  1. You don't know where those tentacles have been
  2. 30.000 registration forms have been ordered since the show aired. Guess it takes a TV show to do what millions of euros wasted on pointless ad campaigns and half-measures can't.
  3. The older ones were so bad it hurts. They got by on gore factor alone. Without the fatalities and massive bleeding, I doubt the first one would ever have gotten a sequel.
  4. k, finally got a chance to listen to it, and the three short samples of the new album that came with it. The voice is a pretty big change, and I really doubt if it's for the better. It's pretty weak. The song itself was a balad that was, all things considered, pretty average for their standards. The other samples (Amaranth, Seven Days to the Wolves, Master Passion Greed) were pretty interesting, but nothing as mindblowing as the Once samples. One thing I noticed is that they were using a lot more male vocals, although that may have just been the samples they have picked. Not sold on the new album though. The audio samples can be found here.
  5. Not really, especially compared to Backlash. The only good match was the tag title match. Other than that nothing rose above average, and three matches were flat-out terrible.
  6. I own a CD-I player with the Legend of Zelda stuff released for that... haven't been able to muck through it for longer than 30 minutes at a time, so still unfinished.
  7. I miss the Toreador :( It's pretty hard to answer. Anything from Baldur's Gate II to Final Fantasy VI to Diablo II really.
  8. I wouldn't mind seeing a sequel to Dr. Strangelove, where they try to survive according to the plan cooked up in the War Room while they waited for the bomb to go off.
  9. MVP's gonna win... Benoit is coming to the end of his careerNot really. He's just back of a few months of vacation to recover from some nagging health problems so he's pretty fit at the moment. Due to the current wave of injuries, he needs to move up the card, and he can't do that as long as he holds the US title. While he goes after Edge and the world heavyweight championship, they can use the US title to push MVP, who's one of the rising stars of SmackDown!. Oh, and Cena isn't going to lose the title as long as women and children continue to cheer for him and buy his merchandise. He's like Hogan in the late 80s/early 90s, where they're constantly bringing in monsters to challenge for the title, only to pull off miracle victories. First Umaga, now Khali, and probably Snitsky next. As for the rest of the matches: - There's no way Edge is going to lose the title. If they wanted Batista as the champion they'd have let him win the cage match in stead of pulling off the whole switch with the Money in the Bank contract. - ECW One Night Stand is the next PPV, so I wouldn't be surprised if McMahon retains here for the blowoff for the fued on that PPV. - Elijah Burke vs. CM Punk could be a great match. Again, the outcome really depends on their plans for the next PPV. - Shawn Michaels vs. Randy Orton is kinda tricky to call. Orton recently caused $30.000 of damages when he trashed a hotel room because he was being sent home from the European tour, so he'll probably be punished in the ring, as he still hasn't been suspended. However, Shawn has nagging knee problems so he might have to take a break soon. Having Orton 'injure' him here could help his Legend Killer gimmick, especially since he's pretty much in line for top heel of RAW with Edge out of the picture. - Carlito will probably beat Ric Flair here. They'll be feuding for a while, and the best way to keep a feud interesting is a few heel wins before the face gets his revenge.
  10. Meh, really not looking forward to this PPV. The only match that has actual potential is Crhis Benoit vs. MVP, 2/3 falls for the US title.
  11. I really wonder why they didn't bring SC3 to the cube. 2 did great on that console.
  12. I'd try working an angle where you calculate the price of buying four houses or a hotel on various squares distributed evenly among the board, and how often an opponent would have to land on that square to break even on either investment, and go from there.
  13. I'll watch it for Apocalyptica in the halftime show.
  14. I'd consider watching the movies if they stuck to the actual plot of the game. If they did that, I might watch the movies for Resident Evil 1 (with Lisa Trevor) and Resident Evil: Code Veronica.
  15. Anyone watch last night's SmackDown!? Most people already knew what was coming because they anounced it on the site and on ECW this week, but still, a pretty clear sign of how long the injury list there is right now. Four main eventers out with injuries (although luckily Mr. Kennedy won't be out for as long as they originally expected). They must've been in full-on panic mode since last weekend.
