May 18, 200719 yr Author Dont only think about the trades, what about the banks? If you had 85 slayer and after getting a few whips as drop. All would be different. 5 bank slots for 1 whip in ea. #-oI know, I have an idea (withdraw highest, withdraw lowest, withdray specific [interface opens]) But I need to come up with a picture to explain better ;) ~ Clicky for the blog of No Cb Skils ~
May 20, 200719 yr I dont really see the point of it at all and therefore cannot support it because their is more important things jagex needs to do.
May 20, 200719 yr I do not support this suggestion, I am against it. Imagine the prices on Whips? "Selling Whip, with 82 Str 76mi!" "Selling Whip with 75 Str, 1mil!" Also, this suggestion would just ruin the game in so many other ways. I can't name them all, I'm already a little sick from reading this thread :-X here!
May 20, 200719 yr I support this idea for all metallic weapons: We need to breathe new life back into the mining and smithing market. Still enjoying RuneScape?
May 21, 200719 yr Author Meh, yea, Gold_Tiger10 - That would definately happen...can't argue with that  I support this idea for all metallic weapons: We need to breathe new life back into the mining and smithing market. Thanks, added ;) ~ Clicky for the blog of No Cb Skils ~
May 21, 200719 yr Speaking of Metal weapons, after smithed you could accidentaly make it blunter or sharper. danke Schon Sam!^^"Blood runs thicker, oh were thick as thieves you know"-Carl Barât
May 21, 200719 yr i really cant say this is a great idea, as many people would want the best, and the lower ones would end up being pointless to buy. it would also ruin the economy, and if you haven't noticed, the economy is already messed up 99 Fletching 99 Attack 99 Constitution 99 Cooking 99 StrengthGamertag: H8tebringer
May 22, 200719 yr Author Speaking of Metal weapons, after smithed you could accidentaly make it blunter or sharper. True...But that could go under higher smithing = high grade weapon. If you're talking about a weapon getting duller over time, that would be like durability... Which I wouldn't really want to add to a suggestion like this - yet. The items wouldn't be able to stack, which is idiotic. Well, in your invintory, that's probably true. I have a bank theory though...But aside from that...I really doubt that there are that many times when you need to carry 2 of the same weapons as notes...unless selling, and then, well, you'd be right. A new dimension would be added to selling weapons. i really cant say this is a great idea, as many people would want the best, and the lower ones would end up being pointless to buy. it would also ruin the economy, and if you haven't noticed, the economy is already messed up Not nessarily ruin it, but could infact possibly save it. Having higher whips/weapons would allow poorer players to be able to buy lower-weapons and richer players to buy richer weapons. Then, instead of people complaining about how high certain items have gotten in cost, they could buy a lower, yet still effective for what they want to do, item to complete the task. ~ Clicky for the blog of No Cb Skils ~
May 22, 200719 yr I like it, excellent idea because it adds a different level of strategie to the Wilderness
May 22, 200719 yr lol no support...not a good idea....that would just kill the whole meaning of have a good item...and really it wont make a diff.....so no...this is dumb IGNORE THESE FOUR WORDS
May 22, 200719 yr So basically, everybody would just go buy the high quality stuff and be better off? What if you worked months for 85 slayer. Spend 6 hours killing abbys. Get a whip drop. "Poor quality." Go sell for 300k. Great. No.
May 24, 200719 yr this defeats the purpose of having different items, eventually the market would widdle down to whip -1-, whip -2-, etc. i know this is exagerated, but essentially the market would consist of a lot less items, with a lot of different stats...you could, however, just make diferent types of whips, etc. :-$ ... that ones up for taking. EDIT: oh, by the way, in my idea, you wouldn't need 85 slayer for a 300k whip D-Money M&S Co.Oh, come on! What's wrong with an Uzi-wielding goblin?
May 25, 200719 yr With a bit of twicking, this could work. A higher smithing means better weapons, this would greatly help mine/smith skillers. (Me being a skiller in training, being a bit bias) After a lot of use, the weapon would fatigue. But if you can repair it at a anvil, with at least half the required smithing. if you have the smith skill to make it, you can make it in a slightly better quality then you made it, but only once per level. After five levels, you can make it at the best condition possible. Remeber, it's OK until you caught.

That would add too much for now, and a lot of people are repeating no for reasons like the market; which has been explained #-o But yea, overall I think durability would work. Just small steps to a bigger goal IMO :) ~ Clicky for the blog of No Cb Skils ~
May 26, 200719 yr Great idea! You could also make it similiar to games like Oblivion, where you can sometimes obtain "unique" weapons/armor, which have extra effects/strength added to them.
May 26, 200719 yr Kinda like armour/weapon enhancing. Present in a lot of games. It would be fun, but more fun for the rich. 2480+ total
May 27, 200719 yr I think this is a terrific idea. Just because something is made of the same material doesn't ensure equal quality.
May 27, 200719 yr Or perhaps the item could only be categorised by a certain stat/ combination of stats. For example, you could have whip(strength), and whip (slash), or and whip (prayer). Also, you could get combinations such as whip (str/atk) or even a 3 way combination, such as whip (str/pray/slash). Problem is that it will screw up the bank, and the item word limit. Edit: I support btw, as long as we work out a system which will not mess up the bank. ~ W ~

May 28, 200719 yr this would ruin so many aspects of melee usage. i can't even begin to explain how useless having a low-quality anything would be. May 29, 200719 yr Horrible Idea. Then everyone would have a whip and would be really annoying to see everyone weild a whip and no weapon varity on players. Degrading weapons and armour is annoying enough allready with barrows. Degrading weapons and armour is annoying enough allready with barrows. We dont need it on every weaponNo offence, but you don't understand my idea at all. Items would remain having the same stats reguardless how often used. I even said that in saying "no durability" ... This is simply making some weapons better than others when dropped by monsters or made. ~ Clicky for the blog of No Cb Skils ~
