  1. The only thing that would have directly affected me was shards, and that's not a problem any more. I can see how other items could be a problem, but I'm not too worried about them because I don't plan on buying any of them in bulk any time in the near future.
  2. I'm sure somebody will eventually get 200m xp in every skill, but it won't happen any time soon.
  3. I'd like to thank myself for thanking myself for thanking myself for thanking....
  4. Different people like different types of humor. Apparently, this isn't a type of humor that you like. I didn't think it was very funny either, except for a couple of them.
  5. Sure, they could do that, but fewer people would read it. I'm sure Jagex wants as many people to read it as possible.
  6. Advertising Fun Orb on Runescape to get Runescape players interested in Fun Orb makes plenty of sense to me. It's basically free advertising for Fun Orb, so it would be pretty silly not to do it. It certainly doesn't cause any harm.
  7. I wish society would get over this obsession with gender stereotypes. Yes, it's true that most males like certain things and most females like certain things, but it is possible for males to like things that females usually like and for females to like things that males usually like. Even if somebody is a male who is posing as a female, why does it matter? They're not harming anybody.
  8. I've heard about this. I just don't understand why people are willing to do something illegal to cheat in a game.
  9. It should be the responsibility of the players (or maybe their parents) to decide how much is too much, not Jagex. If somebody wants to play Runescape instead of doing other things that most people consider more important, that's their choice, and they should be able to make that choice. I suppose Jagex as a right to limit how much people use their product, but I wouldn't support their decision to do it, and they shouldn't be obligated to do it. Even if Jagex did set some sort of limit, people would easily find ways around it. I'm sure that most people who wanted to play more than 8 hours in a day would just create another account to use after they played for their 8 hours, and even if Jagex prevents people from playing Runescape for amounts of time that most people consider too long, that doesn't prevent anybody from playing other games for 20 hours a day.
  10. I enjoyed reading it, but I do have one small problem with it. How can 2005 be a close 2nd and not be able to compare to this year's at the same time? I know it's not that big of a deal, but it's slightly annoying.
  11. People never stop to think about the definition of the words they use.
  12. I'm really looking forward to the clan wars changes. I'm going to enjoy being able to have returning wars again.
  13. Jagex probably isn't marketing to kids. They're just making the game safe for any kids who happen to be playing. They probably see it as more of a moral obligation than a marketing tool. Sure, they could take the easy way out and just say kids under 13 can't play, but there's no logical reason not to let them play, other than protecting them, and they'd probably just lie about their age anyway. A lot of them will probably still lie about their age, but I'm sure a few won't now, and they'll be safer, and I'm sure that Jagex will feel much better knowing that at least some kids are safer.
  14. There are a few possible situations. 1. He hacked you, bought membership for the account so he could use it on a members world, then felt guilty about hacking you and gave it back. 2. He hacked you, felt guilty about it, and bought membership for you to make up for it. 3. He will use his credit card information later to claim that he is the true owner of the account, in order to steal it again, and you won't be able to get it back. 4. He was playing a joke on you to make you panic. 5. You're making this up.
  15. It's your celebration, so it doesn't matter if other people think it's a good reason to celebrate or not. If you think it's a good reason to celebrate, then it's a good reason to celebrate. If others don't think it's a good reason to celebrate, they can choose not to go.
  16. I'm looking forward to the bank improvements. The rest of it is nice, but not really that big of a deal. The improved Tutorial Island should prevent a lot of people from deciding they don't like the game before they even play it for 30 seconds. Item lending will also be nice, as long as I don't get too many people wanting to borrow my stuff.
  17. I don't have a problem with Jagex nerfing them, but I do wish they wouldn't have waited so long to do it. When Jagex feels that something should be nerfed, they should nerf it as soon as they can, not wait 1 1/2 years after it comes out. Just like Pest Control, it probably needed to be done, but it should have been done sooner, so fewer people would be able to take advantage of it. However, it's better late than never.
  18. Some of the less expensive/less useful items may change a bit depending on how they look with the new graphics, but I don't think many of the useful/expensive items will change much, since most of the people using them will still be using them for whatever they're good for.
  19. Runescape has been getting more complex over the years, but it's also easier to figure out. With all the tutorials, fansites, and the knowledge base it's not hard to figure out what you need to know. And most new players are f2p, so they don't have so much stuff to learn that they get overwhelmed. Also, there are plenty of games that are more complex and harder to learn than Runescape is.
  20. That can't be accurate. Even if it was possible to somehow get all of that information, Jagex would have to release it, unless they're somehow hacking into their site, which I highly doubt.
  21. Merchanting won't be ruined, but it will change. People could just buy everything that's selling for lower than their price, and sell all of them for their price. There wouldn't be anything lower than their price since they bought them all, so it would force people to either buy theirs or wait for somebody else to sell it for cheaper.
  22. My total level is 178 times as high as my post count. I usually just browse these forums instead of posting. Laziness ftw.
