jondea0
after a few tests i have managed to find out that pest control now give half exp for damage dealt on monsters? the question i have is that was it like this before? Link Here Remember, you get all the normal experience you would from combat while you are in this mini game, so this can actually turn into fairly fast training if you are consistently successful. and i cant seem to find it in the Runescape announcement Link Here am i wrong? I know cashing in points gives less im talking about while on the island and killing monsters discuss a combat reformation
Ngorge
I can confirm that the damage done on monsters yields half the normal exp (i.e. 2 instead of 4 per hit point of damage done). I haven't pc'ed in a while until recently, so I'm not entirely sure if this was a change or not. It is disappointing though. I actually range (use dispensables), so it slows my range xp considerably. Wkw
PS was good xp before the change, without points. Just wacking the monsters was great xp, but now that they changed it so you have to wack monsters more, you get half xp. That was worse part of update tbh Runescape player since 2005 Ego Sum Deus Quo Malum Caligo et Barathum
Arch_Tyrant
I actually liked the pc update before I read this. Kinda ridiculous if you ask me. ...If it is really true of course :?
Dragon_lord
Cashing in your PC points now only gives you 35% of the previous amount of xp. This was intentional, as PC was ment to be a mini-game, not an alternative to training combat. Pretty much what Dragon said.Thread terminated.I guess that means I'm the thread Terminator? No Tip.Iters were harmed in the making of this post.
Kill_Thomas9
so you get 75% as fast for points, and exp 50% as fast in the actual game. What a great minigame this is turning out to be...

leebrave
As far a s i look at PC although its great for EXP don't you think it defeats the objective of RS - being that you should fight monsters etc etc to gain the lvls you want and exp I think the update has made PC better and I do love going to help out the novice boat - its fun and its gives the new guys a good fast boost. Dork
And did you bother to read the PC update?... yes i even linked it to my page. please read the entire post please Linking to it doesn't mean you've read it. Our general aims with rates of experience are to make features worthwhile training on while not being so good that they render other training methods obsolete and it is this balance that we have worked hard to achieve. It was Jagex' intention to slow the rate of experience. At 99 you can still get 70k experience per hour, from 28 games per hour. Hitting an average of 200 per game (you'll usually get alot more, considering the length of games now) is an additional 11k experience an hour on top of that. Which still exceeds most training places, AND you're paid for it after each game. jessy87
I bet Castle Wars in the 20 mins gives better exp then this. then what? 1 game? 10 games.... and then are you playing CW to capture your flag, or defend or are you being a guy who runs around trying to kill low lvl players? it all depends so, lay off the drama. krisc6
who cares.adding extra boats meant that i can finally go after void knight robes without having those horrible clan requirements for entry and all those angry pest control players. i hope those pc products who were complaining they were gonna quit do because if theyre only here to play pest control then they should be eveluating why their playing. although i believe that runescape is a game in whichyou choose how you play it,pest control is the worst update ever and i might just get a job at jagex to nuke that island off the map -.-

Bard_Bow_Man
I love this update, maybe, in time, lvl 97 will get a little more respect, (especially since I rarely used pc). (I used it to get to 65 to 66 range w/out because I hate training range; and to go from 75 to 77 strength.) We tried using an abyssal whip to 'suggest' they work faster

Kietaro1
Does this go for consumables as well? I am a mage that uses Ice Barrage on the island. I still get insane experiance considering I am hitting 16+ on 4 or 5 monsters but it still costs me runes... ah well tis is life I guess.
