give me a break! wats fun about burning logs till 99 fm? cut tons of logs till 99 wc? get through so many obstacle for 99 agil? mine millions of ores for 99 mining? maybe...some of the people would find it fun fishing or mining but when it comes to 99 it means you need a lot of those so its probably getting annoying at some point i mean i like thief but im only 66 thief what that means about me? it means i cant stand training same skill more and more and i know what im talking about when im saying 1 skill can realy annoy you coz for the last 2 months i've been trying to get 90 craft

Back in the day, getting a skill to 99 (i.e. past 80 or so) was a chore because quite frankly, noone would know you had it until they looked up your stats. The capes allow you to "show it off" in a sense, making getting skills to 99 more favorable.

umm im not jealous i can take few weeks and get an easy-to -train skill to 99 and if i dont want to lose any money i can even pick fletch and my friend already got 2 skill capes he said its not worth it and if it counts i got quest cape (i dont all quests not for the cape i just wanted to have acces every where and have everything quests can give me and some quests have good xp bonus etc) and about the herby you can get it over 82 for moeny or for your own pots of w/e but i dont think its worth to train it only for a cape unless you train it while getting pots of stuff like that

thats exactly what happends to me when i wear my qp cape! so many people ask for the emote its getting annoying and getting hard-to-train skill capes (e.g. agil) is something good but getting 99 in those with some many skill hunters is getting realy annoying i mean you cant walk around and not find someone with a cooking/fletching/fm cape its almost everywhere

back to the topic.. even though you don't find it fun to train your skills beyond what is "useful" other people might fin such things fun. Some people like to do some hard work, not only because the endless clicking during it makes it so "fun", but because the fealing of accomplishment(sp?) it gives when you are done with it...

 

 

 

i my self get bored easily, but still, i have a quest cape... it's probably not even half of them that is "useful" for me to have done, and only a few i feel is nessesary. but still, i like to do quests, and if a hard one comes out, and i get frustrated or irritated (liike in olafs quests. Heck, that bridge was really, really annoying) i still like it becuase i then have done all quests, and i have my cape back

if you have done a really great achievement, like 99 herblore, aren't you allowed to show the rest around you that you are proud of having the patience to finish such a slow, and (at last for me) pretty boring skill? or is it wrong? of cource, instantly going around telling everyone is not too good, but most people won't do that...

 

 

 

really, i think skillcapes was a really good update, as it's a good motivation for people to do every quest, or get a 99 skill, and show it to the others around you... if you don't think so, or think badly of those choosing to get an easier cape, like fletching... just think so, but saying that it's just stupid to get that cape, because it gives you nothing after level 85, or that skill won't help you enough compared to the effort. please keep it inside, as they play the game as they want to, and you play it your way...

You are not the only person in the world. Just because you can't stand some stats, there are loads of people that loves the skill in question. I love Mining and I find it fun to powertrain it, race myself to see how much xp I can get in an hour and get myself to the nice spots of 4,000,000xp and so on.

 

 

 

Getting a 99 and to wear the cape beause of the defence+prayer bonuses and to wear a cape that looks nice, either with a matching combination of clothes, or just with the outfits that suits you for the moment, is really nice and it gives a great feeling when you look at it.

 

 

 

Getting a 99 might allso be to get money to level up another skill that you love, or to buy that good outfit you need to DK'ing. (Example: Fletching, gives a few millions to get to 99, and its not to hard to do it either. Good moneymaker you have there). Why not wear the cape if you want then?

 

 

 

Dont get any 99 and dont wear any achievement-cape if you dont want to, but dont say people get it to brag. Sure, I've seen people getting 99's for an outfit, and I am not liking that to fully, but I dont complain about it.

 

Let people live the way they want to, and stop accusing people of braging just because they are weilding a cape that they like/love.

well, the main thing i tried to say, is that people have different views on things, and for me, if i was going to get a skill cape, then it would probably be cooking or one of the easy skills, as i really just don't have the patiense to for example, stay at ape atoll for months, et cetera.

 

there is no problem in getting a easier cape, even though many have it, if it's something you are proud of yourself...

 

 

 

and when it comes to looks, i could really get like firemaking cape or something just for the looks, as i feel it's worth it... but the capes isn't just for the looks and the emote, they are also to show that you actually got patiense enough to get 99 in a skill, and then, while showing that, why not just put that in a good outfit :P

 

 

 

anyways, a cape may not "be worth it" compared to the effort you use to get it, but really, nothing in the game is worth it if you just look wide enough on it. but still, if people like to get it.

 

 

 

so to answer your question, yes, i do think that a skill cape is worth it, for many different reasons, and why to do it, thats what i have said the last two posts...

 

 

 

one more thing, you can train a skill because you like it too.. thats much why i like to do castle wars, or just hanging around in edgeville, i don't get any (or very little) experience from it, but it's the things that I think makes it worthwhile to play the game... while others it may be to set up goals, easy or hard to get, just because they like to work with it.
