May 6, 200719 yr I usually never post here, but I thought this story was worth it :) Me, my father and my brother were driving on the highway. (I was sitting at the front, my brother at the back) Suddenly, my father brakes. We still dont know what happened further in front of us, but there was chaos. We continue driving normally, like we used to do. I look outside, and I see this small black car at my right. Suddenly, his right-behind weel stops (the other 3 weels were still spinning) and the weel started smoking like crazy. The smell was very wierd, Like burning rubber but then different. While my dad was braking, the black car moves to the left, makes a 180 Degrees spin, and crashes into the safety barier (You know, those metal bars) He faced us, nose to nose. I could see from his face that he was shocked. We check if he was alright, and continued. There were alot of cars behind us, so we couldnt stop or anything. Later on my dad saw him driving away, with broken headlights and alot of paintdamage. After all, it was his fault. He wasnt paying attention, and he reacted to quickly to something, which made him lose control over his car. If my dad didnt brake, we would have had a car crash, no doubt about that. (I wonder how that wouldve been, me in a Chrysler Voyager and he in his tiny Volkswagen :) ) Now this is the scariest thing that has ever happened to me, and I would never like to experience this again. Something I will never forget :uhh: EDIT: I know, this story is full of spelling mistakes. But I dont care right now :) [http://woopidoo2.deviantart.com][Tip.it Moderator from Dec 10, 2006 to 03 Sep, 2008]
May 6, 200719 yr Well you got lucky. It's a good thing you dad was paying attention, and that the other guy didn't get hurt. The code in my sig should say 1032 not 0132.
May 6, 200719 yr Just be thankful you weren't hurt  Was the other guy on his cell phone, or what?
May 6, 200719 yr Close one, glad to hear you're ok! Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-I took the one less traveled by,And that has made all the difference.

May 6, 200719 yr Very lucky! Car crashes can be a nightmare. Just pray if you get in a car accident that the driver you collide with is a member of the Senate . :D Happened to me before on my bike

May 8, 200719 yr Yeah, accidents can be terrible, and almost accidents can shake you up quite a lot. Just remember, almost a car crash, is not equal to a car crash. Thats the best way of looking at it in my opinion. Main Goal; To have all skills 50+ My avatar is: The Shins- Oh Inverted World
May 8, 200719 yr I always say that should I ever have a car accident, I'll be so scared, I'll just faint and never wake up. Last time I drove was a couple of months ago. I hit a bird and didn't feel like driving for a long time. As a matter of fact, I still don't feel like driving. :( I'm glad you're alright though. Could have been a lot more scary than it was. :P
May 9, 200719 yr Thank your lucky stars.... I know how it feels, i've been in a car accident before similar to yours where another driver wasn't paying attention and he smashed into the back of our car. Lucky no one was seriously hurt and we just came out shocked and a little cut. Couldnt say the same for both the cars involved.... :-w It isn't in the castle, It isn't in the mist, It's a calling of the waters, As they break to show, The new Black Death, With reactors aglow, Do you think your security, Can keep you in purity, You will not shake us off above or belowScottish frictionScottish fiction
May 9, 200719 yr That's pretty lucky. I've only almost gotten into 2 accidents when I was driving. One time it was raining and I took a sharp corner too fast and ended up drifting around it. Having no clue how I was supposed to stop the drift, I oversteered into oncoming traffic then back off the road. I suppose it would have looked pretty cool if I had known what I was doing but the only thing that went through my head was '*S***.. This isn't going to end well'. The other time was simply me not seeing a guy coming so I pulled out then noticed him at the last second. We both slammed on our brakes and luckily he just laughed about it instead of being all pissed. Internet Marketing For Newbies
May 9, 200719 yr The last two weeks I have almost been involved in 4 potentially fatal RTAs. All of these due to 15 year olds driving like maniacs on their scooters. These kids overtake you doing wheelies, overtake when cars are coming the other way, pull out in front of you and all other manner of idiotic stunts and maneuvers. Only yesterday was I indicating to turn left (if you are American picture me turning right) into a junction when a kid on a scooter undertook me to get past. If i hadn't checked the passenger side mirror before turning I would have crashed into him and probably run him over. Another very close call was when I was driving home from work and there was a stream of traffic coming the other way with a big white van and four kids on scooters overtook the van at the same time. Not only did I have to swerve out the way but so did the van driver so they could fit in the gap. There is going to come a day, and its going to be soon, that one of the kids is killed trying to show off to their mates. I think I am going to start taking pictures of them and go to the police because If its me that ends up running a kid over due to their idiotic stunts then i'm going to have to bear that feeling the rest of my life and its not fair. May 9, 200719 yr lol ive been in a smash, but it was when i was like 5, i dont remember details. i remember some small parts (probly cos of my adreniline making my memory better). i remeber seeing the car comin from somewhere (the oposite side of cross road, its a kind of screwed up cross road though, theres a exit road from a freeway with to smaller roads joining in almost the same place, but not exactly opposite). i dont remember it hitting, but it obvesly did. next thing i know my mums out of her seat scrambling to get me out of the car. i seem to remember asking something like "why are you getting me out" which i surpose is a pritty dumb question now i have a brain bigger then a 5yr olds. all i remember after that is seeing me mums old commy smashed in at the front left with both lights broken lights, that kind of gave u the eyes of a devil with the 2 smashed lights the eyes. i then remember trying to calm my mum down as she sits down in the gutter crying. after taht i was in an ambulance with me mum and the women from the other vehicle which took me to a hospitatle for a check up (i had nothing wrong, we were all fine :D ) and then thats about all i remember except for me mum driving me grandpas car (he can use me grandmas cos they dont use dem for nothin) for the next few weeks while me mum goes to court i persuim and waits for the insurance payout. it seems more scary thinking bout it now then what i remember when it was happening.
