Fighter Torso Discussion/Argument Thread
And you say you don't spam... -------- Pretty much believe anything CompFreak says. Theories can be wrong but when the numbers are right out there in front of you its pretty much proven fact. Whether its one mans experiences or not it still lays the foundation for learning. Kudos to Comp for yet another topic Slaughter. Keep up the good work. Addy Chains ftw.

Rune Armour Alternatives
He can't wear barrows he's not 70 defence. Like Asian said, don't waste your money just keep up with rune and save your money for barrows at level 70 defence. Barrows will be the best armor you could every put on so that's pretty much what you should do. Don't waste your money on an Obby Shield either, stick with a rune kite and keep training until you can get into the Warriors Guild. Once you are in there then get yourself a rune defender ASAP. (If you haven't already)

Focusing on Slayer
You should already have a black mask if you planned on slaying anyway. Black mask is the first item anyone who plans on slaying should buy. -------- I pretty much second what kent said pretty much. Don't waste your money on a DFS, Iron and Steel drags should be on your Blacklist anyways. I also put Wyverns and Waterfiends on their. Just speeds up the exp/hour. Rune defender is pretty much all you will need. Zammy Book for ranging. Karils Top and Bottom. Torag Plate and Torag Legs/Verac Skirt (skirt only if praying). Switch to guthans when you want to heal. Or you could just wear the Guthans Plate and Legs then switch to helm and Spear when you wanna heal. Whatever floats your boat. Whip, Dragon Boots and Fury then you are all set. Warriors ring if you have a spare 200k laying around.

Summoning Pet Restriction? GAH!
I have to agree with the Rant maker as well. What use does a pet limit server? Whether we can have 1 pet out at a time or 30 (yes I realize 30 would lag the worlds tremendously etc etc. Just using a hyperbole for the sake of the argument). If I want to have all pets (that you could possibly have, i.e. not all 3 god birds at once) then why can't I? It's my bank space and my pets. Just saying. Is there really a need for a limit, would it hurt anyone if there wasn't one?

duradel or sumona?
Always go with the best slayer master you can use. That's pretty much what I tell everyone that asks.

training in "controlled" for combat
It is faster to train them all separately in this order Att -> Str -> Def. With higher attack you hit more often, hitting more often leads to faster str exp. With higher attack and strength you hit more often and higher which leads to faster defence exp. You should switch from each one every 5-10 levels. So get 5 attack levels then start str, get that then start defence... rinse and repeat. Once you hit 70 attack str and def you might want to train your skills in order of strength first then attack and lastly defence. This is what everyone mainly does. Strength is usually the first skill trained, then attack and finally defence. Some may argue that having to drop a whip for a str training weapon decreases the amount of exp/hour you get however the difference between exp/hour with a SS (saradomin sword) and a Whip+Defender is maybe 5-8k MAX which does add up but taking into consideration with higher str and att levels you will be gaining your defence exp at a rate greater than 5-8k exp/hour if you were to train on controlled I'd say that argument is silly.

Stackable items that you can buy in stores..
Isn't transfering items from account to another account agains the rules? :o It is also against Tip.It's forum rules to make a post in all one color that is not the default color. Feathers are probably best. BTW.

AStral runes (runecrafting)
Well let me know exactly what it is you want. Do you want: [*:144m2onx]fastest exp WITH profit [*:144m2onx]fastest exp WITHOUT profit [*:144m2onx]BEST for profit (no regard for exp) What exactly are you looking for here. Also do you have any preferences? As in, do you not like the abyss, are you trying to avoid the abyss. Whats up.
-
AStral runes (runecrafting)
You shouldn't craft Astrals until you are 82 so you can make double Astrals. You will be able to make 1582 ess per hour (using pouches) and you will be taking a loss as well. Zarfots Mega Runecrafting Guide Personally I would go with Deaths through the Abyss (but that's just personal preference) The only way to craft 3k ess an hour is with Graahks or Tabs and doing Nature runes.

Bandits?
Bandits are about 60-70k exp/hour. All you really need is a Sara or Zammy item + your best str boosting gear. When you are low on health switch to your guthans and heal. The only 100k exp/hour things out there are Armored Zombies 102k exp/hour and Zombie Monkies 112k exp/hour. Armored Zombies are also 100k+ gp/hour profit where as Zombie monkies you lose a bit of money.

Questions about barrows armor
When you repair always use an armor stand in someones house. If you cant find a house, there is always one open in W31 Yanille. The house with the alter there will 9.9 times out of 10 have a armor stand. Just ask the owner where it is. It really depends on your smithing level. The higher smithing you are the cheaper it is to repair on an armor stand. Don't worry about it really, that 15 hours is a loong time.

Cooking?
No don't start sharks until 94, that way you won't burn them (with cooking guants worn) Up to 94 either you can do lobs, swordies (at 86 to not burn) or monks (which you never stop burning) I did lobs.
-
Questions about barrows armor
Well guthans set should only be used to heal. (My personal opinion) but you can switch out the spear for a Whip and Defender. Go ahead and get your guthans its probably the most versatile set out of all of them. You won't need it for pest control though using any barrows armor there is stupid (unless it Dharoks) since you won't lose anything if you die and you should be trying to maximize your str and attack bonuses.
-
Cooking?
Starting at 80 I did lobbs until 94 then I am doing Sharks until 99. So do what someone else said, Tuna until 74 then lobbs. (you can switch to swordies if you want, I just did lobbs) I don't know what all these people are talking about when they say monks are more exp than sharks. I don't think they realize monks are only faster exp when fishing then expect them to be while cooking too. Last I checked 150 exp (monk) is less than 210 exp (shark) but maybe I am wrong . Don't forget to wear your cooking Guants.

