legilgalad2
I am sure by now many people have heard that F2P have an update, the party house has been moved to Falador. Now before everyone starts shouting "They don't pay so they shouldn't get updates!" maybe Jagex had ulterior motives than the happiness of their F2p's. What I mean is that as many members should know you can organise a balloon drop in which you can conceal prizes. sure this can be abused now by F2pers who stuff the balloons with spades or something else useless like that. However, I went for a visit to the party house and it was packed with lower levels ectactic with the 1k they found or their 'cool bow' and their black square shield. So does anyone else think that Jagex might have introduced the party house to F2p in order to try and curb begging? because if they do want free stuff all they have to do is go to the party house... All ideas welcome Legil Woodcutting does not raise your combat level because most people do not play as yew trees.
phata_elise
I think that Jagex was going to move the party anyway when they were gonna update seers. Falador is a good place for it as it has plenty of spare room. If it's in fally anyway, you get the option to make the party hall f2p. Since the party hall isn't really a membership attracting feature anyway and that it stops scamming by use of drop parties, makes it a good idea of making it f2p. legilgalad2
o yeah, I forgot about the drop parties, looks like they might just go extinct now. Fairness
They wrote it in the Behind the Scenes, maybe with a reason, maybe it was a bad idea for them, but whatever happened they removed it. Then they decided that it wouldn't be a good step to promise something then pull it back when many, many people saw it already and decided to put it in. I could think of that only :anxious: You're being watched.
Umega
Just because f2p is free, doesn't mean they aren't aloud updates. F2p usually gets something new once a year. No longer playing Runescape, I caught the WoW bug.

legilgalad2
I'm not trying to have a go at F2p, I'm F2P myself and i have noticed that we do get a few updates here and there from time to time, I just windered whether Jagex might have had differnet reasons for moving the party house other than just for the sake of F2P. sined_starbo
Myself I like that the party room has been made available to F2P. A nice little fun thing which will prob get alot more use in F2P then what it had in P2P. Anyon wanting free stuf should just go there instead of harrassing others with begging now. Ginger_Warrior
Nobody has ever argued that F2P shouldn't be allowed updates. those of us that have said anything about this issue, myself included, have said they don't deserve updates. The two statements are completely different. | Favourite Game Music | Last.fm | HYT Friend Chat Rules |
hkscaper
I'm pretty sure they move the party hall to make room for the court in Seers'. But now NE Falador has something useful and the f2pers are happy, who am I to complain?
leapfrog
I think that it's a good update. I mean, sure, there's not usually going to be great stuff in there but this gets rid of at least some drop parties, which create spam almost every single time they happen. Now at least people can see the stuff they're getting instead of going "show stuff plz" and "@@@@@@@@@@@@" Now I just hope it'll cut down on the begging. F2p updates are always good in one way or another. :D I guess cause I never saw the need. I also felt that if I moved into the version of the game that was always changing that it would in some way invalidate the work that I had already put into my account. wild_goat_14
Who actaully used the party room anyway? Well free to play deserves atleast 1 update per year right? No. They are lucky they can play an MMO for free, and they actually don't deserve updates until they pay for em. I shall take my flock underneath my own wing, and kick them right the [bleep] out of the tree. No. They are lucky they can play an MMO for free, and they actually don't deserve updates until they pay for em. They pay trough ads. It's not like jagex is loosing money trough f2p. BloodArgon
Fally has alot of empty houses, they could use the party hall... And, who cares if FTP gets an update, are you jealous? 99 Crafting :: 39,750th || 99 Attack :: 1,775th
12pure34
Were you using the Party room? I know I didn't. Man, I hardly went in there. Nothing to do! Drop parties are mostly held in people's houses anyway! A lot more fun. No, this update is great. F2P needed something new. Something to stop scamming. Something to stop begging. Heck, they can keep that party room! It is great as it is at the moment. There for F2P. They love it! And finaly.. I love it to. Because it is being used now. If members have something which is never/hardly. And it would mean a lot to F2P? Then give it! Another interesting idea, give them everything we don't want :P Overreacting here :-w nah, I think F2P got what they needed now. And I think all members are pleased with it. Nobody should complain about it.. Jagex did good here. And it may be said. Spread the word!
Randomnameless
I was reading some where else on the forum and some one said that since Jagax redid seers, they realized the party room didn't go there all that well. The party room is fun for most low level players, but since mostly low levels go there, the stuff is crap.
underu2000
jagex did good here. And it may be said. Spread the word! I agree here. A lot of people in f2p are having fun with it, and should be fun for a few more months till the excitement wears off. Life is a joke. Yeah, I don't get it either. Powman3
F2P should get some updates, and I think this is good for them to have fun with and stuff. Personally I'd like it in Falador more because of World 2 and how people will drop so many things there *dreams of one day of getting a whip for free*
