I am surprised they are taking out the freeze aspect of the revs. I would think the rev zone would be single area, but in f2p that would make colosi+ a tough solo and probably a one and done. As for attacking rev killers, in a f2p setting, the rev hunters would be in green dhide, wielding a g2h, and in the 110+ range not exactly an enticing target, nor if you kill to be jumped by a rev. I would waste my time looking for rune miners.

Oh man I thought they learned their lesson the first time they tried to implement this system. Yay boneyard, at least it is now the equivalent of making ~400gpk/hr Big bones will crash and/or be min in G.E for a long time. Even if they drop to 300 being there burying bones is the equivalent of low end ~200k/hr. At least I think the xp was in the 10-15k range, it has been quite a while since I was doing that. I guess it is time to brush off the noob crew to help remove unwanted bone gatherers.

How do players know how much an item is worth?
wormy replied to Chrystophilax's topic in General Discussion
yup, if you stood in w1 varrok w2 fally for enough time you would see the patterns, there were basically 2 prices for everything and these really would not change. Price 1 was the bulk sales 1k and up, the other price was for anything lower than the bulk. One popular form of scamming/merching was to do exactly as you said, walk into the bank non w1/w2, and buy up all the loose coal for x, hop to a few other worlds then sell at the bulk price. If you never went to the markets w1/w2/forums then you probably had no idea on what the majority viewed as an items worth. -
I wouldn't run too far away from the revs, because it makes the spiders re-aggressive, instead to the west there is a lone tree hide behind that once the rev attacks. Most of the time it will sit behind the tree, allowing you to log(important that the reds are passive). Sometimes they unstick themselves and attack once more, and again and again.

Buying muddy keys off of the GE then mass opening the chest I believe to be the quickest theoretical gp/hr.

This did put quite the smile on my face, as I do fall into that category.

[DevBlog] History of RuneScape: The First Four Years
wormy replied to Mil's topic in General Discussion
As a consequence of the topic lots of the mid june '04 crowd congregated here =] Deep wildy had the axe hut, does anyone still train there? Still would have been neat to see their behind the scenes reasoning on the creation of the wilderness and any other ideas they had for helping the 'pk/npk stuck' people. Also the effect of item banks, and why player owned houses took ~7 years to come. -

A couple dates seem a bit off, i have an old password recovery email from march 20 '01 so I kinda figure that is when i started playing, I really thought fally and such was in at that time, but if the mans says there were added later, I guess that means they were added later *shrug* -
If you need a combat partner add me - worm brain, to at least get you on your dungeoneering feet.

Fishing of at least 40 for shortfin eel Mining of 40 for fractite, but most of those get mined on the spot by the fighters Craft 48 for full bryll fm 40 to light spinebeam wc 40 same reason Semi optional rc 65 for deaths. They are easily the thing I see people most asking to be made for them.

The only problem with the spiders in the SoS is they will hit the crap out of you. There is a small alcove of bones in the first chamber that you can use to safespot, but in all normal worlds that room is always packed. At levels 70-90 i found that click training red spiders in the varrok sewer gave me my best xp/arrow and almost the best arrows/hr. Ankous in the SoS are an option, but I dont really like it there. Drops are tempting and slow you down, also I find it is a bad angle for shooting, running from the spot getting hit, bleh. Hob gobs are an option, but vs reds they are both more packed and have fewer lp. Could always go for ranging while dungeoneering, ok way to knock 2 out 2 birds. Ice giants in the ice cave, they are big so safespots(i think) also helps to raise the pray. Moss giants on cranor, can be packed there too. I am sure there is a neato way in the black knight fortress and pray flashing eagle eye, altar nearby, but meh I havn't been there in ages. My personal training method is the flesh crawlers in the SoS, re stock food every 1-2 hrs and goto town.

Remember dwarf stouts so you will only need lvl 67 smith. Easiest/quickest iron plates bodies to steel plate bodies More senseable method start smelting steel bars, if you have the dungeoneering tokens for the coal bag, now is the time to get it. Buy iron/coal head to al karid and start smelting. You will build up a decent cash pile, then buy the rest with iron bars-iron platebodies.

