  1. We got some basic first aid training through school. I can't say I remember all of it, but I know enough to get me through most situations.
  2. Do some quick Google searches on lawsuits. I can assure you, you'll find some lawsuits that should never have been won (or filed).
  3. If you want to kill me, I suggest fearing me. My pet doesn't do a whole lot of damage, he's just nice to daze anyone who runs at me while getting attacked (and maybe take damage from anyone dumb enough to hit him) but I just sit back and pray for some crits ;)
  4. On one hand, I can see where they would be angry. Microsoft SHOULD have known that there was going to be an increase in players and SHOULD have taken the precautions to deal with it. On the other hand, there are so many other things to do. If they have the time to take out a lawsuit over this, they have time to wait to connect to their favorite game. It's getting to be terrible the things people will sue others over. Can't we go back to the days when fist fights didn't end in court dates and hot coffee spills didn't lead to six figure or more winnings?
  5. So what some random 15 year old on facebook thinks represents the way the rest of the world view gay people? I don't think so. Considering a 15 year old is probably still thinking about topics such as this in roughly the same way their parents taught them -or how society is influencing them-, then yes, I do think they represent the way many people think about this topic. Could you explain to me how it's immature? Would you rather me call it harassment? Or is there another word you find more suitable for the matter at hand? Honestly, no offense intended. I'm dead serious, what would you rather me call it?
  6. Wow, you guys can eat a lot.. I can barely eat half a medium pizza then I need someone to finish the rest :-w
  7. I never really thought gay bashing was too big of a problem. Maybe I just ignored it, blocked it out, didn't want to think it really happened. But I was on Facebook today and I found this on a pro gay/bi group wall: "my boyfriend is bi-sexual, and he gets like made fun of a lot, like people wont take the food he offers them because hes bi. people make fun of me too. I mean its not like he likes every guy hes sees he has a girlfriend so its not like he has a crush on all the guys. And i hate the term [bleep], its completly rude. The proper term is gay, and it should not be used to call someone as a mean name" That girl's boyfriend, is a very close friend of mine. It wasn't but a month ago that I found out he was bi and it hasn't changed a single thing between us. But here's a shocker, I'm bisexual as well. TIF, you're the second person I've come out to. I've only told 1 friend irl, and things like this make me want to keep it a secret even longer. After reading this I decided to look into how many pro/anti GLBT groups were on Facebook alone. Of course, there were a lot. Here's a quick list of the ones that grabbed my attention and the number of members. Anti- God Made Adam and Eve, Not Adam and Steve! - 100+ members Gay Marriage Kill The Dinsaurs - 27k+ members MANY duplicate groups, each with 1k+ members ANTI-Gay Marriage - 5k+ members Pro- Allow Gay Marriage - 8k+ members Gay Pride - 3k+ members Against Gay Marriage? Then Shut The F* Up and Don't Get One - Multiple groups combined = 60k+ Now we know the anti GLBT groups are made up of straight people against gays, but the gay groups are gay and straight people who support them. It really amazed me to see there were so many people against gays. I know a guy who is pretty religious and I noticed he posted in one of the groups addressing the gay bashers who brought religion into the arguement. This is a clip of what he wrote (addressing the main point): "in the Bible it clearly states that God is without flaw and does not make mistakes,Also he says or so it states in the Bible do not decline any one person for he may be different in his way and belifes but he is of the same image of god." Now, in my eyes, everyone who is using religion against gays is going against religion in the first place. Supposing they don't use religion in their arguement, isn't what they're saying just prejudice? Considering my opinion is clear, what's your stance on GLBTs? Let's all be mature about this conversation please
  8. I totally agree. When he was talking to his son/ex-wife before he died..
  9. I wouldn't put The Killers on my my favorites list, but I will say they're a good band. I enjoy most of their songs and they tend to play quite a bit when I put my Zune software on shuffle.
  10. I've always said I would never play WoW. But a while ago I got bored of Shadowbane so I left my town to rot (or get baned) and since nothing else looked remotely fun, I decided to give WoW another shot. I haven't been playing long but I'm working on a DPS spec orc hunter who is currently lvl 32. I honestly love this character. PvP is easy with him. I was in Desolace earlier and I saw 2 guy on my track. A 33 warlock and a 39 mage. I took the warlock out no problem and I got the mage down before he got more than 3 spells off. I was going to do the battlegrounds a bunch at lvl 29 but I got caught up in lvling and hit 30 before I remembered  Anyways if anyone else plays Akama on the Horde you can usually find me running around. My name is Children and I'll toss you a guild invite to if you want. If you play ally, I'll be looking for you
  11. I always try to read at least the first and last page. Sometimes I skim through other pages and then I look for certain users, avatars that catch my eye, and pictures. Pictures always seem to get me :-k
  12. I know it was a while back, but do you remember that suggestion that went something like: Ask ____ to do something (ie movies, etc). Hopefully they'll ask if you mean like a date. Then you tell them if they want it to be. If they say no, you can easily play it off. If they say yes, you just got a date and they feel like it was their idea. Maybe I butchered it but it all works in my head and I liked it when I saw the original post :P
  13. When I wore glasses they effected me a little.. I was more careful with what I did because I NEEDED them to see and I didn't want to break them. I was always taking a moment to clean them so I could see easily again and stuff like that. And yeah, I was labeled as a geek. But I got contacts and they're amazing. Labeled as a geek? Not anymore. Nobody even knows I need glasses unless they get up close and look carefully at my eyes. I don't have to clean glasses or be careful with what I do anymore. Life is 10x better with contacts than glasses imo.
