  1. As Kimberly points out this is an intentional feature to maximise the viewing area for the content you're looking at when horizontal space is limited. It was actually designed with using Windows 7+'s left/right drag features 100% in mind, so you can have more room to view your guide or whatever alongside another window.
  2. This might be the result of a change I made yesterday but it shouldn't be, I'll look into it tonight when I get home.
  3. To be fair the smithing table isn't there, but that's it.
  4. We removed it on guides for readability purposes on different backgrounds, we have no intention of removing it for the side menu.
  5. For the record I asked Silv yesterday if we ever got a copy of the scapeboard DB and he said it was never handed over, so that's never coming back even as an archive, sorry. :P
  6. It's fixed, I think this bug has been around since we converted. Not IPB's fault as it's physically impossible to reproduce the problem without doing some DB changes so I expect it happened during conversion. I could explain what happened but I don't really think it's worth bothering. :P Anyway, if you resave any posts it's happened in, they should get sorted, and any future posts should be fine.
  7. I guess Steffan finally gave up trying to sell it for thousands of Euros Well done Peter! That's very nice! But I assume the database is still lost forever? Was probably deleted many years ago now, never to return. Basically it used to be hosted free of charge by another web host, some disagreement happened and we moved, they held onto the domain for over a decade before I grabbed it. :P As far as I know that host held the database and they never handed it over.
  8. Tip.It is pleased to announce that @Xena_Dragon is to be the new leader of the Website Crew! Please all join us in giving him a warm welcome in his promotion. Xena has previous experience working with other large fansites and managing their data collection and presentation, amongst other things, so we are sure he will be an even bigger asset to the Crew now as its leader. Congrats! :)
  9. Can I see a screenshot of what's so bad about it? And also some further information such as your browser and version? For me it looks perfectly legible. We'll look into the 1024px width issue, analytics shows that 6% of our users still use a width that small so while dropping support for it would be nice we can't yet, but equally it's not a hugely high priority for us to fix that width problem right now.
  10. Why is that a problem? Because if you search for something in Google and it shows you a page of TIF, you click that link and have a TIF account and a different number of posts per page, then the post you want probably won't even be there, even though you clicked through looking for it.
  11. Yes we can change the limit but it would change for everyone. The reason it was done is for search engine links and for making it easier to find posts. When everyone has the same amount of posts on a page, it means page 3 for you of a topic is exactly the same as page 3 for user X. Before, this wasn't the case as it could vary a lot depending on how many posts per page you were using.
  12. I can see the problem, I've notified the coder who deals with the Equipment Builder about it so it can be patched. It's still the correct URL, there's just some unnecessary error checking going on there.
  13. http://services.runescape.com/m=news/mod-mmg-on-runescape-micro-payments Could it be?
  14. FYI myself and a few other developers have been pushing them to do this for years, since before they even suggested it themselves back in 2008. I brought it up last year myself as well in some private forums with them, as well as again more recently this year, and they always say the suggestions will be passed on but either they aren't or the team who gets them isn't interested in putting in the time to do this. The idea always gets the support of the people in those forums and as you can see, generally gets public support (because why wouldn't it?) but nothing seems to be done.
  15. For the record I've cleaned up the drops (where it drops to 1 player being detected) from the database and also put in some code so that hopefully shouldn't happen in the future.
  16. Please read the PM I sent you also.

  18. You also don't need to signup to OpenDNS at all to use it making most of your steps unnecessary, you just simply need to configure your OS/Router to use their IP addresses. Also you can use Google Public DNS or Level3 DNS both of which have easier to remember IP addresses.
  19. Yeah, I replaced one of the queries IP.Board was using by default for topic loading, in some cases we've seen load times drop from 40-50 seconds ( :?) for a large topic, to under 1 second. The problem used to be that because some topics were so large, whenever someone opened one of them, it would be sorting such a large result set that it would choke the whole database server (thus causing the slow load for everyone else) until the query finished. Now that these queries run in less than a second the forum should be faster for everyone. I've also submitted the appended query to IPS with a view to them including it within their future releases.
  20. This is the best video ever: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7RYeKYj4vEY
  21. IP addresses on SwiftIRC are masked in exactly the same way that they were/are on our own server. The only way someone can get your IP address is if you do something which allows them to see it, again, exactly the same as on our server. As for SwiftKit, there's never been anything within it related to stealing account information or aiding with hacking ever. The only "viruses" people have claimed about from SwiftKit have been when they already had a virus infection that SwiftKit reveals. A perfect example of this is when a user's IE installation gets a virus, and because they never use IE or do a full system scan, they never find it, until they use SwiftKit which uses an IE window to browse the web, so when it gets launched, the antivirus kicks in and finds it. This usually leads to disinfection and in fact you can scan the SwiftKit installation with pretty much any virus scanner and it's perfectly clean. We would not be promoting software or services on our website if we had any suspicions that they would be used to compromise our users, that's hardly good for anyone. https://www.virustotal.com/file/3e8e4e9f6e28411918bc36ab7ec53ec2a8081b3cbf1544e6d2521df7f5ca4952/analysis/ The one detection there being quite obviously a false positive.
  22. The link should be there now (I've moved it to the right though).
  23. I think you're misreading the post? Unless you're 350k away from each of those 99s. It's 350k exp at the end of August, then 700k exp at the end of September if you were subscribed the whole time. The only "every day" things are the 2 extra spins. It's kind of has a double meaning 1. Be a member through all of August and receive 350,000 XP (once) and an "extra bonus spin every day" 2. Be a member through all of August and receive "350,000 XP and an extra bonus spin every" day I'd formulate it "an extra bonus spin every day and 350k exp at the end of the month" Oh I agree, it's not well worded, but there's no way they're giving away that much exp every day. :P