  16. Bananas Foster The only dessert you'll ever need to know how to make. So easy. Take 2-4 ripe (but not over-ripe) bananas and peel them. Slice them on the bias and set aside. Heat up 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter in a stainless steel skillet, until it bubbles and gives up its liquid. Saut̮̩̉̉ the bananas for a couple of minutes on fairly high heat... you want to encourage a bit of browning. Add a tablespoon or two of brown sugar, and another pat of butter. You want to basically have some bananas swimming in a greasy, sugary, carmelized mess. Add a 1/4 cup of creme de banana and 1/4 cup of dark rum (you could use spiced rum too... no prob) and flamb̮̩̉̉ with a BBQ lighter, or on your gas range. When the flames have died down, you should have a dark, syrupy sweet gravy for the bananas. Add 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon. (note: I know this recipe uses alcohol, butlike regular cooking, the flamb̮̩̉̉ will mean that there's no alcohol in the end product for those of you that are fussy about that. You need the alcohol for the flamb̮̩̉̉, the recipe won't work without it).
  17. Ok, first of all it's simply impossible to get drunk of using wine in any kind of cooking. It has a really low temperature where it starts to evaporate (about 78 degrees celsius if I recall correctly), which means that alcohol simply gets cooked out. Anyway, here's some bachelor cooking for you: Fishstick pie: Ingredients: Instant mashed potatoe mix Fishsticks Grated cheese Onions Tomatoes (all quantities depend on size of baking tin used) Prepare the mashed potatoes and fishsticks like you normally would. Next, get out your baking tin out. Use a bit of oil or butter to grease it up so that your pie won't stick. Next, apply a layer of about 1cm of mashed potatoe along the bottom and sides of the tin. Cover the inside with the fishsticks, and layer thinly sliced tomatoes and diced onions on top of that. Cover with the rest of the mashed potatoes until you have a nice flat surface, then cover that with the grated cheese. Pop into a preheated oven at 200 degrees celsius and keep it in there until the edges begin to brown and the cheese begins to melt.
  18. Might as well keep this one alive now, since there's enough news to keep discussion going. Basically pandora.com is no longer licensed to stream music outside of the United States, so they're slowly pulling their service from all other countries. There are still ways to evade this, but it's illegal to talk about those under forum rules so I won't :-$
  19. Actually, something like that happened recently. If I recall correctly, Prince was giving a concert in Vegas when he noticed her in the crowd. He invited her up to the stage to sing for the people. She immediately turned bright red and politely declined.
  20. http://www.chrisjordan.com/current_set2 ... XXX_09NNN/ They're supposed to be even more mindblowing when seen in the actual exhibition. I could barely wrap my mind around the plastic bottle and plastic bag ones as it is.
  21. I doubt a month in a Scandinavian prison over tax issues can compare to years in an American prison for a child molester. ...anyway, my $0.02: 1) Besides being punished, criminials should also be rehabilitated, if possible, to become productive members of society. 2) The article states that circumstances are actually making it hard for parole officers to track these people. This means that the current situation is doing nothing to protect them from society. 3) The guys, even though they're convicted criminals, are still entitled to some basic rights. Would I want them living next to me if I had kids? Probably not. Would I want to shoot them on sight? Hell no.
  22. O...k... thanks for that aneurysm of a post GABAGABACHO. Is yoru schedule really so full you can't take the time to type out a three letter word? Sorry, just needed to get that of my chest. Here's something to cheer you up: http://spider-man3.ytmnd.com/
  23. I live in a student housing complex with a concrete football/basketball field in the courtyard. The football goals are made entirely out of solid steel pipes (to prevent vandalism). The walls of the houses are pretty thin, so whenever someone decides to kick a ball around at 4am I hear every goal they score. It doesn't help that my room is right outside the field. Luckily they're usually so drunk they can barely walk so they don't score all that much...
  24. Evil Peter Parker is far and away the most engaging portion of the film. The joke, which Macguire gets and plays to perfection, is that Peter Parker is incapable of really being evil because he̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s such a nerd. It̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s an expansion on a theme briefly looked at in Superman III, when Superman becomes ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¢â¬Åevil.̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâÃ
