All the time-i think i lost around 200k from it. Most ever was 100k when i bought 4 1300k and sold 4 1200k cos i couldnt be bothered 2 w8.

Exactly. I cba to spend an extra half hour selling stuff to get an extra 100k, same thing for buying. So, without merchants I'd never get stuff sold :P

Once in w2 I was selling full ahrims, and sold it for like 1.85, I don't remember. Immeidiatley after closing the trade window, the guy started saying "Selling full ahrim's 1.9!!!"

I sell for the price I'm happy with. If someone else wants to wander around waiting for a slightly higher price and resell, that's their business. I'd rather put the time back into my skills, which usually ends up making up the difference anyway.

No i havent but once i owned full gilded when it was worth like 4mil and i was in cammy and some dude offered 4.7mil and a d long for it im like woot lol i merched him good even though i didnt do nothing

I hate it when I work my butt off for something (like 10k laws) and I see them sell them for 1.5x the price I sold it to them for...

I'm actually knowingly being merchanted quite frequently :XD: I usually overpay for my supplies so I can get it in bulk faster. I don't mine it :P

 

 

 

Personally I don't either, because I feel like what's the point of haggling over 50k when that same 50k can be made back with something else, faster!

I don't really realize it after and think that its a bad deal, I think that its a bad deal while I sell 8-). Rather sell coal fast for 170 each then spend a while selling. Got the coal for about 110 gold each at miscellania so share the profits with everyone :D!

I've always overpaid for wearable items but those are never for resale although their sale value has now dropped by over 10M overall. Funny thing is that in spite of having them, I rarely wear those items and yet keep a pair to hold the bank spots. :wall:

 

 

 

I recently spent a lot on blue hides expecting prices to be what they were a couple of years back which was when I last bought them (I had also forgotten most of the alch prices which didnt help). Now I am losing around 3M compared to what it would've cost at regular market prices. The only upside is that I'm getting 4 crafting levels which was the aim to begin with.

 

 

 

So to answer the question, YES I've been merched but I'd rather be merched than spend an extra few hours merchanting to save some gp. With fairly high skills, its hard not to make money just training skills and so the loss of a few gp here and there from being merched is hardly noticeable.

Sometimes I'll try and get the best price, but when i'm in a hurry, I usually overpay or sell for too little.

 

 

 

If I have a lot of time on my hands, I'll stand around and merchant. To be honest, I don't really enjoy merchanting, although I think it comes very easy to me, and even though I enjoy spending all the money I make on myself, I really don't have a very good time spamming for hours.

I always sell for as cheap as I can. I sell all my barrow runes to the autoers at W2, just cause its a fast way to do it.

Most of the time, I try and do something, but, then decide to stop, (alch/use blast furnace, got 800 natures, bought 1k at 300 ea, gonna sell the rest for 280 or whatever, lets hope I made some money.

There's nothing wrong with knowlingly being merched. When I have bulk to sell that I dont feel like selling like sets of rune, I sell to merchants.

I get merch'ed a lot of times. I just don't care for a measly few thousand GP. I'll rather train or talk rather than to wait a extra 15 minutes selling my stuff.

well an hour or two ago i sold d legs for 2.1, a little what other people were selling for, but personally they can stand there for an hour waiting for someone desperate to get d legs, for 100k more on an item while i'm off making money :roll:

Nope. I always buy things normal price or a couple 50k's lower. It won't hurt to wait 10 minutes and save some money that will eventually build up.

I have no patience with the market :wall:

 

 

 

+1 I don't have the patience to stand around and wait for my desired price. I usually don't overbuy TOO much, but I have before and I almost always under sell. There's been the rare occasion however that I got the same or more then what I paid for the item
