Killy_the_Kid
With the arrival of the new random, Jagex for some reason thought it was right to abolish one of the randoms that hinder macros the most: when the head of your axe flies off, for some stupid classroom. Now don't get me wrong, a new random is mighty fine and dandy, but why take out another that greatly attacks macros? Is there any reason for it? Why let the enemy win? If anything, there should be more "bad" randoms. Congratulations, Jagex. You scored a point in your own goalpost. EDIT: Fixed. Hyt Chat FOREVERI have quit RuneScape. I have posted on the Leaving sticky saying so. no_way2go
As said before the ent is still there and the axe head random was fixed by autoers within the week of it's release. I know, I used to be part of the cheating scene. No need for a random that doesn't stop autoers. They replaced it with something harder, what are you complaining about? - Back to casual f2p scaping due to limited time (university and girlfriend ) -
jaym112
I have yet to see an autoer that didn't pick up his axe head, so I would assume that the random is ineffective against them. =|

Alg
the axe head random hurt people more than it helped kill off macros... on my skiller account, i noticed that most bring a spare tool so that they don't have to stop. Exactly. The new random event actually holds a macroer inside the area until they complete every test given by the teacher. Although it doesn't full 'stop' the macro, macros will have to wait until the human owner logs on to the account to get the character out. I find it's a lot more effective than the broken axe random event.

Dragonlordjl
The axe head random didn't do jack [cabbage] to autoers, yet it cost many people millions. Macros use rune axes, which are practically free to replace. Meanwhile, a normal player has his dragon axe head fly off and is browsing forums.... So he loses it. It's not fair. And don't give me that [cabbage] about paying attention: are you HONESTLY going to sit there and watch your character chop a tree for hours on end? Who
It actually is a bad idea. The easy solution is just to make Dragon Axes impervious to that, since they are the most expensive, and macros wouldn't dare buy and use them. The ultimate random would be something that's impossible to complete with merely a series tests on what pixels the screen is showing. I think this random is getting closer to that goal (you have to answer 3 logic questions, and then exit a specified door)

True, but in retrospect it does do some good. Pros: - Dragon Axe prices increase - Dag Kings worth doing more to balance it - Macros buy it for like 3m, which they pay out of their own pocket, thus reducing the amount they have to sell to people - Banning macros with Dragon axes decreases the amount of gold in the game. Cons: - WCers would be mad about the axe price increase - ??? - Profit! Killy_the_Kid
I have an idea. Instead of just making Dragon axes invincible just like that, they could make up a woodcutting-based quest that at the end, you could ask the guy who sent you on it to strengthen your axe for a price that varies with the type. But then, that axe would become untradeable and would be called: Ex. Rune axe (s) s for strengthend. So then, Ents couldn't hurt your axe. Hyt Chat FOREVERI have quit RuneScape. Platinum_Myr
Lol, the axe head random caused a TON of problems, not least of which was the "dragon axe handle" scam... They sold an axe handle for millions, even though all axe handles are the same... You could put a dragon head on an axe handle that a bronze axe fell off... bangupall
Autoers are a pain in the backside, but get banned within a few days which doesn't enable them to make much money. You should treasure randoms lol  because they help to slow down autoers which is a good thing, right? The main problem is 'Gold Farmers'. If you don't know what 'Gold Farmers' are, they are people who sit on runescape all day doing one skill and making lots of money. They then sell it to lazy users on rs for real life money. 'Gold Farmers' effectively use runescape to make a living! #-o. As they are always watching the screen, randoms aren't a problem for them so they don't work in this instance, the main problem is trying to pinpoint out these noobs. It is rather hard to find out if someone is real life trading. This is why they are the bigger problem. I still hate autoers. They are the lazy old farts! Kill em' all!! They need to have mass macro ban i meen it will take a J mod 10 minutes to ban everyone in draynor in a crowded macro world.
