasons I don't want "free-trade" back. Though my children are all older and wiser now there is a large population of children playing the game who will be taken advantage of by people who consider earstwhile unconscionable acts as valid game tactics, because they can hide their truly despicable nature behind a computer screen ... To play this game without parental supervision you have to be 13. (which is low already, better put the bar at 18, maybe 21).. But at the age of 13 you already go to school, and don't people play with "flippos" or something? - You'll get the same experience there. Other children will do anything to get each others flippos.. Besides: why should a game be playable by children? - Can anyone give a reason for that? Jagex keeps stateing they don't aim for children, so why should every update take them into consideration? -
you can have 250-300sh armour while only weighting 0kg.. (and -1000kg or 0kg doesn't matter at all): -all 3 lightweight gear. -dwarven helmet -sc melee outfit -blessed (or better) spirit shield -staff -fury (or glory) then you can easily solo-run zmi (and thus prevent all lag/misclicking for familairs)
-
Did that, and it worked for me too.. annoying as hell though.. (Especially since it is one of the handfull number of bugs you'll ever see in runescape, so it didn't even cross my mind it might be bugged).

I think that they want to do it in a whole package rather than piece by piece. This is going to be like any other large content update where they have to develop it, generate graphics for it, blue box it, and QA it. Based on other content development, it could take upwards of 2-3 months before we see it in-game. The Volcano, Clan wars arena, and other mini-games/quests take up about 20% of the entire wilderness. That is a lot of graphics and coding to re-do. The only way I can see them speeding that up is stopping all current projects, and not having ANY updates in February. Even then people can only do so much at once as far as programing and designing. Just don't get your hopes up for something right away. I wouldn't expect anything for a month or two after the official "confirmation". They might have already developed it knowing all along it was going to happen, and pull it out sooner. If so, it could be out right away after the vote, but I would expect on 2-3 months of development. If it's here earlier, great. They could just re-use the old graphics & boneyard.. As well as "stretching" everything back to its old size. -
Oh my. Such a teeny tiny window to view the Runescape world with. So much wasted space I play rs on fixed + safe mode on a 22" screen... If you see my screen you would say "destroy" check (warning 3MB pic): Btw for the persons who want to know how I did that: 1) I am a member so no adds 2) I use a mac and auto-hide the bar at the bottem of the screen 3) I downloaded an addon to make my browser (safari) go to full screen and only show the tab bar, which also creates that the upper bar auto-hides. Putting it in a spoiler doesn't reduce the load-time: spoilers are loaded as soon as the topic loads!

Hi there, I'm stuck in the new quest (king of dwarves). After going to the tunnel to start the investigation there I seem to be unable to find veldaban? I'm now in a tunnel with lots of crystals, and already talked to colonel grenda. - The quest guide says: When going through the cave I can't find veldaban anymore. - I did find the chaos dwarves army, and see a 3rd exit midway (though I can't enter without veldaban). What am I missing?
