Star_Fox
The location of this dungeon is a closely guarded secret, though, so you̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ll need to prove yourself worthy to gain access. Construct burial ships, wield new one-handed spears, start fires the old-fashioned way, modify potions and go bare-handed harpoon fishing... then, with a bit of luck, they̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ll invite you in. for the boat, im guessing construction for the one handed spears, im guessing attack for the fires, im guessing firemaking for the modifying potions, im guessing herblore for the one handed harpoon fishing, im guessing fishing what will the requirements be to get in the mithril dragon dunegon? im hoping all of it will be 61+ as i have my stats at that level. :

Dork
not everyone is a skiller :shame: Not everyone trains combat either  Why shouldn't it take both skills and melee to access a dragon large? Rather than exclude players, I think jagex should include as many as possible in the new update if it's for high level combat. I mean, considering that skills only open up the area, and you're still going to need good combat anyway. What would be the harm in having low skill requirements to let as many experience it as possible ( I say this fully knowing that later this month I'll be excluded despite being over 100 combat :) but I don't mind ) so really i have no good reason why it should lowskills/no skills :P. it's just mad dreams  100 Combat91 Strength70 Defense82 Attack85 Magic =)

krisc6
as long as the mith dragons really hard for those high level skilled monster hunters then we shouldnt really be wooried about the reqirements.constructiong burial ships out of cardboard and fishing for shrimp with youre hands  but really it would be nice if it required 80 fish,75 cons,75 herblore,70 attack etc. i cant wait to see how the quest/mini quest pans out. They've put all this effort into making the game and most people only use certain bits - places like Keldagrim are abandoned. And even though things like level 3 skillers and people who only focus on combat are allowed (even encouraged by the system) Jagex would far prefer it if you do as much as you can in game - they designed the game for you to enjoy it, and they like seeing you enjoy it. Things like Monkfish encourage that - in order to access a very nice area for some very nice fish, a large amount of varied skills are required. I hope it will be similar here. In order to access a new area for potentially huge profits a large and varied skill repertoire will be required. It's Jagex's way of rewarding you for playing their game fully. Goals to get my skills back up to a barely respectable level on the high scores: Currently going for Bone to Peaches spell. It's amazing how boring doing the same repetitive task is! By giving it high skill requirements, the monster becomes a reward for players who do raise the non combat skills. I really like this approach, since it shows that runescape is much more than purely combat based. So, bring on the skill requirements!
Lord Diddy
I hope requirements aren't too high so a lucky few don't get rich off of dragon full helms. You pretty much summed up Jagex's plan. Also is relatively the point of having a "rare" drop. Mithril Dragons will probably be equivalent to a boss type monsters (as in 2-3 dragons in the lair and everyone trying to do most damage to get the drop.) I highly doubt it would be logical to have that high level of monster without multi combat, even if we wanted to because then the drop rate would have to be high for trying to kill a dragon for 5 mins straight. As for requirements to get into, I pray it isn't fully quest-oriented.
aglips
Since the Mith Dragon is a very high level monster, I expect and hope that Jagex makes the required levels start at 70 all the way up to 85 or 90. This will reward the players who have all around skills.

Em nah don't think so - lets look at it this way, most people can fight dragons, dags etc without having to have very high skills and they get dragon drops, so just because the mith dragon is a high lvl should'nt mean that there has to be a limit on who can fight it. Solidus_77
It's possible the different requirements could be referring to a quest. It would be a bit big but I wouldn't discount the possibility. I just hope that the people capable of beating these mith dragons is limited enough. I also am wondering about the dragon itself, more than what it takes to get to it. 76th to reach 99 Construction on 6th of February 2007379th to reach 99 Runecrafting on 4th of November 2007 Finally the secrets of goal achieving are revealed!
