Favorite WWII movies
Every time my wife and I finish BoB episode #10, we say "ok, ready to start the 1st one again?". Half joking / half-serious :) Absolutely amazing series, even the music is great (I have the soundtrack and sometimes play it at work just for the hell of it).

What movie(s) did you last see?
Knocked Up - Saw it last night...very funny. It had a great cast, with lots of familiar faces. It's definitely an adult comedy.

Impossible! Grrr ;)
OMG, I nearly fell out of the chair with that one... I laughed so hard. Didn't he spot it in the reflection of a puddle or something? lol Thank god that crane was there and some thoughtful person had stacked the crates up just so... Exactly...saw reflection in puddle...movie is absolutely horrible. There was also the scene where he jumps the car from one building to another (the 2nd is under construction or something). The car just happens to land on one of the floors rather than slamming into a column or the side of the floor slab...like he planned to land exactly where he did.

Impossible! Grrr ;)
That entire movie is a travesty! Especially to the original TV series.

Impossible! Grrr ;)
Transporter 2 - Sees bomb on underside of car, drives fast, launches off a ramp rolling the car upside down in mid-air towards a hook hanging off a crane and scrapes the bomb off right before it explodes! Mission Impossible (2?) - While riding on motorcycle, hits front brakes to get bike in "reverse-wheelie" (we always called em "indos"), spins bike while still in "indo" all the while firing 2 uzi's (and of course shooting accurately).

What movie(s) did you last see?
Apocalypto - 2nd time watching it..what a fantastic film! I really can't believe it didn't get the acclaim it deserved. I love how within the first few minutes you are immediately able to associate with the main characters (even tho they lived ~500 years ago)...some things just don't change. Once it really gets going, it's pretty much non-stop action the rest of the way. It is subtitled, but really there is very limited need for dialogue, especially towards the end of the movie. Be warned there is an ample amount of violence/gore (imo, it's all necessary and comes across to me as realistic). There's a lot of undertones of philosphy throughout the movie, which I think certain viewers would appreciate, unfortunately those same viewers might be turned off by the violence. I think that's maybe why it didn't do as well as it should have.

Reality TV show for Kidney
I personally don't see what the outcry is about. Why shouldn't she be allowed to decide who gets her organs? And if she wants someone else (i.e. - the viewing audience) to make the decision, so be it. Everyone involved is doing so voluntarily and I'm sure her family and the "contestants'" families will get paid decently for participating. Sure, the idea of making it into a reality show is bizarre, but I hardly think it's something to get so fired up about. Honestly, if the show bothers you, don't watch...it's not likely to affect you in any way.

The worst sequals ever made
Too over the top?!?! All the Die hards are completely "over the top"...they are supposed to be! BTW - I agree with Indy...#1, #3, #2 Here's some bad sequels (note: doesn't mean the previous was necessarily good, just that the sequel is worse): Teen Wolf Too Legally Blonde 2 The Next Karate Kid Revenge of Nerds 2 Dumb and Dumberer Speed 2 Weekend at Bernies 2 Batman and Robin The Whole Ten Yards Blues Brothers 2000

American Idol
You really should look for similar threads before creating a new one. There's an "American Idol" thread with 3 pages of posts...no need for this one. Plus, for Naruto, there is an "anime" thread and another thread with Naruto in the title.

Movies that deserve sequels
Was there a 2, 3, & 4?...LOL I think we're ready...could be good with a strong cast They actually had one in the works a few years ago, but it got canned. I believe it was going to be an adventure involving their kids. Spielberg was apparently on board, but WB wasn't (they are copyright holder). meh

Heroes.
A great series overall, but I too was a bit disappointed in the finale (I think they should have combined the last 2 for the finale...would have been a little more satisfying that way, imo). I thought the final scene was a bit anti-climatic. I didn't really care for the way Hiro "killed" Sylar, by tele'ing in 12 feet away and running Sylar through with the sword. Sylar had been so hard to kill before, that just seemed unlikely. I would have much rather seen Hiro and Sylar actually fight or Hiro to kill him before Sylar even saw him coming. That would have been much more believable. Just like the whole series, there's a lot of specualtion: like who's dead and who's not. Really, you can make a case that every single character that appeared to die is still alive. For example, maybe Nathan flew Peter into atmosphere, let go, flew out of explosion's range, flew back in to get Peter (who can survive blast cuz of Claire's power) and they both return safely. I don't think so personally, but it's possible. I like the inference to next season's "bad guy" by Molly, when she mention the "really bad guy" who can see her when she tries to locate him. Sets up well for a villian who cannot be defeated in the same way, since she can't use her power to find him.
