Myths of the Near Future by the Klaxons. It's a cracking album, lots of great songs to sing along to or put you in a good mood.

 

 

 

Neon Bible by the Arcade Fire. I know these guys are hyped a lot, but I really do think this is a great album with some great songs.

Zita Swoon - Big City (Not one of the best albums this year by far, but still a great release, especially with the good weather coming up. ;) And a little attention won't harm)

 

 

 

And I think the best album so far is Arcade Fire - Neon Bible, and the best track of the album would be Black Wave (huuu, what an amazing song)

Hm... don't know right now but I'll bet that it could be possible the album Metallica's recording right now to release this year OR next year.

I haven't really heard anything that blows me away yet, but there's a new Genitorturers album and a new Haggard album planned for this year that I can't wait for. My biggest dissapointment so far is Therion - Gothic Kaballah -.-

Damn I can't think of anything for 2007... I was going to say Blind Guardians 'twist in the myth' but that was 2006 >_<.

Their debyt album and it for sure sounds better than any other debyt album has sounded for few years. If miracles don't happen, we'll hear about them in future.

It's too early, hip-hop (as usual) has only be getting garbage from the rappers who just come and go.

 

 

 

The best album in my eyes will be Dr. Dre's The Detox (or possibly Eminem's next album). As for best song, I'm not quite sure. :-k ...

Mika's "Grace Kelly" for song, album is Year Zero by Nine Inch Nails (not actually out over here in Britain now, but I've heard it and it rocks)

Well in my opinion, nothing good has come out of modern music. Everything is a huge gimmick and mostly nonense. The late 50s however presented musicians with distinct voices and catchy songs.

Hell yes, Klaxons are mad, their lyrics make no sense but that adds to the greatness

Hah! I was thinking after listening to it that it's their weakest album so far. Well, maybe it needs more listens to sink in but I'm pretty sure most songs are nowhere near as complex and melodic than some of their older ones. The only songs that I liked on the spot were Caleb and For the sake of revenge. Also: flower metal?... Not sure I wanna know what you mean by that. : P

 

 

 

This puts me in mind of the new Nightwish album that's soon to be released (in May). That's certainly gonna be one of the biggest surprises of 2007, pleasant or unpleasant, that remains to be seen. : P

Every generation has ALOT of bad musicians. *cough*grateful dead*cough* But the mid 60s and the 80s were arguably the best. Most of which was because they created most of the styles of rock/brought it to the U.S. (Beatles fw! :XD: ).

 

 

 

But as for my vote, I have none. I's far too early and nothing great has really come out tbh .
