The RuneScape Advent Calendar! [Updated 4th December]
Your going to run out of facts before Christmas.

Mechscape.
130 is too high, last time I checked (5 years ago, so don't quote me) the average IQ in the US was 92, I consider myself a relatively intelligent person and mine is barely above 130 (in a Government approved test)

26th November 2008 - Thanksgiving 2008 Event
It's been fixed. :( What you did was light a fire, and while your character was going through the animation, you clicked the emote button. He means turning into the shape of one of the killable turkeys, which has also been removed. You clicked the Easter egg ring and then the turkey emote before you turned into the egg and you became a large turkey until the emote time ran out.

Where are you, DMR mods? (lock please)
It's not acceptable to launch this and then go "Upps ... who's supposed to be running this again," someone should have thought of this before hand.

Creating the Dragon Platebody.
To make the plate do the opposite of what it's doing now: drop in price. That's the only way I see it. I don't see why Jagex would want to ruin the market for the reward (basically) of the hardest quest ever.

They're going to allow assisting and lower the level, why?

Why don't you respond to these posts yourself? Because the last thing that thread needs is another flame war, like the one that starts here.

Political and religious discussions
That is the problem, moderators can't be expected to read every single post and the staff can't rely on users combing through topics and reporting every third post when dealing with those kinds of posts is your job. The only effective way to get rid of the spam and the flame bait and make it easier for the mods to handle it is to rein in topics that have the unyielding potential to be "[...] disparaging toward any religion, race, nation, social status, gender, or sexual orientation [...]" Lets make a list of the topics in OT right now that I'd like to point out with examples: The Little Things That Bug You "1. You cannot, I repeat, CANNOT, be half one religion, half another, due to parents. Religions are beliefs, not genes." Thank you for your commentary Mr Author, not everyone adheres specifically to the ideas of one religion Christmas Controversies "Society is becoming more and more stupid these days." I don't celebrate Christmas and I wish people happy holidays, and that's how I'd like to be addressed, am I dumb? Reveal Confessions & Secrets I look at pornz? :^o *whistles* /n Oh wait.. so does every othe person I've ever met Creepy spam? Teenager commits suicide on webcam I call parenting fail. :wall: Turning 18 No quote here because the entire thread is full of people admitting to a range of nefariously illegal activities It's that kind of crap that makes the mods lives a living hell (or should if the mods every looked at any of the topics) and makes OT an awful place to have to endure.

Jagex patched the glitch where the cook's brother and the spy-able turkey's kept disappearing without bringing the servers down, unfortunately this seams to have caused hundreds of turkey's to spawn at each location. It literally looks like an invasion.

I can confirm that turkey spying is still down on some worlds, but it seams to be working on world 141.

New Quest XP reward -- don't read if you don't want to know.
Doesn't the skill have to be above level 65 or higher?

Where are you, DMR mods? (lock please)
The DMR mod is supposedly Promise, he last logged in today so I don't see why the rankings haven't been updated, the clan mods Dbzruler72 and Loge_05 (Loge is currently away) have been known to help out some, if there's something specific you might try PMing them but I wouldn't expect a speedy reply from any of them.

The cornucopia and the turkey emote are the reward for spying on the 10 turkeys or a random reward for killing a turkey, if you have both the cornucopia and the emote the event is over for you.

The Corruption - A History (warning long post)
Very nice what you have so far, you've almost told it like a story, very good. Two things, removing the "s from the link tags might make them work a tad better, and http://www.avidgamers.com/corruptionclan returns a 404 page.

Tip.It Times Presents: Double Feature!
I can relate to the first article but don't agree at all, the second one was nice, never thought of updates that way.

WARNING: scam site will steal your account [UPDATE]
As far as I can tell there aren't any keyloggers, so as long as you don't put your login details into the fake login box you should be fine.

WARNING: scam site will steal your account [UPDATE]
Your assuming he's loging in to the account he's stealing and not selling them or given them away. Your also assuming he's loging in from his home computer and not from a library/school/internet cafe or anything else that has computers and internet.

WARNING: scam site will steal your account [UPDATE]
How would they know where he lives? And do you know how complicated it would be to sue then if they don't live in the UK, especially since Jagex's game servers are hosted in so many different countries.

Weekly Poll: Tip.It Times? (Special Discussion)
Not relevant to the topic but, It showed the message because it was an incorrect string, the pronunciation probably had special characters which the forum is supposed to deny.

Weekly Poll: Tip.It Times? (Special Discussion)
First of the "Letters to the Editor" need to go, they never were that interesting and I'd much rather see such reactions in the article thread instead of published above everyone else's like it should be my opinion. The Times has lost it's appeal since the editor left for several reasons, knowing the author ruins my perceptions of the articles and is really only there for posterity, it's also hard to look at the article objectively after you see someone's name. Speaking of objectivity you've gone and blown it, the Tip.It Times used to be objective and thought out but the articles have become increasingly biased and opinionated to the point where it feels like the author is preaching propaganda to people who are perfectly qualified to come up with their own opinions if you simply gave us the facts. It also seams like the Times is less diverse in it's articles now, focusing on topics the authors have opinions about (And once again only telling us their opinions).

Tip.It Times Presents: Completing the Triangle
Let it be known I said that when they released letters to the editor.
