Ragen
Sorry to still be banging on about this but I listened to Insects through headphones last night and it sounded brilliant. Suddenly the guitar was smoother and more satisfying. Other stuff you should check out: Carcass (think they are classified as grindcore but they actually have some nice melodies in there) Entombed - Get the Morning Star Album, its brilliant In Flames - Get the Jester Race Machine Head - Really good thrash/ groove metal band http://amonamarth.com/ Pretty good european metal. Battle Metal, it's very good. Don't like on, you won't like the other I think I'm off to see Amon Amarth at the end of October :XD: They're supporting Dimmu Borgir. Thanks Venomai for this super sig and Kwimbob for the awesome avatar!

If you want a really eerie but similar song by them listen to "emogenis puzzle pt. 2" thats the other song by them that I really enjoy. It's a great song to put onto a stereo and place out on you're front porch on Halloween (you'll see what I mean lol). It's very different from anything I've heard from other metal bands. Mithr4ndir
Hmm, where to begin. There are good Death Metal bands such as: Nile and Children of Bodom Excellent Progressive Metal Bands like: Dream Theater <-- Greatest and most technical band around today, Symphony X, Opeth Symphonic Metal: Nightwish, Therion Excellent Thrash from: Early Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth

Ragen
Dimmu Borgir of course. It really doesn't get much better. Joke? I've had a listen to some of their stuff and I wouldn't really call it metal. It's all ambient eerie stuff. Anyone got some good tracks to start off with? Thanks Venomai for this super sig and Kwimbob for the awesome avatar! king_kenny69
Dimmu Borgir's current drummer, Hellhammer, is Europe's fastest drummer. So yeah, you could say there a bit heavy. My Last.Fm

Satenza
That name rivals "bucket head" as stupidest name ever. With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Sometimes the heavy cold rains would beat it back so that it would seem that it would never come and that you were losing a season out of your life. But you knew that there would always be the spring as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason. In those days though the spring always came finally but it was frightening that it had nearly failed.
Ragen
I wouldn't know, I never heard them. But man, they look heavy! Don't you agree? Damn, you've got a point there. That name rivals "bucket head" as stupidest name ever. I think in Norwegian it means Ice Fortress or something, which in a local ledgend is a gateway to hell through the ice. I've had a listen to their more of their stuff and it's pretty heavy. Nothing on death metal though. Thanks Venomai for this super sig and Kwimbob for the awesome avatar! Poopingman
His name is Hellhammer? Wow. Ok his real name is Jan Axel Blomberg, they all just mess with their names to sound eerie and evil, haha.
