Aneron Posted May 17, 2007 Share Posted May 17, 2007 Jagex has promised us more achievement diaries in the near future. Where do you think some of the areas the new ones might focus on will be? I'm leaning towards Morytania and the Kharidian desert - they're among the only other places that have challenges for high level players. A wilderness diary would also be a (rather remote) possibility. Does anyone else have thoughts on this? How about the sort of rewards from the diaries? The desert is merely a vast expanse of nothingness There's the agility pyramid, the plunder pyramid, the sophanem catacombs, the desert treasure pyramid... seems like plenty to me. By the way, didn't Jagex specifically say that they would focus on areas? We already have our skills to keep track of our progress in training skills. Firebird75 Posted May 17, 2007 Share Posted May 17, 2007 Though i'm f2p I'll hazard a guess: I agree with the author, there's lots to do in Morytania eg do a temple trek, do shade burning and in the desert you could like do anything from getting a s'quirk from every garden, get a ground goat horn and the hardest one could be kill the kalphite queen. One reward would be no shanty pass needed.. Another would be no fee for carpets..Then another would stop you from burning..Another would give a discount at tanning..And many others..What to do? Starting from a dueling, mining, smelting, crafting, killing kq, entering sophanem and many other things and ending with Ali's merchanting and stuff like that. Some of these seem a little bit devoid of challenges. What is there to do in lumbridge? Kill a cow? I feel similarly about the others (excluding the elven area - plenty challenging, just not very much there to do) - there's plenty to do, but I can't think of many things for the "hard" category. Lists that can be done in the desert: use the magic carpet near shanty pass for 75gp trap a lizard track a kebbit get water from a cactus mine some granite sell a artifact for money go into the demons dimension make a camelhead mask Kill one form of the kalphite queen switch to the acients spell list cast ice barrage on an enemy wear a holy symbol into bandit camp bar (that would be realy funny :lol: ) kill a dust devil Lists of things to do around morytania: pass through the barrier into morytania kill a morytanian man (while in man form) pray at the ectofuntus brew an ale kill a crawling hand use the fairy ring do a med lvl temple treak to and from burgh de rott kill an wolfman buy a bolt rack get some loot from barrows (not a barrows drop) get a kill count of 100+ in barrows (chalenging) kill a barrows brother without prayer (ooh) get a barrows item from the barrows chest pick up a whip in the slayer tower (i didn't say from abby demons) Ponies! Some easy tasks: Craft some Chaos runes Recharge your prayer at one of the altars Mine some coal at the skeleton mine Kill a Dark Wizard Pull the lever to Ardougne Teleport to the abyss Cook on the bandits' range Jump over the wilderness ditch :lol: Medium tasks: Kill a green dragon Mine some addy from the hobgoblin or pirate mine Open the muddy chest Do a lap on the agility course Dig for a treasure trail Obtain a God cape Catch a black salamander Hard tasks: Mine some runite Kill another player Gain the use of all 3 god spells outside the arena Use a wilderness teleport Hmm, actually, hard tasks are kind of hard to come up with, they'd have to be a bit more creative. I doubt Jagex wants to force people to kill the kbd or chaos elemental in order to complete an achievement diary. Check out this cool browser gladiator game!
