I don't think we need shop or city information. A lot of major fansites have that already, it takes very long to make and their are hardly used anyway.

Don't you think, then, that we SHOULD have these? Why would we want our users going to other fansites for this kind of information? If these things aren't useful, fine, but to not do them because other fansites already have them isn't a very good reason.

This is a bit competitive dont you think? Isn't the point of the fansite to provide relevant and useful information, so even if other sites have them why bother wasting time making them when they will be used by a select few and the time spent on making them could be used to produce more important things.

Competition should not come before the sites dedication to its already established and loyal members...

City guides would actually be rather helpful. If you include quest start points, mini-game locations etc. it may prove easier for people to find what they are looking for. Also, if historial information is included on the cities, it could make an interesting read. It may also be useful for a certain thread to do with investigating a certain NPC who lives in Draynor. :P

However, despite this, I think more monster hunting guides would be of more benefit to Tip.It users. There are what... three guides there? They are all brilliantly written of course, but that section is looking slightly empty. I'm not a Member, and never have been, but I can easily tell that more guides on the practice of monster hunting for wealth or whatever well help the majority of P2P monster hunters.

Sorry if that's the impression I gave, that's certainly not what I meant. Being competitive isn't what it's all about - it's about keeping our users HERE. If they have to visit another site to get something we don't have, then it means we're not providing as good a service as we could be. It's quite simple - we want to keep our members happy. Being in "competition" with other fansites really has nothing to do with it. If that were the case, we would have added lots of things they have to our site a long time ago. But our users didn't want those things, so we didn't.

i think city guides would be a great idea, and perhaps a market price guide at the moment i use three different sites, tip it of course, and two others for these things, to have it all on one site would be fantastic

sometimes there are days when i really want to hit you..... this is one of those days

I'm no member (yet) so monster hunting guides are not that useful to me..

My vote went to the NPC database, for the reason that i like the stories behind RS...And thus i like the stories and any other info bout NPC's.

Always wandered what lives in the mind of a Camel^^

Tho it would fit better on runescape then on fansites, because i believe the runescape site got much more to tell bout them..

We have no plans of ever developing a price guide or price database. More information here:

fab as having one would be, i completely get that a market price database is ridiculously evil to keep update... but hey wishful thinking right :D

maybe if the city guides were detailed enough you could combine the npc guide too?

ie welcome to varrock home to king roald blah blah blah history stuff ruling gods.... kinda like a tour guide if that makes sense

Monster hunting.

Dude, you're an idiot #-o
Dude, your feeble attempt at an insult is hilarious.

I don't don't if this would be a guide or a new topic in the forums.

I'd really like to know what worlds are used by players for certain purposes. Why are worlds 1-6 always full? Are they mechanting worlds? Are any other worlds used by certain groups on a regular basis? This information is useful if you are working for a certain skill or trying to buy/sell an item, or working on Temple building, etc.

I've never seen this information spelled out anywhere, just hints about it here and there.

i think we need more monster hunting guides

Well the poll has yet to appear for me (always does this) but my vote is going anywhere but city guides, I always found the damn things useless anyway.

From the options I've heard monster hunting sounds best.

i think jp_page_too has a good idea

i mean i know that worlds 1-6 are the market worlds on both f2p and p2p but what about a pc world? or a ba world? or the ever elusive blast furnace world??

a guide for that, or maybe just a list would be really helpful

Maybe under monster hunting there could be guides for any popularly trained on above level 150?

Your name is "bet you fail", and you're starting a business with your mom? I'm not even going to touch that.....

It would be awesome if Tip.It had it's own dynamic signatures and stat under banners like Draynor. That would cause allot more people to come here. But maybe you could appoint like a market database staff from forum members and we would have some way to update it, that would leave the regular staff to do there thing. I would defiantly help.

I voted Other, so here's what I'd like you to do:

A few months ago I was reading a topic on these forums about guides that you were planning on doing (some time in the future) and I saw a God Guide. I thought this would be really useful because, even though I've finished all the Quests, I think I suffer from short term memory loss and I remember little, if any, of the history and plot. In fact, whenever they come out with a new quest in a series, I always feel like I'm relearning what I did in the first because I can never remember.

Anyways, I think it would be cool if you could expand upon that idea a little and have a complete History of Runescape.

If you have no idea what I'm talking about, let me give you a few examples. I remember next to nothing about the elves, who's supposed "good" and "bad". With the Recipe for Disaster quest, I remember some sort of Dragon Fairy that "flambayed" your whatever-it-was when you killed the Black Dragon. And especially all the Desert history, their gods, their worshipers, ect. That's all very confusing!

I think this could end up being a very well-put together, frequently used, unique, and interesting guide if done correctly.

Being free to play...perhaps a monster hunting guide with both f2p and p2p monsters, with detailed analysis into drop rates, xp worth, best methods to kill, profit potential, other xp, etc?

I agree... I voted monster hunting guides, but I wish now I'd seen this before voting. Meh, at least the topic is getting noticed. And thanks to Kiara Kat for replying to my previous post.

IMO a shops database containing their location, what they stock and what you can sell at them would be a very useful addition to the site. This could prevent players spending more money on basic supplies than they need to. For example, I have seen on many occaisions people in Ardougne bank shouting "Buying rope" when the shop a short distance away sells them (I have even observed people running to the shop and then selling a rope to the unsuspecting buyer at an extortionate price). This is what I voted for.

One database that, IMO, would be a good addition to the site is an item drop rate. The Bestuary is helpful if you want to know what monster drops blood runes, but it is not much use if you don't know how often they drop blood runes. For example, if monster X drops blood runes in 10's and monster Y drops blood runes in 5's it might seem that killing monster X would yeild a greater amount of bloods, whereas, because, say monster Y is 3 times more likely to drop bloods, killing monster Y would be the better option.

I have been compiling a drop rate database for a while now (for my own use) and have found it very useful for identifying the best monster to kill for various items. For example the best monster to kill if you want Fire runes are the Flesh Crawlers in the Security Stronghold as they drop around 800 Fire runes per 100 kills and at level 28 it does not take that much time to kill 100.

I don't think we need shop or city information. A lot of major fansites have that already, it takes very long to make and their are hardly used anyway.

But I don't want to go to other fan sites, I want all my information in one place, preferrably here.

I would really like to see a drop calculator added for the more popular creatures to kill for training, so you type in the number of them that you plan on killing and if gives you the percent chance that you will get a drop, from <1% to >99% chance drop based on information added on the creatures.

I know it would be a hude project but I think such an awesome community like tip.it could pull it off and make it great.
