I had an interesting talk with an 'autoer'

Hello everyone,

This morning i was bored of ranging greaters demons so i went to talk with the people who kill blue dragons. Most of those people are 'autoers', but they aren't bots. I know many people hate them, but this changed my mind, and hopefully yours to. I realised it is not bad but sad, those people know that they actually ruin the gameplay and community but they can't do anything else. Japan, China and several other over populated countries don't got very much places to work anymore and people have to find a way to earn money. I'm not saying i like those players, but i learned to live with them. And to be early, after this talk i think i can say that these people are nicer than some normal players. I have made this pictures, i know it is bad quality, sorry. If you have any comments about what i ask to her, please say. If you think this is offensive to someone/something, feel free to explain yourself.

^ After that a normal player came and short after the 'autoer' left and the guy started flaming me. I reported him and explained him the situation but he didn't care at all so i just ignored him.

Hope you boys and girls learned something of this, any questions? Feel free to ask

Thanks, Jiri

Blah, sad.

I am sure they could find a different job other than playing runescape for 12 hours a day.

No one but the person himself is responsible for his/her situation.

That sucks......... Being force to work for 12 hours on a game you don't like. But I still don't respect them because they can work for a degree instead being a game workshop worker. They want the easier route for money which of course is this or prob making Nikey shoes I dunno.

They can't come to the US because then people will complain their stealing our jobs, but wait they are already doing that to immigrants. Some melting pot we are.

China is the most populated country in the world, and above that it is a poor country.

These people are forced to do this because they badly need money to feed their families. There aren't that many job opportunites there.

I'm not saying that it's okay for these people to break the rules, but I understand their situation.

If anything, I feel sorry for them.

Umm...No, actually there probably are no other jobs available for them where they live.

To get a good idea of how big the population of China is, a statistic shows that if you exported every single job in America to China, there'd still be a worker surplus. China also has more skilled workers than America has people.

Take that number of people and try to find them all legit jobs.

Edit: I always found it weird how in the past conversations that are posted, the person never feels reluctant about answering some of the questions (Are you forced? What did you other accounts do? etc).

Edit(again): I feel sympathetic towards the people who are forced to work 12 hour shifts just because they were born in an overly populated country. However, I don't think it makes up for the fact that it's still illegitimate money, by doing this they show no respect for the hard work that companies like Jagex put into the mmorpgs they create and struggle to maintain, as well as my personal vendetta against the Chinese (on a completely different ground than Runescape)

She actually enjoyed talking about those things

Oh yes, reason why i didn't post this in auto/macro discussion is because it would be to long and not many people would actually read and post

It is only "poor" because of the money distribution, if there were exactly 1 billion bills of currency in the US and China, China's money would be more spread out as opposed to 3 per person.

By the way, how do you know Chinese, Jiri?

I always found talking in Chinese difficult in RS. It's sad that this person grew up, got a good education (I get this because of his English), then began working at minimum wage on something he didn't like. This "macroer" could be banned for real-world trading, but not really macroing.

There was a doco on tv not long ago about gold farmers.

Let me clear some things based on the doco.

They are not forced, its not like child slavery or anything like that. What he ment was "I dont like this game but i am forced to play it" (as in, he cant farm in wow/guild wars/etc) but its his choice to be working there.

They control about 8 computers at once.

They play 12 hours a day and are required to take breaks, usually these centers have gyms etc, its not as bad as you think.

These centers aren't only in china, theres many in San Francisco (for wow anyway).

Thought not all centers are like this, there no doubt will be slavery etc.

Obviously this guy is well educated so hes not a little slave or anything.

It was his/her job, by force she/he means he is doing something he doesnt like.

eg you work at a super market and your told to stack shelves instead of working at the check out.

in this case he works at a gold farming company and instead of playing on wow/guildwars hes playing rs.

I've spoken to a couple of dragon gold farmers before, and no, unlike what people seem to assume on here they aren't forced into workin for these companies against their will. The closest to 'forced to play' is that their boss will say you have to work 4 hour shifts with a half hour break for example. Sure, most of these people would rather have a different job, but in the same way as someone in the uk ends up working in a bank or a high street shop when they'd rather be working in graphic design.

I already knew that.....

Its horrible..China merchants "force" the poor workers to work in bad conditions all day....the ones that play video games are the lucky ones.

I just read an article about this in National Geographic.

Workers working an 8 hour day usually earn about 7usd.

China is getting worse and worse :notalk: :(

Oh and remember.....its not the acuall chinese workers who want the gold, its their disgusting greedy millionaire bosses <.<

Erm, you'd better watch yourself... Rule 12, I believe (Asking for personal details)

Ummm I don't think the sweatshop worker was feeling like this person was going to come after him so it's not really rule breaking.

about 6 years ago i was taught in a class about geography from a teacher i highly respected, that china was a poor nation, and the article that was taught to me and a class was that nike actually pays about double the monthly wages as most companies, and infact it was about $56 american dollars monthyl

He said "what country are you from?" Then said "if you mind saying." I don't think that counts.

I know they need the money but can't they all just go to wow?

Quit RuneScape :)

why would you goto a game that requires better computer specs installation disc's and a couple gigs of free memory at least 3-5gigs, and cost's 3 maybe 4 times more monthly to play? when this game is free to $5 monthly USD.

If it would be that easy then there would be no autoers
