You forget the most important question: is it fun to play? Rewards aren't necessary for a successful minigame. Look at castle wars, the rewards are cabbage, but it's very popular. Personally, I found FOG one of the most boring things to do in RS, even worse then skilling. But if it's great fun, why bother so much with the rewards? To me, if people complain about the bad rewards of a minigame and use that argument to say the minigame is useless, the minigame has failed.

tbh rcing isnt that good a money anymore. with nature prices dropping its hard to make money with it even with 91. Way to repeat what I said 5 posts back up. :wall: I know, but RCing is still in the top 5 best money makers. Monster Hunting Hunter Runecrafting Farming I want to say herblore...-.- They are in no order by the way. How is hunter better money then runecrafting? At max speed, it's still a nice 700K+/hour. Hunter maxes at about 400K/h (with red chins). (22-23-453-56533177 page 12 and 48-49-748-56173847 page 4). I also think you rate farming too low, it can actually give you over 700K/h (doing herb runs of approximately 7 minutes; 48-49-748-56173847 page 3). Even without the Trollheim patch and being pretty slow I get over 600K/h. Owh and herblore actually also is a good moneymaker, making unfinished potions can give 1M+/h. Too bad they're very hard to sell. I have a selling offer for 10K lanta's and toadflax (unf potions) combined for over a week now and I've only sold about a quarter of it. I already had a feeling you'd mine granite, it's the only way of training mining and making quite good money (I guess 1M+/h would be possible). I'm surprised it hasn't dropped yet. Owh and Good Luck with your summoning BTW. Having a jack pack (if that's the right name) must be awesome!

1900 total!!! Missing stats are 75 construction, 78 hunter and 52 summoning. It doesn't feel as good as the other milestones though, I teared half of the levels. :S But on the good site, after I'm done with my bones, only herblore, smithing (and summoning) are left before all skills 75+! :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

Slayer is actually one of the slowest skills out there, it maxes at 22K xp/h on average and that's with using piety on every task. Mining is at least twice as fast, but you rate it way higher. And you also underrate smithing, training it at any reasonable speed (and then it's still way slower then con, herb and pray) costs way more then construction and prayer. And no, making cannonballs isn't one of those methods.

First of all a general tip: Before leaving the bank, also use a D Baxe spec and drink a normal restore pot (ridiculously cheap) and drink your sup att after that. The str boost will help quite a bit. Your technique is good, I prefer a slightly different one. First, change your stole with a fury>glory and your legs by a verac skir , drink a sup def potion if you're def is below 85 and you don't have a DFS before leaving the bank and take a few monks (depending on levels and equipment). Now, the point of this method is to kill them with piety, making the kills insanely fast. With 84 84 84 stats I take 4 monks and no sup def (but I have a DFS) and do a full trip including the terrorbird in about 10 minutes. 5-hitting them and less is quite common.

You're so lucky and unlucky at the same time. I don't know anyone else who has gotten 6 (!!) left halves.

As to your opening question, an item becomes junk when it cannot be sold on the GE due to the GE price being far higher than anything a reasonable person would be willing to pay. Well, a few weeks someone posted a 99 fletching achievement in the rate this forum with maple longs (u). For the sole purpose to have junk for trades. Don't you agree that's just foolish? He could have had way more net worth (either in junk or in real cash) by just doing yews and used the rest of the time to make money. And then sell the items he wanted to sell for less money (because he wouldn't have had junk). Obviously, it's a different story for those addy p++, javelins, etc.

Yup. That's why, as a rule of thumb, I tend to help higher levels more then lower ones. Higher levels understand that you can't devote your day to them, and are smart and experienced enough to figure out most stuff themselves. But as a result of that, they hardly ever need help.

I've been playing on a girl character for over 2 years now and I hardly get any comments like that. I even haven't heard the whole BF/GF thing in a few months. Most people I meet assume all girl characters are male IRL (I remember a study that 75% of the female characters in MMO's are male IRL, but I seem to have lost it), so they just act normal.

Sometimes it seems that's exactly what Jagex thinks and that's also a very big part of the problem. Why do you think animal masks and top hats started so low? I remember a few weeks back, on the RSOF was a J-Mod post which said those items are undervalued, because they didn't want a select few to abuse those new items and become "unfairly" rich by it. So they just put up a low starting price and think it'll be all solved smoothly. Too bad it just doesn't work that way.

What's wrong with fame? A lot of people want it and it's very hard to earn on a level 120. It's easier to gain fame on a f2p/level 3 account. What's wrong with taking the "easier", "smarter", "more efficient" (or however you want to call it) to get it? Besides that, maybe they got boring of their old account and wanted a new challenge. Get an untrimmed slayer cape and say it again please. An untrimmed HP cape shows you favour balanced combat stats (or at least melee) and don't cannon for range xp. I don't say either of those is right or wrong, but why is it wrong to show your balanced combat? That's the reason those capes were implanted in the first place.

I wonder what site you advertised, because I only got 0.1 blackmark for the same offence.

Just a little bit off topic question. If monsters drop a charm, is that the only drop, or is it like a clue so you also get a "normal" drop. If it's not that way, all normal drops on almost all monsters just got a lot rarer. This may also counts for "boss drops".

Difficult? Ok to me. Long? Ok to me. Expensive? Ok to me. I only hoped for something with less grinding (like farming, slayer and PP), too bad they didn't do that. :(

I've been at barrows the past few days and I didn't notice any difference. That was just coincidence.
