Stop being so emo.

I don't hate them, but suicide, or at least attempted suicide, is something that people I know like to make fun of. I guess I get some of it off them.

I think the reason people say that emos are always depressed, is because they usually are lol.

Also, when you say emotional, you usualy think that someone is a bit touchy, a bit too sensative, if you know what i mean.

They usually wear black aswell, which usually looks depressing.

Don't get mad at me...*sniff sniff*

I'm half emo, ok?!

You see, emo is more of a slang term. It's not to be taken literally. Yes, emo stands for emotional. But the meaning has evolved to "People/a person who tries to kill themselves all the time."

The only problem I have with emos (and for that matter, other 'security groups') is their need to label themselves. You don't find me going about RS calling myself a Tip.Iter... I call myself Ginger Warrior. What's wrong with just being yourself? I never got the moshers' ideology - "We just want to express our individuality" - well in that case, why are you calling yourself the same thing, rather dependantly on everyone else?

I certainly don't take the Mickey out of people who slit themselves. It's not a nice feature, no, but it's certainly not something that should be humoured on.

I don't have a problem with people being emotional (well actually it kinda annoys me) because a few days ago I was sat down having a drink with this girl I vaguely know and she started crying and it was really awkward because I had no idea what to do in a situation like that..I guess people openly showing affection like that irritates me :-k

Anyway, people that "cut themselves" or be all depressed in front of others aren't really depressed they just do it for attention. People that are really depressed don't show it and usually hide behind their real emotions, they certainly don't make an expedition of it.

I don't like people that call themselves emo. And then be totally deep and non-conforming by wearing all the same clothes and listening to the same music as every other person that labels themself an emo.

Their poetry sucks.

I really wouldn't call it an era. It was more of a definitive time period during which dinstinctive characteristics were expressed in similar ways.

emo discrimination

Emo discrimination? What is with everyone screaming 'discrimination' nowadays at every opportunity. I mean fair enough, if you belong to a group thats being persecuted, lynched, murdered and unjustly treated by the law for centuries, but this is going too far. I mean for gods sake I was watching Richard & Judy (a daily topical/current events/chatshow in the UK) and even they had a segment about ginger discrimination. Whats wrong with everyone these days? It's like people seem to be crying 'discrimination' at any opportunity over the most petty of incidents. It's like every different social group has a big element with a persecution complex.

At the end of the day, children/teenagers call each other names - the same thing has been going on for hundreds of years. It's a simple concept people who have something different about them will likely be picked on because of that. Now, I'm not condoning that in any way but it does not warrant the term discrimination.

1. emo does not stand for emotional it stands for emotive hardcore. All music is emotional.

2. there is no "emo discrimination"

3. boo hoo hoo. remember down the road not across the street.

Just for the record I find there overly tight pants offensive, it's just wrong. Other than that I don't mind them to much, unless they start going form super happy to super sad or vice versa. I'm a mello guy, so poeple who are overly emotinal (happy, sad, excited, etc..) or have mood swings just piss me off.

They can listen to whatever they want to, but imposing it upon all of us by complaining all of the time is the root of the problem, and why they are so widely hated.

We can breath in space, they just don't want us to escape

Emos are such drama queens, always complaining and saying they're depressed, sad, etc when they're really not. But hey, they're almost as quite funny as gangstas. :P

Every emo is different, there's nice ones, evil ones, creepy ones, gay ones, playful ones, depressed ones...

You just cant judge all of them in a basket, they're all different.

I think people pick on emos because they seem weak, some of them are gays, easy targets.

You'll be nonconformist, too, if you look just like me. :XD:

OT: I hate emos because they act like they're the only ones who have deal with anything. They act like the world is against them and everyone else's lives is just full of puppies and rainbows. I mean, it's not like every other teenager has to deal with aggravating parents, an annoying job, the drama of HS, or anything else. Just them. <.<

Why do you call yourself an emo? Did you wake up one day and decide you needed to join a group and then change your look to fit that mold? If you don't want to be 'discriminated' against, don't give people a reason to. Half the time they're annoyed you assimilated yourself into a stereotype. If you want to lose the stereotype and the associated perceptions people have of you, actually be yourself. You didn't come up with the idea to dress like an emo. You got it from other people.

handed me TWO tissues to clear up. I was like "i'm going to need a few more paper towels than that luv"

I hate emo's because they're try hards. All you did was listen to one of your crappy bands, heard them talking about how [cabbage] their life is, and you thought it was cool. So you started to act like that, and dress like them. Now let me tell you, it is not cool. You have no real problems, other then the fact you haven't got any personality.

untitled-1.png

Because emo's are whiny little [bleep]es who like gay music, and always like to be different but then have another whinge when people treat them different when their trying to be different.

Seriously the guys (males) who wear tight black jeans, wear black mascara and nail polish, some gay black emo band t-shirt and have some horrible haircut, should be treated as an abnormal human being. IT IS NOT NORMAL, neither socially accepted as the norm, so don't cry about being treated differently. <.<
