Would you use a mic?

Featured Replies

it wouldnt be a good for two reasons, people may abuse it by swearing, some people might not want talk on it, and a third one that i just thought would be that some older poeple might try to erm...how can i put this...talk to younger people and i doubt many parents would allow them to talk to their computer :P

Sig by me....

im perfectly content with my friends ventrillo server (voIP)

im perfectly content in using empty TS servers, to play COD2 with my friends. but i think if it was rs then just use an existing one

Nah, the pre-pubescent voices of all the little 10 year olds would kill my ears :x.

just get a ts server :-s

Well there is already programs that allow you to use a mic

Ex: mIRC and Teamspeak, which most clans or "Teams" use

But on topic I would :D

You think it's bad now with noobs, give them a mic. This would ruin runescape

It should be like a request or something, like a trade, to chat so theres no yellin and screamin :P and all that stuff

Happy to find I'm not the only one who eats glass.

You can't control it. Stick to mIRC if you want to use a mic. There is no possibility in a MMORPG to add a mic. Not in any way I can think off..

Although, for clan support, make a seperate screen for clan messages. Or create a world channel, like in WoW, with restrictions. (need X level, for X channel.. or so?.. and admin watched.)

i would, that would be helpful to say something really quick when your friends about to log out, you're pking with someone, and many other situations where talking quickly would help. too bad i dont have a mic  .

Maybe you could have another list SPECIFICALY for this use...to the left of Friends List, perhaps.

I would think this feature would go great for many things...but how much more would they jack the price up for it...

Code:

yea maybe, but parents hearing is a bad problem, they rarely let me have public/private chat on "on"

Doing a little bit of everything

i'd rather kill myself then reinkarnate to kill myself again ... think off all the noobs ... "fr33 st0ff pl0x" ... GAAAH would get insane :o

I probably wouldn't, but you would have a bunch of idiots running around screaming...so I'm not sure if it would really work...

I would like the use of a mic. I think that it would be a great addition to the game, only problem would be stupid kids that would say dumb things, and it would be hard to censor a mic feature so that would work so well.

i would but it should only be on your freinds list