Adding in one other reliable person will give you the most "bang for the buck" and would allow you to place a gatestone in a far corner, and your partner would also place in a far corner and in most cases the gates will be within 4-5 squares of where they need to be.

If your fire lasts into the second inv you do not have to stop and relight. I prefer the bank, withdraw light fire and proceed without any mid inv interruptions. Sure Mr Efficiency would do it otherwise, but I like it at BH.
-
or if you are the anti social type and dont want people asking you what your cooking level is, or what you are cooking use the BH bank, only disadvantage is that you may have to move a bit, but that makes the fire in a different spot.

Just from a f2p perspective, unless you are a hoster I find it is really hard to convince the leader to hand over his precious ggs. Not to mention very few w7 f2pers tend to use gatestones, let alone have the rc level for laws. In that sort of scenerio it makes sense to have one person keep track of the keys/doors and herd the people while to team chugs along. As another generalization w7 likes to kill everything except DE's/mem doors. So the full party is usually needed at every door. Quick sum up in f2p not many use gatestones, so having a member that can use gatestones keeping all the keys will drastically speed up the dungeon, because the keyer will know all the keys and know where to go next. If you do find a party/team that can and do use gatestones, and have an average understanding of efficient dungeoneering by all means gate doors.

hfbrads was talking about earths which max out at 4x at lvl 78. Time for some paper RS on water rune crafting. This is from memory so very unexact numbers. With teletabs, and fally tele(Daemonheim replaces) I could craft roughly 1k ess in 20 mins(1 set of rc gloves) so 3k ess per hour. Before factoring in the time to get the 120 teletabs(4080 tokens), it would be (3000ess * 5r/e(lvl76midle of the road level) * 38) = 570000 - 141000= 429000 gp/hr Ok now to get 4k tokens hmmm via 50-50 would take high end 3 hours, quitters crashers etc. So 4 total hours for 569k (I make about 40k worth of runes while playing per hour) = 140k/hr Now getting the max token/hr 3k 1.5 hrs, 2.5 hrs for lets say 525k, 210k/hr. Now getting 3k tokens/hr would give you right now 130 gp/token which is 420kish/hr I would put rune mining at a low end of 250k random hopping without keeping track of worlds and without scouts.

Just recently played through a large, our merc leader was only lvl 81ish looked like t4 gear. Funny thing it was a 5:5 and our average was probably in the 95-100 range. I really hope this is an exception and he hasn't been hit with a nerfbat, well maybe a small bat would be ok.
-
For pking purposes you may want to play with the blastbox it has a crit hit every 5 casts. For max mage something like full combat, grav staff, tome frost, arcane necklace. For training via combat spells I would use water bolt, with tome frost air staff, and full runecrafter robes.
-
Eh, I much prefer the current RS, standing in varrok and lagging out/cruising forums to sell or buy things again, yeah no.
-
Start off with buying flour at port sarim ~7k for 500/24 hr. You can then immediately sell on the ge for ~50k profit, takes 20 mins to do this. Or get a lot of buckets and turn the flour into pastry dough, this will take an hour total, and will make ~200k. Another option is to pick bananas on karmajra use the bank deposit in port sarim, thoguh since you have not done the pirate quest the ship may slow you down ~100k/hr. Best of luck

the 70/hr thing was when I was in TZ so.... I think I was cmb 105ish at that time, so I am sure the number has gone up a bit, it is just a shame most of the roach drops have decreased since that time. Laws, addy, mith, and deaths; only one that has stayed stable is the rune scimitar. They were cranking out 1850/ kill at that time.
-
Well the soliders are down to abot 1650 gp/kill on average. I was killing ~70/hr, so I would say it took about 7.5 hrs to get that gp.

Some high levelled revenants do hit over 200. But who the hell fights those anyway... *Points at the Isok*
