Declining price of nats?

Featured Replies

The bottom line is ess controls the price of runes. Remeber when they split the ess into pure ess and regular ess. That made pure ess sky rocket from 30 to around 100gp each. The the prices of some runes went up and the amout of money you could make rune crafting went down a little.

All there is to it.

With that decrease, isn't profit from nat rcing the same as previously when ess were 110each? Not much harm done with it, not surprising that it happens either.

Before, I bought ess for 100 each; now I buy for 90 each. There was also a 10 gp decrease in nature rune prices (to 300 from 310.) I make 20 gp less per ess, however I spend 10 gp less. Nonetheless, I'm making 10 gp less profit per ess I craft. The same thing happened with pure ess for a while. I could sell nats for 330, making 60gp more per ess. Whereas at the time ess had only gone up ~45 gp, from 35 to 80 gp. Highalching helps keep the rune market stable, and if bloods ever come out nats will rerise (with every RCer 77-90 making bloods.) No worries here :)

If Blood crafting ever come out, pure ess will rise :D

Oh yeah? Well where are the days where laws were worth 1k each, even in bulk?

If you can't double nats laws are definately the way to go if you wanna make money. I always found deaths hard to sell and I don't think they sell for what they are really worth

Which is why i usually only runecraft around night time when all the rc pkers are out of the way so i can make my laws

Other then that when you make deaths only make them if you need onyx gems (like i currently am doing for bracelets) or if you need deaths for slayer dart for dag kings or barrows for example

RC in Pking worlds (6,9,12,18)

Why you might ask? Well for two reasons.

1. Real Pkers wont bother with you because they're too busy pking better items

2. RC Pkers are too scared to go into those worlds to RC pk because they know real Pkers will own them

Nats are actually rising in price. Sure, it may dwindle sometimes, but it'll definately rise up. I suppose this is due to the 'skill cape rush' atm

drapit.png

It's simply due to the drop in price of pure essence by about 20gp ea over the past week or so.

the pricing of natures should stay at or around 300 gp because you cant over populate the RS world full of natures which would cause the decline in Prices...

The reason why the Price wont decline is Because people use them to high alch ALOT! so theres really no chance to over populate RS with Natures

Yea, with all the stupid lvl 3 rune merchanters (no offence) the prices of runes, especially deaths have gone way down. Everyone sees the merchanters buying at a certain price, so that becomes the official price.

meh, idc. Just craft the nats for alch or craft death till u can double nats then it wont matter as much the price fell.

Rcing has become a much more popular skill and nats are the way to go to 91 if you don't have a spare 60m... think its about time that runes dropped along with the rest of the prices

that assumption doesn't fit the time frame

Everyone who deals in raw materials is going to have to get used to the fact that auto'ers are going to drop the price of their favoured item. And the reason is this: JAGEX DOESN'T GIVE A T*SS ABOUT YOU. Auto'ers are, in the words of a business like MMORPG's, ' a burgeoning economoy', in other words, a chance to make money. If massive amounts of Chinese gold farmers are prepared to pay for membership fees for their 'Mage Log Cutters' and 'Shark Fishers' why would they want to stop them? Ask yourself this ... how does a W/C auto'er get to 98 w/c without getting banned???????

Why is 'common sense' so named, when there is so little of it about?

Welcome to puberty, we've been expecting you.

Nats will never drop below a certain price, they're one of the very few items that can hold their price over time, and it's simply because they're used to alch. As long as the item that can be alched+the price of nat=the alch price, nats will stay at that same price.

I've been selling nats for 310 in bulk rather easily. I'm able to buy pure essence in 100k+ bulk for 75-80 each, so I'm not going to complain if I can only get 300 ea for natures.

Possibly there are people autoing pure essence that is driving the price down to 75-80 each, that's all I can think of.

I just sold 10k nats for 310 a few minutes ago in less than 10 minutes.

Infact, I had two people mad at me becuase they didn't get an oppertunity to buy any of my nats.

In my opinion, nat prices have only dropped slightly, if at all. Before, 330 was the most they would sell for, and selling them for that took a long time, now, I'd say 320 is the most they sell for.

We tried using an abyssal whip to 'suggest' they work faster

I've been seeing more and more runecrafting autoers and I wouldn't be surprised if it's because of them.

I predicted that there would be nat rcing autoers around in a matter of time but didn't expected it to be this early

Strangely with WotLK so near, I wished I could delay it a bit to push through that last TBC content in MH/BT :'(.
