  1. I think we talked about it earlier, as a sum up. With rune prices the way they are (dirt cheap) fire bolt with blastbox is better xp/hr and gp/xp than water bolt(with tome+air staff). Tome to me has 1 use, the spell bones to bananas. Personally with nature prices at less than 140 I would alch or superheat iron.
  2. Ah right the duel arena, so there has been an area re-released. Can say I did not know about the party room being p2p first.
  3. What are some items or areas that started p2p, then were added to the f2p game? I can only think of two; maple bows and wilderness team capes(I think)?
  4. I wish they made a second one of that. I was sad when I had to leave the... red (?) guy behind. Was such an epic game. This. Such an intense game. I remember being stuck on the first level of the second chapter forever though, because my TV was too dark. I do not know if it is similar, but my dark monitor brought half-life 1 to a whole new level of crazy. Not being able to see underwater, then bam shark piranha fish all up in my grill, bleeeeeeeeeeep. Or headcrabs in tunnels, made me real jumpy. Game wise I *just* picked up earth defense force: insect Armageddon. It was dev'ed by a western studio, and is the second edf game to come stateside. Short overview, third person arcade shooter. The weapons are not as wacky as the first(2017), but you still get to kill giant bugs, and more bugs.
  5. That's not wrong to do, just pointless to continue posting wrong setup after wrong setup once the right answer is posted. Or that particular person would like us to look over what they brought then post clues as to where he/she may have been lead astray, without the blatent "go to this specific spot bring this this and this" @saphira head to the 'official rsof discussion' topic qfc: 199-200-417-63008333 Over there is much better if you want subtle clues and gradual unraveling of that particular day.
  6. Ah thanks for the grid reference part. For me I skipped the sodoku and went for the hidden things, unfortunately I 'extracted' answers based on the riddles and went to the person, (nice title reference!) and was of course wrong; I had wine, air, and death oh well.
  7. If it is a g, then i think gnome is the closest. Tree Gnome Village for the wood, gnome delivery for the cooking. I personally thought it was 'roast'(until I was corrected) For the music with a ball, I get the pun; but it is just unfortunate that we have a song titled "ballad of enchantment" which also has 6 letters.
  8. Aha thanks got it after the 'you' suggestion, I was getting brain paralyzed with can, the, and for. You just never ever crossed the mind path. I think what irked me the most, was the last item in the cryp was 2 words when everywhere else it is one word, so looking through the directory for a 3 letter and 5 letter item did not work =[ Cryptograms rank right next to anagrams as things that just not click, I really hope like the anagram in the previous this will be the only one I will need help with =D
  9. I do not think the person was ever the 'hard' part of the two previous CCFs. But going to those people and having them referenced in different ways did open up some lore for me so *shrug* Just having a teaser so this, was slightly a let down, I thought it had started. Time to don the clue fighting outfit, turn off all the chats, and grease up the brain(even if it is but a worms)
  10. For pking the sighted is better against armored opponents; in no arm fights I think the shortbow is better.
  11. comp 4 has no bonus rooms and fewer(none?) member skill door/rooms.
  12. The CE campaign still holds up very well in terms of quality moments, only the graphics feel dated. Well that is getting a spruce up. For me the SP ranks something like Halo 2, halo CE, reach, 3.
  13. Yay for bringing up year old topics. Rapier for training, 2h for rev huting and pking. Long sword for............. dunno
  14. After that much time a lot has changed/ been added. Start with the task system do as many as possible in all possible areas. This will get you re-acquainted with some of the areas. Then move onto the quests this will also open up more areas.
  15. I started A rev log awhile back of the 4 low level south ones, imp, gobo 15(?), gobo 30(?), and they pyre fiend. I think I ended up with ~500-1k imp kills with 1 statue, pyre I killed about 100 with 2 drops, same about 100 for the gobos with no drops; and F2P. Imp stat was army totem, pyre were lower variety/ tier 1 I do not have the exact numbers because I deleted the files. When I 3-manned the north/west rev group; ice, gobo, imp, gobo, ware, hob gob, vamp we usually end up with a drop per food run. We skip the hellhound because it eats far too much and has one of the stronger magic attacks.
  16. Back to the mystery box, I do not think it is intended for people with >700 skill total. If the steel plate is the best it can give, that is comparable to an uncut emerald. At the 800 skill total mark I do not think anything else will be worth that 'much'. And at 700+f2p a lot of your skills will be in the 50's so that exp lamp may not be all that great either.
  17. On w7 with four other people nonrush is usually in the 45 minute area.
  18. Amusement of the day, I just realized from where the swanky boots borrowed its examine.
  19. The first generation pokemon games have casinos. If Jagex implemented a decent house advantage and limits then it would serve as a very good money sink.

    Tribes: Ascend

Time to load up the spinfuzer and disc some nubs. It will need to offer something different, at the time 98(what a year for games!) it offered very good scifi multiplayer gameplay only rivaled by unreal and quake. And a great moding utility, both of those things have become commonplace so here is hoping it can bring about the sameish revolution. I just wish it's herc based brother would be re-released with tribes.
  21. Ah good call on the rune prices, my numbers were from ~1 year ago when the air rune price was at about 10-15. Also forgot about the saved air rune :doh!: At current blastbox fire bolt goes for about 2 gp/xp, water about 2.3
  22. Water bolt with air staff and tome of ice or crumble undead; that said with nature runes at the price they are at..... I would alch.
  23. For the p2p-f2p comparison a big part of the difference comes from the shadow silk hood. From my perspective mages are the real bad guys, so it is obvious that a plate offers very little to them. Again from my opinion, in p2p the quicker you are able to kill the ones who can see you the less damage you will take, so maximizing offense helps to eliminate hits. F2p binds, maybe there is an optimum bind sequence, it probably does not include the platebody. For a game I think it is most important to bind based on your play style; w61 person maximize speed that is why you are there so go for broke; w7 with randoms keyer probably a good idea to grab that plate and cosmics; w7 knowing what they are doing team less need for that plate; perm team doing 1-35 together maximize the smalls saving 5 mins on 30-35 is the same as saving :45 per on 1-29. Before reading this I had thought there was not many bind choices in f2p d'eering, but Jagex sneakily and rather skllfully gave us very close and subtle options.
  24. Nope, don't think so. Don't be too pissed, lighten up. Life's too short to be pissed off all the time :) Does anyone know any good money making methods that involves skilling? Just going through a checklist fishing; raw fish are way way down, so no woodcutting; i have not been to all the yews in a very long time, but my guess is they are all infested, rimington the least? Mining; if you can get that triple iron spawn in dwarven, or coal bag the wildy skel mine(or rune) smithing; rune bars/addy bars via superheating when the market is good, but that is too close to merching. crafting; can sometimes turn a heafty profit from gem jewerly but see above, gold necklaces are easy money. Magic; prolly not well bones to nanners at the right time see double above. Firemake; no Rcing earth runes. Overall I would say no 'skill' is good for money atm(unless you want to watch the market)
  25. With the prices of fish right now it seems it is better money to bank salmon rather than lobsters?
