This is completely copying World of Warcraft. And also the durability? That's also copying WoW! Jagex might be sued.

I would be sad if Runescape became just some different version of WoW.

^^Please Read... I specifically said durability wouldn't be included... Plus most MMPRPGs have those qualities... No Jagex wouldn't be sued... No it wouldn't become another version of WoW for the sake that we have other skills that are non-combat based

Anyhoo.

I'll update later... Busy...

Bump.

Good idea. It'll be possible to get a low-quality Dragon item or something for less or get a stronger version for more. It make RS different than most games.

Supported 116.2254856%.

No, it makes Runescape the same as most games..

In Soviet Russia, glass eats OTers.

Alansson Alansson, woo woo woo!

Pink owns yes, just like you!

GOOOOOOOOOO ALAN! WOO!

I think it would be a lot easier if everything was the same.

I engineered this thread with precise variables that I know would cause lul-worthy flames.

Most (nearly all I guess) don't have this. Instead, they have an "upgrade" or "gem socket" option. The same weapon with different stats is innovative, atleast for an online game.

basically like diablo 2

Kinda

It would make the game way too complicated!
More-so

Anyway, added DarkVincent to the support list, thanks :)

i support but what about: the more the weapon is used the better it gets? or the worse?

I just went into W2 and saw this, apparently someone already is thinking along your lines....

add me, i love the idea.

i like the idea but i like it better if it can only be upgraded. in the another game i play.. flyff you can upgrade your weapons with elements and pierce and stat up's. the item used to upgrade them is expensive so ppl only bother upgrading high lvl stuff anyway while upgrading there is a high chance that the item will break which really makes you mad.. i did it several times and wasted millions.... yeah so if runescape could have like a magic skill that could upgrade items about... 10-50% of the time then i think it could be an excellent idea for those who could afford it=p

as for iron scimmys im sure my pure str person would love to have an extra 2 str bonus

i have done this too before... cept it was full dh sets and i was saying that newsweek and time magazine rated it the best set ever lol...

karilnk3.jpgrsdeadst71kh8.th.png[/url]

Sorry, but i think that this is a little to complicated. I think i'd rather see a different update too, this one doesnt seem very important to me. And, scammers could sell a low weapon, and say its a high one (you'd have to work that out, like maybe in the trade window you can veiw the stats of the weapon). :|

^The last great war of the Wilderness....

Yeah, I don't have a cool signature, so the MSSW3 sig will have to do....

I dont get the point to this... wouldnt it jut make trading more difficult?

sure ud get stronger weapons, but how did they get to that?

Maybe u can add a way to the more training u did with an item, the better stats it would get, but im not sure....

And Also instead of like low quality or excelent quality or whatever, it should be under the examine option where when u click examine it would say what quality it is.

P.S. - i only read the first page so if my statements are said be4 im sorry.

I totally support this, it adds another dimension to the game making it more challenging/rewarding at times.

At the same time it also solve another serious problem, underaged gaming. With this it makes the game more intrecate which discourages younger players from playing and thus improving the game by removing beggars, immature children under 13, etc.

The only problem i can see with this, is that Jagex will never do anything, they wont fix the bank system in anyway, because their insanely stupid...

I really support this. Since the max hits are getting better and better all the time we need some weapons to not have the highest att bonus. And in addition to this suggestion, would you be able to upgrade them in any way or woul you have to buy an entire new whip if you wanted a better one.

|Barrows Drops-7|Dragon Drops-5|

i dont like. i think this would drastically reduce the point of smithing. (no furthur comment, its a pain to type using wii internet...)

Did you know that 78.934% of statistics are completly made up?

blackgoldrobesrv5.png

The suggestion made was to have only the basic weapon tradable - All higher and lower variations of the weapon could only be gotten through drops from monsters, and most likely only sold to a general store for a certain amount based on the quality - Nobody else could see this item appear. This would make slayer more useful as well as add a point in looking for drops like a rune scimmy.

I like all of the idea except for this. This is counterproductive. If the items are non tradable then you can't buy the lower lvl ones or the higher lvl ones so that does NOTHING except for lower the value of normal weps as more and more get the souped up ones. Also, if you get a rune scimmy, say, then you would only be able to sell it to a general store, which offer like 1/2 the real value. That will cut down on the stuff. Alos, you don't need the scam protecter or anything else if you cant trade it, now CAN you?

quoted from gibsocam:

i think they will keep coming up with skills until they get to sleeping skill or something. (you can now use a rune pillow!)

mininpure, yep, that's why I didn't add it into the support list... It solved some problems that people talked about, but it also severely limited the abilities of this suggestion.

Perfect idea! +Support (Now I could afford a 75k whip :D) You could add certain items that affect the stats as well, but make a max determined upon the weapon itself

The corp beast, is, well, just a corp beast. He doesnt even have any friends.

All DFS threads turn into efficiency flame wars >.>
