RC PKing Destroyed?

What good would that do? Then you're already skulled.

With the release of the Diamond Bracelet, enchanting it will make you never skull in the abyss for 5 trips. Now, any crafter can afford to buy all these, letting them take a glory SAFELY into the abyss, for this, I fear RC PKing has been destroyed completely, unless you like to waste skills for a helmet or some essence.

You do not need some anti-skull thing to Runecraft, what you need is d'hide and a one-click teleport. Wearing red dhide, its quite rare people snare me. Teleblockers are even rarer. But in the case you got snared and teleblocked, you should have a good defence lvl. That way you can hold out on their weak DDS spec attacks for 10 seconds and make it to the mage.

Not hardly. With only 5 charges and non rechargeable players will soon tire of diamond mining or paying for them. Probably then only be used by folks slaying abyssals demons there instead of slayer tower or people repairing pouches (that dont know they can be repaired while in ur bank)

There aren't any abyssal demons in the abyss unless you found some there that we don't know about. There are only abyssal demons in the slayer tower and alternate abyss not the abyss where u rc.

 

 

 

The only use for the diamond bracelet is for the RCers not to get skulled.

lets see. A diamond costs what? 3k? You'd have to mine annd smelt your own gold, craft dozens of them for it to be useful, and remember to put it on every 5 trips. It cuts back considerably from the profit, so i think every once in a while, when things look bad out there, its good...otherwise, it won't do too much.

Btw, for all you guys hating RC pk'ers. I found something that rocks them up, but is probally just as mean. I scout worlds on my level 20 account, run in and try to spec them out. :lol: So far i've gotten full mystic (x5). My friend has gotten full Ahrims and a Whip.

 

 

 

Yea, it's prolly just as low as Rc pking. But it's fun, and I vid it. :D

Everyone seems to think prices will go down simply because there will be more crafters. The crafters arn't going to sell their runes for less because it now cost about 750gp per trip on diamonds for the ammy(1 ammy uses 5 charges, diamonds are 3k, gold bar 300-400 gp, cosmic rune 200-300 gp)..

 

 

 

If anything I think prices will either stay the same or go up. Sadly not many ppl will realize this at first, and their may be a sudden price drop.

 

 

 

(this doesn't take into account that diamonds prices may rise.)

I think this is actually good. RC pking was never actually looked up upon. When looked at, this doesn't really help the rcers because they won't be skulled anyways. Only the RC pkers will get skulled so it'll help them out if anything...

Of course, I forsee Jagex changing this next week. But if they don't, I may use it. I currently have about 50 diamonds in my bank and 1k gold bars. 200 trips without a skull, thats 8,600 nats at 300 ea is 2.58M...plus the 100k you get for alching the 1 charged ones you have left=2.68M. Diamonds are currently 3kish ea. 150k...=2.53M still making. ..so in other words for every 50 trips you make with these, you lose 1 glory. Not bad.

If you have the diamonds in the bank and the bars, why not save yourself a glory?

 

 

 

If you think about it, if you were PKing in the abyss, you're attacking people who are practically undefended and have almost nothing of value, save for a Glory amulet. You could waste anywhere from 30-80K just getting that amulet (food, potions, runes, arrows, etc), and it's only worth 60K. Now, if you were going to really PK, then you could rake in anything from 120-5M if you went higher up (from full Rune to Barrows armor, and yes people actually PK in Veracs sometimes).

 

 

 

Besides that, Abyss PKing is absolutely worthless. Perhaps now these people will flow to better places such as Mage Bank instead of attacking someone defenseless.

I was lucky enough to have about 50 diamonds before the update, so I got enough for about 10k nats. :)

 

 

 

I like them but I would rather go skulled than waste diamonds.

Hardly effects rc pkers. Five runes is INSIGNIFICANT. It's a waste of money, you'll just get killed since the pkers are annoyed and you'll have to get your pouches back again.

 

 

 

It's really not worth it buying diamonds for the bracelets. It just isn't.

 

 

 

Now if the bracelet had like, 10-20 charges, then it might hit rc pking. But at five? No way.
