April 29, 200719 yr I always fish for my food and sell off extras. Almost 99 fishing though so soon I'll only fish/cook when I'm running low. I'll have a few thousand of each (lobs, monks & sharks) set for ahead though hopefully.
April 29, 200719 yr Yeah, I typically buy my food... always sharks. Recently however, I've found my stock of shark is being kept well balanced by treasure trails, as I tend to get cooked shark about 50% of the time for the reward.

I cook and then drop the tunas. I fish them though, usually lobsters. You're being watched.
May 3, 200719 yr Never buy, across my main, and an assortment of pures (mage, hybrid, steel, sceptre chasers), all have adequate fishing for their level. I generally only ever trade out stuff I can do, to buy things that will never be within my level (eg. rune weapons). I'd hate scrambling around to buy food for every combat. I generally cook and then store dump Tuna (10gp a piece is better than dropping, and it pays the fare), as I value my cooking levels as highly as my fishing levels.

May 3, 200719 yr LoOl, Well, I'm too impulsive to buy raw then cook. When I want something, I want it now. When I want to cook, I buy a bunch of raw and go cook till I get bored. Then I sell to get rid of whats left. If I wanna train, I just buy a big bunch of cooked. Then sell whats left. 2480+ total
May 3, 200719 yr Well, as a Member being. I once bought 3k trouts. (just 1900 left) just to heal when needed ever. Also, I use monkfishes which I couldn't fish (till now :twisted: ) So now I stopped buying my own food. With level 70 fishing in the pocket, I rarely bought my food. Just the monkfishes in members. and those silly trouts, which I have another 800 raw banked..
May 3, 200719 yr Except for a few hundred sharks, i have caught my own food since i was a little noob. Some people are like slinkies, normally they are dull, but they always give you a smile when you push them down a flight of stairs.

May 3, 200719 yr Before I had Guthans, I would catch and cook my own food. Only because I didnt have the money to buy food. I was a poor noob back than. But now I have Guthans so I dont need food on a regular basis anymore.
