Haven't played the game in months, but I do enjoy reading the ever-changing thread titles.

Whether a bunch of white over-privileged high school kids feel like they're entitled to use a racist slur their ancestors used on black slaves as a way to dehumanize them is completely irrelevant. Fact of the matter is should you use it, there will be repercussions (probably in the form of angry fists). And you are patently dumb as hell if you don't understand why it might cause that reaction. It's equally dumb to propose that it should be a perfectly acceptable word to throw around.

I thought people liked hearing about weird dreams, but maybe I'm wrong and I should stop telling people. Problem is people don't keep their recaps short and simple. They also sometimes go into long tirades of possible symbolisms and meanings behind them bathing in a [cabbage] fountain, or whatever. Nothing makes me zone out faster than people analyzing dreams.

There are few things that are as wholly uninteresting as hearing someone give a detailed description of last night's "whacky" dream.

I do this too. It's a habit from when I used to work as a moderator and had night shifts (which was pretty much every night), so I wouldn't wake up people in the house with my nocturnal feasts.

Also, I offer to revise papers for friends just because I enjoy finding grammatical/spelling problems. It's like an adult Easter Egg hunt; instead of chocolate you get smug self-satisfaction. That probably also makes me uncool by default.

The ending to Fallout 3 made me very sad and not a "wow this is art *wistful tear*" more like aauuughhhhh.

Powdered artificial flavoring. Are there any that don't contain animal products? There are ones with "vegetable" powder. Whatever that tastes like.

If they haven't announced it on the website then there's no official date set yet.

I usually add half a meat stock and sprinkle whatever spices came with. Been a while since I last had noodles though.

SomethingAwful forum members. :P Goons in MMOs go pretty far back (there is, or has been, a goon guild in basically ever MMO made - even Runescape. The Goonfleet's influence in EVE Online is apparently huge). To get an idea of what they're like check out the raid-encounter videos, where they talk about everything except the actual encounters. The guilds are usually known for being hated in most MMOs they play since they troll and make fun of everyone not in the guild. Really great guilds to be a part of though as they're very nice and helpful to people in it, they also have a knack for advancing fast in MMOs, and the guild chat is never dead (at least wasn't in WoW). There are guilds at the aiononline forums that'll roll Asmo just so they can kill us. And the game hasn't even hit open beta yet. Tres fun!

That is probably the Asian servers. I know WoW did something similar where they charged for hourly time cards and not per month time cards. America and Europe probably will work on 15ish dollars a month. Probably is. Not for the reason that it will be sold out, but for the reason that you get good stuff with the Collectors edition. There's some NPC dialog in the PTR involving the Tauren considering worshiping "the light of the sun" or whatever the actual quote is. As for dwarf shamans, aren't they pretty well-represented in the Wildhammer Clan already? Doesn't seem to be a joke, but yeah, there's a huge thread about this on the SA MMO subforum which has existed for a couple of days already. People are still posting and making predictions and stuff so it seems like it's legit. However, there are two guys who's made a bunch of wild predictions and claiming it's "straight from Blizzard's mouth", but they've already been outed as trolls. I think they're banned as well. Maybe it's those guys he's referring to? The OP of the SA thread appears like he has some inside connections; and if there's a group of people who can call BS on stuff like this, it's the collective hivemind of the SA goons.

First year of University for me, will be doing IT & Communicationscience for 3 years. Registrations open up tomorrow and the school year officially starts next Monday. I'm pretty excited. Feels nice to have the next 3 years planned out for me now; won't have to worry about anything other than doing my school work. The last 2 years have been the complete opposite: uncertain and bumpy to say the least.