Solo Bandos/Zamorak.
Yea you should be fine. Don't forget to do the actual quest (Royal Trouble) and mini-game (Knights Waves) to get your piety prayer #-o .. If you haven't already. Also you may want to try it out with a few friends or random people looking for a team. If you have never gone before this will be valuable experience to you and it will help you learn what you need to do when you solo to be the most effective.

Combat, Slayer and Quests
Do the combat. Skillers are just attention seekers. Once you hit 70's in all combats you can be looking at 80-110k exp/hour with Zombie Monkies or Armored Zombies. Combat opens up much more opportunities and slayer is actually fun. When I quit I hated slayer but then when I started playing again, it was the only skill that appealed to me and helped me get back into the game. I don't know what Kietaro1 is talking about.. last time I checked anyone with a Con cape was impressive in my book. Level 3 or level 138 what difference does it make? You could start out by just doing straight slayer (which would take you awhile to get 85 combat but the slayer exp is nice as well) or [*:1i8lch62]Just start your training slow. Chickens until you have about 15-20 in all combats (This should take 2-4 hours MAX) then move up to cows. [*:1i8lch62]Cows are good exp up to about 40 then it starts slowing down. So 40 all combats. Bury all the bones, should be about 20-30 prayer. Which will give you 48 combat. I don't think that's bad for about 10-13 hours total. If I were you I would even spend some money on some D bones and get 43 prayer (hell if you got enough go all the way to 70, shouldn't cost more than 6 or 7 mil) [*:1i8lch62]Now that you are 40 all combats and 43 prayer (maybe 70) do some of the easier quests and get the free combat exp. Dragon slayer should get you 2 or 3 defence levels. [*:1i8lch62]When you are done the quests you should start up your slayer. : This would be the best route in my book. I have done this (minus the prayer) on about 3 or 4 pures that I never used (because I always come back to my main)

Solo Bandos/Zamorak.
Why a sara Item if im going to either Zammy or bandos? Because of the sara mages you come across sometimes to get your killcount. I don't know what these two are talking about. I get my KC for Zammy with Imps and for Bandos with the 3 Hobgoblins. There are no sara mages even remotely close.. :?: For Zammy you might want to wear either a piece of Zammy D hide or Zammy Bracers. So you don't get hit by the zammy monsters while getting KC. 90 Def and 70 prayer would probably be the first thing you should get to. Every little bit helps to be more effective. Especially Piety, but you only Piety at Bandos, I think I heard from a friend that the more prayers you have on at Zammy, the harder he hits when he hits through your protection prayer.

27 Summoning.
Crimsons Crimsons Crimsons. Pretty much your best crimson monster + spirit terrorbirds will be your main source of summoning exp. (Or at least it should be) Here is how I got up to 71 starting at 40+ (I did a lot of ToG): [*:2o2hs20t]Honey Badger until 46 [*:2o2hs20t]Pyrelords until 49 [*:2o2hs20t]Bloated Leaches until 64 (Also once you hit 52 start burning golds as well making Terrorbirds for extra exp if you run out of crims) [*:2o2hs20t]Bagged Plants until 71 (At 68 I also made 1k bunyip pouches for personal use, terrible exp though) Its as simple as that my friend. From 27 try making Granite crabs until level 32 where you can then make Honey Badger's. Also, if you wish to read up on better ways to get summoning levels as well as charms and various other knowledge about summoning try Kents Guide. Located HERE. Hope I was of service to you.

d claws
No you do not. You don't need it done to wield a dragon plate, Dragon Hai robes or elite black armor either.

Armour Question
15 hours is fast? You do know after the first hit it goes directly to 100.. then the 15 hours to degrade really begins... -.- Stick with barrows unless you are poor or cheap. Always use an armor stand in someones (or your own) house to make the costs to repair even less. Can't find a house with an armor stand? World 31 Yanille. The open alter will have an armor stand 9.9 times out of 10.

2 questions regardering P2P
If you had a pair of dragon claws... would you want 50m or 3m?

2 questions regardering P2P
Junk Trades: Junk trading is using other items to boost the price of a specific item past that of the G.E. price. Junk items are usually items that would not sell on G.E. but have a decent price. For example, rune javelins, they are impossible to sell because no one buys them, so they are considered junk. Dragon claws cost 3m in the G.E. but with junk a player could sell them for 50m due to the high demand. Here is an example of a junk trade: Player A has dragon claws. Player B wants to buy them. Player A puts up his dragon claws + junk in the trade screen which equals a total of 50m. Player B then puts up the 50m and buys the dragon claws. Simple as that.

am i doing somthing wrong?
Then again, if you start getting really lucky 10+ herb harvests, you're losing out on 20k+ profit by picking the less expensive herb. Generally, those two factors balance each other out on average. Right now, snapdragon is the more profitable herb. I never denied that, but when you take the average from each herb snaps only beat out toadflax slightly, not enough to make me switch.
