theidiot11
No, you got it all wrong. Giving free items to new players is always fun. Even if the person isnt new. In fact, just the other day i went on a behemoth of an expedition to give away free items. I went to the duel arena, and found my target. A level 87 behemoth. I was level 86. I challenged him to a duel, and he staked up 1,000 golden coins. I staked up my spare ring of wealth and accepted to no rules. I won this battle, but he asked me very kindly to go again. So I did. This time he beat me! He was so happy that he won. When i realized how fun this was, I put up a dragon longsword to his 500 golden coins! I won this battle, but went again twice more and I lost! I told him if we staked again, I would put up two granite mauls and another dragon long. I decided to mess with him and mage him a bit. I ended up winning about five more games before using a bronze pickaxe to lose. He was so happy, he told me he wanted to kiss me, even though I am a guy too. I then dropped my glory, but a level 90 took it before he could! So to make it up too him, I asked if he had 1,000,000 coins! He said no. I told him, "Too bad, I was going to sell you my whip for 1m!" He told me to wait, teleported to his friend, borrowed 1,000,000 coins, and bought my whip for it! He was so happy! I had just given him much more than he could have made on his own. It was a great day! We both ended up being happy!

xvillexvalox
While training on my pure I was talking with someone new I met, and he traded me 200 iron arrows for free saying I needed them more than he did, I accepted but I planned on getting something for him to, since he thought I was a newbie like he was. I logged out and switced accounts, I had alot of rune stuff left over from treasure trails and slayer, I gave him a rune med helm, rune hatchet, rune pick, rune kite, rune scimi, and a rune warhammer. Once I'm back on my pure he asked me for his arrows back and whenever I'm on my main he asks for more free stuff. Thank Saradomin for the ignore list. Roberthree
I do that. I do that to clear my inventory after I upgrade. I don't do it in mass quanities, thats asking for trouble. I just say "Free Weapons" near a bank and give away stuff. And if they still follow you, say "Sorry, I gave it all away".
baalboy5
LOL I had a story were I was at a drop party and a dude 30 levels under me droped full rune mystic and stuff. I have 5 rune plates so I gave back his rune plate he droped, and got it back at the drop party, along with an extra pare of rune legs a rune bucket and a uncut d stone. I gave back what I didn't need cause I'm a high level and hes a low level. I even gave the spare mystic boots to a begger Don't you know the first rule of MMO's? Anyone higher level than you has no life, and anyone lower than you is a noob. People in OT eat glass when they are bored.
naimo
It seems that all of you are complaining about these "noobs." Well let me tell you something. A while back there was a game called Runescape Classic. A wonderful little game with wonderful people. It went along fine until Jagex announced Runescape 2. *gasp* A new Runescape? Wow! That's when the decline of nice "noobs" started. Jagex started making things too easy for new players. Easy to get rare items, easy to get a mountain of cash, easy to level up skills, etc. And with the inclusion of new skills, it gave them an even easier time. Doesn't seem that bad, does it? Well with big changes in the game comes big changes in the community. People became greedier, more selfish, trying to scam people for a piece of paper you wear on your head, etc. So think about this the next time you come across a "noob" like that. They didn't make the changes, they just play the game.

I was pking once and I killed this guy that didn't even carry any food :S how could I know, so then he pmed me saying thanks for ruining my clue, I asked which lvl it was (lvl 2) and let him pick 2 items out of a wide range of clue scroll rewards I had stashed in my bank hard to sell anyways :P^So he was happy for a sec and then started asking for more clue items... When I told him how impolite he was being he stopped though, even though I don't remember ever talking to him again. and naimo I'm not saying it is their fault, but sadly enough they ARE the ones acting this way and thereby ruining this game for so many others :( call it jagex fault for the changes or for announcing on miniclip, but they are the ones actually being such idiots ingame. ohw and baalboy, whats a rune bucket? I'm Finally 99 mage ^^ (and cooking...) :PSilver24-7 -
Harrington
I used to enjoy it until they started getting greedy. I gave one new start a free DDS in lumby basement, and he complained "got anything else? this won't get me a whip". Had various other comments not unlike the one above, so I don't give out free stuff anymore. Used to be fun, but greed has ruined it.
Plod2
I know what you mean, I tried to give a level 10 some flour for free but he insided in giving me loads of wheat that I didn't have room for. Some people don't know what 'free' means. It was good ages ago. I'd give a lvl 40 some free stuff, they'd add me, play for hours upon end and become lvl 100 then help me :P Click for blog!Watch great videos! http://uk.youtube.com/profile?user=plod64

Was so cool! Next day, I log in.. ''I lost my armour.. can i have another?'' **SIGH** ''no'' (3 more times) .. I' am like what happened here?! I try to help and they are not carefull ? JordanGen
Sometimes, I trade unneeded items to lower-levels as well, and it makes their day even though it might seem nothing to you or me. : However, I haven't given a lot of stuff away recently because 85% of all rs players that start up are probably gonna quit anyway, so that's why I'd rather trade items to friends I've known for a long time, or rl friends
