Psychologists have proven that people often attempting suicide do it to get attention, to show people they need help, and unconsciously won't truly try to kill themselves. It's a way to ask for help.

As was said earlier majority people don't hate emo people because of their complaining and whininess, not all emo people are whiny but majority are which marks the group and lands a bad impression, just like one of my friends tried to make his ex-girlfriend feel bad by being an annoying emo after they broke up... he annoyed me so.

Again why say you are emo if you don't actually follow the trend? I mean, just because I dress like a stereotypical black guy dresses it doesn't mean I"m black. (stupid example but I hope you get the idea at least).

People also think that what music you listen to determines your personality.I listen to my Chemical Romance and people call me an emo.

Most people call me a poser because I don't dress in black, cut myself or act all "What's the point of life?". Those are the stereotype emos. They are the people who attempt suicide or preform suicide jestures. They are needing something to fill a humongous hole in their life and are constantly trying to fill it up. It makes me sad when I see that. :(

I don't discriminate against them, I know alot of people do but I'm fine with anything. I took an emo girl to homecoming freshman year, didn't matter to anybody, she was just a good friend of mine.

What defines normal? Personally i dont believe in normal. If someone claims to be normal they are usually strange. Everyone is strange and thats what makes things interesting.
