i am working my way up to a santa and i will be rather paranoid when i get it, but i have a good idea, i'll only wear it with two other items :thumbsup:

3- Random events is the only thing you should be scared of.

that is the only thing I'm scared of. Not worried about hacking all, especially since I have a 20 character alphanumerical password \

If I had one, I'd be really paranoid...

 

 

 

 

 

3 simple steps to help ease paranoia:

 

 

 

1. "Hackers"~19/20 character alphanumerical pass.

 

 

 

2. Keyloggers~Just don't go to any...[naughty] sites, you'll be fine.

 

 

 

3. Randoms~Either only carry 3 items at any time you're wearing the rare or always carry several sharks, an anti, and a one-click tele while carrying your rare.

If I ever had a rare and was selling it, I would check the second trade screen for a minute just to be sure...

The only thing i am afraid of is lag and randoms.

 

 

 

my phat is safe in my bank.

 

my pc is good protected against any hacker or virus...

 

 

 

but i agree my phat stays in bank 99% of the time,

 

i only wear it at partys.

When i first got my santa i was a little paranoid but now not really i just put it in my bank before i logg all the time.

hacked 02' lost red phat. re-started 2003, mildly rich (mildly) and may we not talk bout the massacre, i lost my wealth in it :cry:

Simple: if u wear a santa, or phat, or whatever rares, keep nothing for your inventry and keep yourself "naked" (i.e. no armor, no rings, no boots and so on). People loses it easily as the general store only buys it for several gps (If i am right)

plus they poison of 8 damage!

Random events are not the only things you should watch out for.

 

 

 

Things like last year's fallador massacre may happen after every update, so carrying a tele, anti pot, and even food is as paranoidically safe as you can get.

 

 

 

And a ring of life would help. :thumbup:

RS is just a game and rares are just pixel.. No point to be paranoid..

 

 

 

Just pixels, but they are pixels that require countless hours of Real Life time to acquire.

 

 

 

Anyways, I'd be a bit paranoid, but I don't have the dedication to get that much money.

aaanyways... I'd sell the rare and invest it in skills.. a much better thing. I'm anti rares...

I'm lvl 98, even with no armour, a random event takes a while to kill me, ive infact killed a rock golem with no armour and my pickaxe, so I'm not worried too much.

 

 

 

Keyloggers, if you don't download dodgy stuff related to RS, you will be FINE, if you have a firewall and antivirus that is enabled and has been updated rcently you will be FINE

 

 

 

You aren't gonna lose a rare unless you do something stupid.

naa if i had i imagine i wouldent be super paranoid unless i was in wild but still i own in there anyways so im all good :mrgreen:

ppl who can realy hack accounts wouldnt bother with games like rs, theyd be gettin into like illegal stuff

once, like a sudden surge of ocd/craziness, i had to drop my blue mask(had one before) and pick it back up, iunno, lol had to know what it felt like to lose it for a sec =P im weird
