~Bring Back the Black Hole (NOW WITH PICTURES!!!)~

Featured Replies

Nice idea, you should also be able to throw rotten tomatoes at people in the black hole like at the duel arena and those jail cage things in seers and varrock.

~That's a great idea, actually. Perhaps throwing something more sinister would fit better. Honestly, i could live off to tomatoes for the rest of my life; i really would ENJOY being pelted with them =).~

~I'll think about these great ideas. Probably i'll revamp Post One tomorrow.~

~Thanks for your continued help and support.~

It seems like a good idea with one problem, what if someone just puts something on the arrow key on your keyboard, he will spin for like a long time without the player even suffering that much.

Three months banishment to 9gag is something i would never wish upon anybody, not even my worst enemy.

Oh forget the black hole why not just have a several layered runescape hell for the sinners, with Dante-style ironic punishments depending on what they did. Also wouldn't the black holes be empty all the time since the banned would not be logged on? Why not just have ghosts or whatever take their place.

Pretty good idea overall. I wasn't around when the balck hole was there, but does anybody have pictures of the black hole?

GUESS WHAT? The RED SOX and PATRIOTS are awesome, and there is nothing you con do about it.

CURRENT GOALS: Smithing 42/50...Fishing 47/50...Magic 35/33 Completed!! ...Attack 40/40 Completed!!!

I bought bgs 29.1m 3 days ago, sold yesterday at 30m (for those who are mathematically challenged: 800k profit).

Insane epic fail....

~I'm not sure if there even *are* any. I, myself, have never seen them. If you really spent a lot of time, i'm sure you could find one....maybe.~

I support this idea :D.

~Wow, helpful. One can only do so much in Paint while Cooking, sorry.~

~You get the idea though, i'm sure Jagex will change them slightly.~

This is a good idea but it has some problems like the extra servers it would take... I definitely support the idea though!

All the blackhole was was your character surrounded by total black. That's the blackhole. Heres some ideas

Total Blackness, walk around and you might find somebody, no trading. How do you get back? With a disc of returning of course, you could shoot the price much higher, maybe even bring down the price of party hats to under 100m.

How about make two Permanent Ban statuses? "Permanent Ban with Appeal" and "Permanent Ban with no Appeal".

So "Permanent Ban with Appeal" means you can appeal to the Jagex support to get yourself unbanned and placed on a probation period to prove that you've changed your ways. "Permanent Ban with no Appeal" means exactly that; your character is banned and there's no way for you to get it unbanned. Obviously this second case only happens under extreme circumstances such as if you were macroing or real-world item trading.

To make "Permanent Ban with no Appeal" even more entertaining (for the rest of us, not the person being banned), their entire bank is Low Alched, all the GP split evenly to the number of bank locations and their bank "explodes". Basically, the bank suddenly rains GP in clumps of 100gp per clump.

~Drops will never happen. Ever. Never. No. Sorry. This really isn't about Permanent and Non-Permanent Bans, everyone ends up in The Black Hole.~

~If this was on the RSOF, my post was first, it's copyrighted first.~

Its a great idea, but i must agree with hohto.

It would only use space for servers when they could make more playable servers instead.

Ive never seen the black hole but after ive seen here, its nothing but complete darkness soo whats to see? :P

~It was very popular in the past. It would only be more popular now that there are sooooooo many more Players.~

You forget that the old one was a black hole experiment. The "real" black hole even wasn't there for too loong. The experiment was popular for about 1 week, after it everyone had seen it. Removing it didn't cause any protests like it would have if it was a great thing.

~That's true, but there were so few Players back then, there weren't enough people to get interested. Maybe Jagex could let us kill the Banned Players, to keep The Black Hole popular (maybe make it a Slayer Task.) This would encourage them, without them even knowing it, to play by the rules. After killing 147 Banned Players, you should figure out that breaking the Rules is wrong.~

It's just like most of the rs2 updates too: it's an update people would check out but that's it. How many do you see playing those games in Burthorpe? How many does rat pits? This would just be another update like that: crowded tomorrow, half empty tomorrow and completely empty the next week.

Also why bother making them a slayer task? One of the worst ideas I've lately heard. If you could still be logged in with a banned character after getting banned, what point would you do that? If it was this "ghost" thing, it would be just a stupid waste of time: they could aswell add a new dimension and put player-look-alike npc's there, maybe give them names like 1337 pur3, Rvwjbt and mob j4g3x so they'd look a bit like the normal rule breakers.

~Well, right now, i need to find a way to keep myself (and hohto =) satisfied...Read on...~

~Essentially, what we need to do is find a way to keep getting Players to come back. A Slayer Task isn't the best idea, i can understand that. (I wrote that message at 7 am, when i was rushing to school.) Perhaps putting necessary things like teleports to far-off places that are useful to Skills, a GOOD Minigame that people will continually play, not like the Blast Furnace, or something down there would be good. I really don't want this to be another of those "Eh..." Updates. I hate those more than anyone.~

~Please post ideas, thanks =S.~

~Maybe make it a place where the next set of quests is set? But that won't really keep people there, except for two days. I really need help guys, brainstorming aloud isn't fun =S.~