  14. Sometimes I gotta lose my head and flip out on someone :P
  15. It might be offensive but they take a stab at nearly everyone. That being said I think everyone need to lighten up and laugh once in a while. Family Guy is definitly one of my favorite shows :D
  16. Hopefully I can get a point through to the OP and anyone who is thinking of making another "I hate [insert band name]" thread.. If you DON'T like the band, DON'T listen to them. DON'T come here to whine about how much you HATE them. EXPECT to get flamed by fans. Plain and simple. You COULD just ignore the fact that they exist, but YOU feel the need to come here and whine. There's artists I'm not a big fan of but you don't see threads about all of them, right?
  17. I didn't mind the jokes online, but when someone decides to compile them all, put them in the form of a book, and try to make money off them.. Then they've just gone too far. I have a lot of respect for Chuck Norris and I agree with him sueing over this. Not only for the things that are negative, but just the fact that probably everything in that book was made up by someone else and posted somewhere online.

Around the 4th of July I love to shoot of fireworks. Ok, the only things that are legal here and sparklers and snakes so we gotta go across the border to get the good stuff.. And the cops living across the street never bother us and they join in occasionally :)
  19. Then .. become preppy? That's what I did. Now I have a hot preppy girlfriend. Yay? All you have to do is dress preppy, play sports, and get people to know who you are. Driving a nice car is a plus and not doing anything overly nerdy like LARPing (for anyone who's into that) will definitly help you out..

Well it was raining, and dark so they told me that I simply misjudged the turn, but I know that I didn't as I've made the same turn multiple times, same conditions, and i've never had this. The guy was blatantly speeding. Take it to a judge or something is my guess. You should be able to prove that it wasn't your fault and that he was breaking the law. What's the driver of the other car saying at this point? Of course he's siding with the police, "he's just an 18 year old kid, he was driving wrecklessly, it was completley his fault I tried to stop". My argument is, YOU SIR were on a cell phone, I saw you. And you sir, didn't try to stop, wheres the skid marks? Oh, yeah, there is none. And you sir, wouldn't have done the damage that you did going 40-45. But this has been a bad day, im going to bed. Back hurts severely, so ill check back in the morning. As mentioned, I'd take him to court on it. And if your gf's parents can't accept the fact that you're sorry and take you up on your offer to repay them for the car, there's nothing more you can do. They shouldn't think you owe them a Corvette or something because some guys hit you.. Now time for a little rant.. I hate how everyone thinks that because it's statistically proven that younger drivers are more hazardous than mature driver, everyone thinks then can pin the mistakes off on the kid. I've seen too many idiots who are in their 30's+ on their cell phones and not even relise they ran a red light or that they're doing 20 over the speed limit. We might be inexperienced, but not every teen driver is a hazard nor should they instantly be at fault in an accident.
  21. Honestly, I've never had any luck learning a language from a website. I've always found being in a classroom is the best way. I've taken enough spanish to get me through a visit to Mexico, I'm taking my first year of French atm and it's going well, and because I'm taking karate (tang soo do) I have to learn Korean; fortunately it's spoken a lot in class so it's fairly easy to pick up. If you really want to learn Japanese, I'm sure a local college offers a course. I know there's a college in my city that allows high school students to attend classes and my school will even pay if the class isn't offered through them.
  22. This pic is about 5 months old but it's the latest one of me I have.. My hair was long, I was a little flabby, and I was sunburnt  Glad TIF has taken away the no RL pics rule.
  23. But you wouldn't love doing it as a permanent day-job, at the low wages that people have come to expect from all the years of immigrant workers. Honestly, if my plans for the future don't work out I figured I'll go into construction..
  24. /sad Lol why would you do such a thing? :P
  25. Of course there are legal ways, but the number of people and the types of people allowed to use those legal ways have been greatly narrowed in the past 50 years. It all comes down to whether you think immigrants are causing a population problem, or whether a population problem even exists. I wouldn't say the population is a problem. In my eyes it more or less what I stated above and the idea of our current unemployment rates and the families who -even if they'd rather not do it- could use those jobs -currently held by illegal immigrants- to feed their families. haha send all the unemployed "legal citizens" to tend to lawns for a living or do the framework for construction or anyother part other than a management type job when it comes to construction. u cant and u wont because Americans are too damn stubborn. I love doing yard work and framing for construction.. Guess I might as well become a Mexican citizen and sneak back into the US, eh?
