Jagex has promised us more achievement diaries in the near future. Where do you think some of the areas the new ones might focus on will be? I'm leaning towards Morytania and the Kharidian desert - they're among the only other places that have challenges for high level players. A wilderness diary would also be a (rather remote) possibility. Does anyone else have thoughts on this? How about the sort of rewards from the diaries?

Im thinking more along the lines of Skill Achievement Diaries. Such as like a Combat Diary or maybe an Agility Diary. But Areawise maybe Relekka/Lunar Isle?

There's the agility pyramid, the plunder pyramid, the sophanem catacombs, the desert treasure pyramid... seems like plenty to me.

 

 

 

By the way, didn't Jagex specifically say that they would focus on areas? We already have our skills to keep track of our progress in training skills.

I agree with the author, there's lots to do in Morytania eg do a temple trek, do shade burning and in the desert you could like do anything from getting a s'quirk from every garden, get a ground goat horn and the hardest one could be kill the kalphite queen.

 

 

 

So yeah, there's lots to do in these areas.

Releka and fremmy isles, the desert for sure and maybe one for misthalin?

Misthalin, Asgarnia (includes Taverley and surrounding areas), Morytania and Kandarin being major areas of the game are the most likely to get future diaries.

jagex seems to do a lot with the desert...they like it too much i think...i bet it is next

If its in the elf place which i can never remember the name(lleyta?) then there will be trouble as no one goes there anymore.

I bet anything the next is Trollheim or Al Kharid or possibly the whole Rellekian region (meaning lunar, Waterbirth ETC.)

From the beggining of release I had though of Al-Kharid/Desert part. I even discussed with Saidin what would there be..

 

 

 

One reward would be no shanty pass needed.. Another would be no fee for carpets..Then another would stop you from burning..Another would give a discount at tanning..And many others..What to do? Starting from a dueling, mining, smelting, crafting, killing kq, entering sophanem and many other things and ending with Ali's merchanting and stuff like that.

Some of these seem a little bit devoid of challenges. What is there to do in lumbridge? Kill a cow? I feel similarly about the others (excluding the elven area - plenty challenging, just not very much there to do) - there's plenty to do, but I can't think of many things for the "hard" category.

Desert, or Taverly (sp?) would be my next guess. Taverly because it is a nice little hub in p2p that has a lot of things to do. Desert because... Well, its a desert. Scorpions and things that go grrrr (and spitting camels..)

Hmm, actually, hard tasks are kind of hard to come up with, they'd have to be a bit more creative. I doubt Jagex wants to force people to kill the kbd or chaos elemental in order to complete an achievement diary.
