Karmastocracy Posted May 31, 2007 Share Posted May 31, 2007 Well as I was checking out the new Runecape Wallpaper (Lord Drakan's) I saw the Wallpaper of "Attack on Varrock" and I had an idea. This is a little bit of theorizing but with a new twist... It might actually be right. What if there was a Huge Event that had to do with an Attack on Varrock? It could be a mini-game, possibly a mini-quest or a very big quest for that! Or even a world event? It's always possible. The reason I am actually thinking that this is possible is because of all the "Clues" or just little pieces of stuff that makes sense. This wallpaper? Here is the description: You can't keep a good necromancer down...or his legion of indeed warriors. It looks like Varrock may be about to have a very bad day! Sounds pretty ominous doesn't it? Also the in the new "Lore and History" update on the main page it has two new chapters on the Legend of Arrav (Which is VERY good, and definitely worth the read if you have the time) it has this paragraph: If you don't know who Arrav was, or what he did that was so great (or even what his fabulous shield did), then this might be the time to get a bit of reading in. There are an awful lot of stories in RuneScape, and it can't hurt to know the background... Just hype for the new chapters of Arrav and the updated lore pages? It probably is..... And the new Varrock History museum, the updated looking Varrock, and most of the attention currently on Varrock. It would seem to be the opportune time. In all probablility, I am most likely wrong. Also if you're talking about summoning another thing to add into the equation is the fact that Summoning is possibly mentioned in the new Postbag from the Hedge Crossword. Lead by Lord Drakon and his followers/kin. Signs of this you already saw during the latest 2 of the Myreque quests. Wasnt it always said that the River Salve and his holy waters blessed by Saradomin would stop any evil creatures? Well if you ask me, Vyrewatch and Vampyre Lords can easily get around. A little background info: Zamouregal was one of many Mahjarrat who, together with Lord Drakan and Zamorak turned on Zaros. So if anything, I doubt it is Zaros coming back, but rather Zamorak thats trying to walk this earth again. Poor Drezel, we will miss him. sryen Posted May 31, 2007 Share Posted May 31, 2007 For the vampires, wasn't there a quest where you see a werewolf or vampire on the other side of the salve? That means it's pretty pointless. Especially with that broken fence. Also, necromancers are gaining power. The guy south of Falador (can never remember the name) isn't the only one to watch out for, although he's proof that they exist. Maybe a demon slayer sequel? Delrith was the demon that destroyed Varrock last time, when it was still Avarrocka. Since the dark wizards are constantly re-summoning him, maybe someone finally gets through? Now this one goes way back, longer then I can remember. I was surfing the RSOF once and I read up on a suggestion called "Protect the city". It was a suggestion that a certain time of day a mob of monsters would be unleashed on a city. Kind of like Tower Defence from Warcraft. Now, I thought this was a totally hardcore idea, and quite fun. MrVegetable Posted May 31, 2007 Share Posted May 31, 2007 Maybe a Necromancer will help the Morytanian enemies through the gate at Paterdomus and a double attack will happen on Varrock, where we have to defend the city with a friend (like the whole Black Arm/Pheonix tradition) and using the Shield of Arrav (which should have a special attack of it's own to kill all enemies instanty within a certain radius) to hold off the attack, trading the shield between the friends when needed. When the attacks are held off successfully, Paterdomus can be re-sealed and a counter-attack on the Necromancer and leaving Morytania for another time. I'd love an event like that, perhaps make it based on your combat level (like agressive randoms) so it makes everyone happy =P~ There's cake through here, apparently.
