I've been crafting alot of snakeskin armour and its not alot of trouble.

Yeah.. they're not 25k. You can get the snakeskins easily in about five minutes on Mos'Le Harmless.

Whether it serves as a good replacement or not depends on the variety of quests you have done to access each of them. If you have not done cabin fever, just stick to frog boots, otherwise go for snakeskin IMO

Its a nice alternative for pures, since i belive that snakeskin boots need 30 def.

well snakskin is hard to obtain but there isent much of a market for this stuff

I'm fairly sure the boots require 20 defense and 20 ranged.

 

 

 

However, it'd be better to spend the extra 5k on snakeskin boots, because if you're training for a long time it might affect the damage:broken arrow ratio, saving you money. :-k

I recently got a rune kite for a pair of snakeskin boots (no i didnt scam), which i sold for 55k, so they are either expensive or seen as very hard to make.

yep.took me ages to find a seller of snakeskin boots because theyres just so rare.the hides are difficult to obtain in bulk and noone sells them .

 

 

 

i spent 25k on a pair for alvl 2 clue scroll only to find a pair of green d hide chaps waiting for me.oh well #-o

eh, i bought two pairs of snakeskin boots for about 6k ea, which is cheap if you figure it this way,

 

 

 

ranger boots: +8 range att, 2mil+

 

 

 

snake boots: +3 range att, 6k... so you get 3/8th the bonus for 1/333rd the price. ill take the snakeskin boots please. and yes i can afford a ranger set. its just that in my opinion, if you can get something that works almost as well for a fraction of the cost, why waste money?

Eh... the only thing worth making out of snakeskin is chaps anyway (for clues). I range in boots of lightness usually, with full black d hide and archer helm. And yes, i can afford a ranger set, i just choose not to waste 5m+ on such a small bonus.

Or, we could realize that tiny differences in ranged bonus aren't really noticeable, and the only reason we buy the expenisve ranger sets are just because they exist.
