  1. That's freakin sweet...it would be worth it just for The Beat (the new English Beat)!
  2. There's only one gadget that keep me from getting the amount of sleep I should...an alarm clock
  3. What on earth are you on about? Those two bands represent completely different subgenres of metal, neither being hardcore or screamo. On topic, I love a bit of Comeback Kid and Bane now and then (I have CBK's Wake the Dead and Broadcasting...). Now we're talking!!!! Comeback Kid is simply amazing...saw them about a month ago in...freaking epic show! (not straight edge as this topic started out, but at least the topic is back to real hardcore). I like Bane quite a bit, but they've never really pulled me in like some other HC bands.
  4. definitely count me in
  5. great topic...part of would like my heaven to be like nothing on earth...an etheral space which fills you with a euproric feeling. Another part of me wants a replication of the most beautiful nature areas of earth. I must say I never felt more close to God (or whatever your version of a higher beings is...if you have one) than out in nature well away from the "rat race". However, with both these ideas, I tend to think that I would get bored (I mean this is for eternity afterall!). Could it really be heaven without the things on earth which I love? Therefore, my family, pets, favorite sports, computer, truck, DVD collection, and so on and so forth would need to be there. So, I guess what i really want is a heaven that contains all the positive things I have and experience here on earth, without all the things that piss me off. In addition, freedom to do as I please would definitely be an important part (if I wanted to play on my computer for 40,000 years without stopping, that would be my prerogative).
  6. LOL...so true, but quick search found: mulletsgalore.com ratemymullet.com mulletmadness.com ilovemullets.com mullets.net sweetmullets.net There seems to be an obsession with them.
  7. rat-tails..? http://www.mulletjunky.com/rattail.htm
  8. Mullets are ridiculous...but Rat-tails on the other hand....LOL Seriously, I've seen (3) kids recently with Rat-tails...never thought those would come back (mind you the kids wearing them didn't appear to be on the cutting edge of fashion...more like their parents were stuck in early 80's and made their kids look that way too)

I think CBS needs more crime dramas
  10. Maybe for you. This year (sophmore year) Im taking AP european history (hailed as the most difficult history class the school offers), Pre-Ap everything else, except astronomy, which I hear is actually a fun course. But at leats my history class is going to destroy any emotion i have left in me and turn me into a zombie. :uhh: . But not to worry. freshman year was incredibly easy. . I took several AP classes also, including math and computer science. Sure it can involve a bit of studying, still doesn't compare to the "the real world" (i.e. - working day in and day out until retirement, with no 3-month summer vacations and 3-week chirstmas breaks). The only things that sucks about high school is still be under parent's roof.
  11. High school is potentially the easiest and most fun time of your life! Enjoy it while you're there, cuz it'll be over before you know it.
  12. Machete'ing an acre of land would take forever and I especially wouldn't want to tackle it if there's poison ivy/oak. If you outside city limits, you can probably do a control burn (depends on where you live). Check with fire department for burn days and rules. I've had good success with a very strong spray (my friend owns a xmas tree farm, so he has access to chemicals you have to have license for). I believe the main ingredient he uses tho, is crossbow. Good spray is the only thing that will also kill the roots. The tractor machine or whatever is probably the easiest method of removing. I continually fight blackberry vines on my land (I have 1.1 acre). Those things are evil!
  13. I'm not glad you spelled sorry sry. Gah! ok...
  14. I'm just glad you didn't pluralize "drawer" in title (sry, I couldn't help myself)

Whoa, I heard that game was pretty lousy...Can you give me some detail? Why you liked it? I wanted to get it, but there have been terrible reviews ever since it came out... But ya, Golden sun 1+2 are awesome, plus the chain of memories: Kingdom Hearts, yes I know I said it backwards. Well, I've always seen it as well reviewed...gamespot.com ranks it as 9.1 (fairly high rank for them). As for why I liked it...the graphics are kind of in the style of "Link to a Past", which is definitely one of my favorite zeldas. If you do the "side" quests, the length of play is good (main storyline might be a bit on short side for zeldas, but still better than most games). I thought the storyline was prett[/u]y original and has a whimsical feel. I thought the idea of switch from "full-size" Link to "mini" Link was a nice addition...basically you visit the main areas of the game twice (kinda like Link vs. 'wolf' Link in Twilight Princess). Without game guides or walkthrus, the puzzles are fairly challenging.

    - Advance Wars 1 & 2 (my favs for GBA...have probably played each 100+ hrs) - Zelda Minish Cap (fantastic zelda game) - Golden Sun: Lost Age (great, original RPG) - Baldurs Gate Dark Alliance (pretty fun RPG) - Harvest Moon: Firends of Mineral Town
  17. Well, it's where the term originated...it's where the definition of "hardcore" comes from, so there must be something to it, eh? LOL
  18. I can push out my shoulder blade, so that it looks like I have a hunchback.
  19. Oh! well, that clears it up...ROFL
  20. Waiting!?!? Are you kidding me...it's like one of the funniest movies ever! Maybe you have to have worked in a restaurant to get it. Definitely in my top 10 comedies.
  21. Haven't seen the DVD, but I have seen them "live at the Palladium"...1992 Generator tour. To this day, no other show even comes close to comparing to that one!
  22. I think he meant to link this: Other HC thread
  23. I don't think you can call fugazi that much of a 'founding' hardcore band. Sure, mackaye was present, but he had another band before that, as well as minor threat. Also, check out black flag if you haven't already, their one of the founding bands. Agreed...Fugazi came after HC had been established, while not a "founding" band, still pretty "old-school". hehe...I know BF well, Bill Stevenson is a punk rock god and currently producing/engineering the best albums out there.
  24. I disagree, but that makes me think of Clerks 2, which makes me laugh. "Those hobbit movies were so boring. 3 movies about a bunch of people walking to a [bleep]ing volcano. Even the trees walked in those [bleep]ing movies!"
